OBSTACLE FREE SAFETY ZONE - 31 ' 4" x 28' (9.55 x 8.53 m) area requires protective
surfacing. Safety zone is for the configuration as shown In manual.

Prior
to the construction of your play set, check with the local building code official to review any
required permits or building limitations.

OMPLETE SITE PREPARATION AND FOUNDATION C ONSTRUCTION BEFORE
UNPA C KING ALL PARTS.
A level
and sturdy foundation is required before play set construction can begin.
• DO NOT install home play ground equipment over concrete, asphalt, packed earth, grass, carpet, or any
other hard surface. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury to the play set user.

This kit contains parts that can be damaged if assembled incorrectly
or in
the wrong sequence.

Anchors suppli ed are to be used under normal soi l conditions. Terrain varies, and depending on
your terrain, othe r anchors/anchoring methods may need to be used. Contact your local building
supply
retailer for recommendations for your application.

A CAUTION
• Play set not intended for use in extreme weather conditions.
• DO NOT stand, sit,
or store items on top of play set.
• Handle carefully in
extreme temperatures.
• Repair
or replace broken parts immediately. Call 1-800-846-2345 for replacement parts.
• Suncast is
not responsible for damage caused by weather or misuse.

At regular intervals inspect your play set to make sure that assembly integrity has been maintained.
• Periodically
check that the location you have chosen to set your play set is still level.
• Avoid
excess heat from any auxiliary source.
• Any additional holes drilled into
parts could cause unsafe conditions.
• Follow
manufacturer safety instructions when using ladder .
• Exercise caution using a lawn mower,
edge trimmer or other yard equipment near play set.
Note: This product contains parts that are usedin different orientations to construct the play set. Please take note
of the orientation of the parts shown throughout this instruction manual. Failure to follow instructions could result in
damage to parts. Suncast
is not responsible for replacing parts lost or damaged due to incorrectassembly.

Vista Play Set/Safety and Care
• Wash play set with garden hose or mild detergent solution and soft cloth. DO NOT use a stiff brush or
abrasive cleaner as that could damage play set.
• Hot items, such
as recently used grills, blowtorches, etc., must not be used in or near play set.

WARNING -Safe Play Instructions
• Observe capacity limitations of your Vista Play Set.
• Carefully supervise children on
play equipment to make sure they are safe .
• Dress children appropriately.
• Children should
avoid pushing and shoving while playing on play set.
• Install and maintain a
shock-absorbing surface around play set. Use at least 9" of wood chips,
mulch,
or shredded rubber for play equipment up to 7' high. If sand or pea gravel is used, install at
least a 9" layer for play equipment up to 5' high. Or, use surfacing mats made of safety-tested
rubber or rubber-like materials. Install protective surfacing at least 6' in all directions from play set.
• Remove
tripping hazards, like exposed concrete footings, tree stumps, and rocks.
•
Check for spaces that could trap children, such as openings in guardrails or between ladder
rungs.
• Regularly
check play equipment and surfaces to make sure both are in good condition. Check for
hardware, like open "S" hooks or protruding bolt ends, which can be hazardous.
• Teach children
to sit in the center of the swing . NEVER stand or kneel.
• DO NOT loop swings over the top support beam.
•
Avoid swinging empty swings, and NEVER twist swing chains which may weaken them.
• DO NOT let children get off swings while they are in motion.
• NEVER attach ropes, jump ropes, clotheslines, or pet leashes to play equipment. Children can
strangle on these.
• A rope is supplied with
this play set. DO NOT attach additional ropes.
• DO NOT allow children to wear bike helmets on play set, due to strangulation risk.
• Children should ALWAYS slide
down feet first, sitting up, one child at a time.
• DO NOT walk close to, in front of, behind, or between moving items.
• DO NOT use the equipment in a manner other than intended.
• DO NOT allow children to climb up a slide.
• DO NOT allow children to walk in front of slides and swings.
• DO NOT permit climbing when play set is wet.

Assembly Tips
• Complete site preparation and foundation construction before unpacking parts and
beginning assembly.
• DO NOT attempt to assemble on a day with strong winds.
• DO NOT attempt to assemble on days when temperature is below 32 degrees.
• Set aside appropriate amount
of time to completely assemble play set.
• Make sure you have assistance nearby
to lift and secure parts in place.
• Wear light-duty
work gloves while assembling play set.

• Sort and familiarize yourself with parts and hardware before beginning assembly.

CAUTION -Protrusion Hazard
Once assembly is tightened, watch
for exposed threads. If a thread
protrudes from the T-nut, remove
bolt
and add washers to eliminate this
condition. Extra
wa shers have been
provided
for this purpose.
Proper Hardw are Assembly
Lag screws require drilling pilot holes
to avoid splitting wood. A lock washer
and flat washer are required
for every
hex head lag screw. For ease of
installation, liqu id soap can be used
on all lag-type screws.
For bolts,
tap T- nut into hole with
hammer. Insert hex bolt through lock
washer first, then flat washer, then
hole. Because assemblies need
to be
squared DO NOT completely tighten
until instructed. Pay close attention
to diameter of bolts.

Instructions for Proper Maintenance
Keeping a play set in good condition is essential to reduce injuries. Save these instructions so you can
order parts
that break or wear out.
The following maintenance schedule is recommended:
• Check nuts and bolts twice a month and tighten as needed.
• Lubricate all metallic moving parts with oil
or water dispersant.
•
Check the condition of the equipment, looking for signs of wear and tear such as broken or missing
components, bent pipes
or tubing, and splintering wooden surfaces. Repair as necessary.
• Check swing seats, ropes, chains, and cables monthly for deterioration and replace as needed.
• Clean, sand, and repaint rusted areas with a non-lead-based paint, as needed.
• Remove plastic swing seats in cold weather.
• Rake surfacing periodically
to prevent compaction and maintain appropriate depths .
If you dispose of your play set: Please disassemble and dispose of your unit so that it does not
create any unreasonable hazards at the time it is discarded. Be sure to follow your local waste
ordinances. Recycle plastic parts.
