Safety Notes
Please mind the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damages or physical injuries:
• Do not expose the inspection camera to excessive temperatures or
strong vibrations and avoid strong mechanical stress.
• Use the inspection camera for its designed purpose, to inspect hard
to reach areas in automotives and machines. The unit is not designed
for medical purposes and the inspection camera may not be used on persons and animals!
• Do not use the unit in high voltage circuits. Make sure the placed or
objects to be inspected are always voltage-free.
• The swan neck and the camera head are waterproof and can be inserted into liquids of any kind,
except of acids and bases for the max. duration of 1 hour.
Make sure the handle of the inspection camera does not become wet.
• The inspection camera may not be used in explosive areas.
• Do not bend the swan neck too much. The min. bending radius of the swan neck is 5 cm. Do not bend the swan neck on the
screw connection.
• If you do not use the inspection camera for some time, store the unit in the delivered carrying bag. By doing this you will protect
the inspection camera against dust and dirt.
• Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, humidity, dirt, high temperature, strong light or strong magnetic fields.
• If you do not plan to use the unit for some time, remove the battery.
• Do not disassemble, burn, or short-circuit batteries and do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Do not modify the unit. Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does not contain parts serviceable by you. If
there are any questions or problems, please contact our customer service.
• Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed
to use the unit, unless they are supervised for their safety by a qualified
person or are briefed by the responsible person how to use the unit.
• The inspection camera is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave packaging materials lying around. Plastic bags may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Do not stare directly into the LEDs and do not direct the light beam towards peoples or animals.
The LEDs confirm to LED Class 1 according to EN 60825-1:2007.
• Do not operate the camera at temperatures below 0°C and over +45°C.
• Make sure the handle of the inspection camera and the display cannot become wet.
• Do not operate the inspection camera with opened battery compartment!
Installation and Using
Before first Use
Remove all parts from the packaging. Keep packaging material out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation!
Inserting/replacing the Battery
Unscrew the screw of the battery compartment lid (6) and remove the lid.
1. Carefully pull down the battery terminals and connect the battery, observe right polarity. The unit needs a 9 V battery of the type
6LR61.
2. Insert the battery into the housing and tighten the battery compartment lid. Do not tighten the screw too much.
Remove the spent battery as soon as possible and always replace the battery with a fresh one of the same type. Leaking
batteries can cause damage to the electronic circuits.
ATTENTION! Do not use the inspection cameras with opened battery compartment lid!
Mounting the Swan Neck
1. Loosen the screw connection (3) by turning counter clockwise and connect the swan neck with the suitable socket on the
housing. Please note the swan neck fits only in one position into the socket.
2. Tighten the screw connection by turning counter clockwise. Do not overtighten the screw connection.
3. According to application, bend the swan neck to the desired form.
