Follow basic safety advice when using electrical appliances. To avoid burns,
electric shock, fire and/or personal damage, please read the instructions
for use carefully before using the appliance and follow all indications when
using the appliance.
Keep these instructions for use in a safe place for future use.
If you pass on this appliance to someone else, please give him or her these
instructions for use as well.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Only connect the appliance to mains sockets that have been installed in
accordance with local regulations. Do not use any power strips or extension
cables.
• The voltage indicated on the appliance’s label must be the same as your mains
supply voltage.
• When using the appliance, make sure no one can trip over the power cable.
• When using the appliance, make sure no one can trip over the appliance itself.
• Keep the appliance, power cable and plug away from naked flames, hot flames
and sharp edges. When using, make sure the cable does not become jammed
(e.g. in doors).
• Never handle the appliance, power cable or plug with damp or wet hands.
• Do not immerse the appliance, power cable and plug in water or other liquids.
There is a risk of death through electrocution!
• Pull out the plug and do not pull on the cable to remove the plug from the mains
socket.
• The appliance is suitable for use in houses only. Do not use the appliance in
damp rooms or outside.
• Do not use the appliance near heat sources or naked flames.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use or while it is connected to
the mains.
• Do not use the appliance in an environment where there is an open fire (e. g.
chimney), naked flames (e. g. candles), flammable gases, liquids or dust.
Fire and ignition hazards!
• Never use the appliance near curtains or other soft/hanging materials.
• Do not insert any objects or body parts in the vents. Make sure that objects or
dirt do not block the vent slits. Do not use the appliance if these are blocked.
Blocked up vents can cause the motor to overheat and subsequently can result in
damage to the motor.
• Never use the cable to carry the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance on uneven surfaces and avoid tipping over the
appliance while in use (e.g. on stairs).
• Turn the appliance off and remove the plug before cleaning.
• Children do not recognise the dangers that can result from use of electrical
appliances. Keep children away from appliance. Be especially vigilant when
using the appliance if children are nearby.

• Keep packaging materials like plastic bags and polystyrene parts out of the reach
of children. Risk of suffocation!
• Do not use the appliance if it is visibly damaged, broken or otherwise not
functioning correctly.
• Check the appliance, power cable and mains plug regularly for visible damage.
Do not use the appliance under any circumstances if it is visibly damaged. Do not
try to repair the appliance yourself.
• Repairs should be carried out by qualified specialists only.
• Only use the appliance for its designated purpose.
• The appliance has been designed for domestic use only and not for professional
use.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Remove all appliance parts from the packaging and remove all packaging
materials and inserts.
• Remove the screws from the stand parts. Press the stand together.
TIP: There is a cable channel on the stand. Please first place the fan cable in the
channel and place under the holding pins provided. Then press both stand parts
together.
• Firmly put the stand on the fan.
• Thread all screws through the holes and connect the stand to the fan. Tighten all
the screws. CAUTION: Do not jam the screws.
• Place the fan on the stand.

USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Plug the mains plug into a mains socket.
2. The appliance has the following functions:
• Low speed (1)
• Medium speed (2)
• High speed (3)
• Fan rotation
• Programmable timer for 20 – 120 minutes operating time.
3. Turn the start control to “ON” and then press one of the speed buttons. The
appliance will start up.
4. You can start the rotation function by pressing the “OSCILLATION“ button. You
can only start the swivel function once the fan is already running. The fan will
turn if the (MOVE) button is depressed and will remain still if the button is not
activated (STOP). Should you wish to switch from rotation mode to still mode,
press the button and the fan will stay in the current position.
5. You can turn on the timer function by rotating the time control to the desired
operating time. Then press one of the speed buttons (1 – 3 ). The fan will turn off
once the time has elapsed. The control will then read “OFF”:
TIP: The timer clock in the fan will continue to tick after the appliance has been
automatically switched off. Press the “OFF” button next to the speed buttons.
6. If you wish to turn the fan off manually, press the “OFF” button next to the
speed buttons.
CLEANING AND CARE
Beware:
Always remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the appliance, power cable and plug in water or other liquids
while cleaning. Clean with a dry cloth.
• In cases of ingrained dirt, you can wipe down the outside of the appliance with a
damp cloth and then dry off carefully. Make sure that no moisture gets into the
inside of the appliance.
• When cleaning, do not use any aggressive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive
cleaners or other hard objects that could scratch the surfaces.
• Clean the appliance regularly.
• Do not use oil-based solvents, petrol or cleaners, as these can damage the
housing.

DISPOSAL
Old electrical appliances from private households
• If you do not want to use the electrical appliance any more, take
it to a collection facility for old electrical appliances, which will
take it free of charge.
• Old electrical appliances must not under any circumstances be
thrown into residual waste (see symbol).
ADDITIONAL DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
• Hand over the old electrical appliance in such a condition that
it can be reused or made use of. Remove batteries first and avoid
damaging containers that contain liquids.
• Old electrical appliances may contain pollutants. These may,
if handled incorrectly or if the appliance is damaged, pose a
threat to health or may lead to water and soil contamination
when the appliance is re-utilised.
SERVICE / WARRANTY
The warranty is valid for 3 years and starts from the date of purchase. Please retain
the sales receipt to prove date of purchase.
It covers defects and malfunctions that may occur through normal use during the
warranty period.
You will not be liable for any repairs made during the warranty period.
The warranty is rendered invalid in the event of damages, modifications to or
misuse of the appliance, where these fall outside the warranty issuer’s sphere of
responsibility. This applies to the following cases in particular:
• Non-authorised personnel tampering with the appliance.
• Modifications to the outside and inside of the appliance, removal or disguising
of the serial number or modifications to the appliance seal.
• Damages that are the result of the appliance receiving blows, being dropped or
being subject to external influences.
• Damages that are the result of improper handling or misuse.
• In the event of damages caused by external factors, such as power surges,
lightning strikes.
• Professional use of the appliance.

Your statutory rights are not restricted by this warranty in the event of appliance
defects (additional delivery, withdrawal, loss, recovery of damages).
Please retain the original packaging in case you need to send the appliance back for
repair.
Repaired or exchanged components are generally subject to the appliance’s
remaining warranty period.
