CONNECT TO THE DUCTING
1. The heater should be connected to the ducting as fol-
lows:
a) TBLE 000-031 and 000-040
The electric heater is designed for connection directly to
spiral ducts. Secure the heater to the ducting by means of
pop rivets.
b) TBLE 080-040 and 120-060
The electric air heater can be fitted in the ducting or
directly to the air handling unit. Secure the electric heater
with a sealing strip and slip clamps with PG connection.
2. The airflow direction through the electric heater must
be according to the arrow on the side of the heater, at the
base of the junction box.
3. The electric heater can be installed in a horizontal or
a vertical duct, with the junction box either upward or
turned within 90° toward either side. Installation with the
junction box facing downward is not permissible.
4. The electric air heater should be located at a distance
to or from a duct bend, damper, filter or similar compo-
nent. This distance should be at least equivalent to
a) double the duct diameter (TBLE 000-031 and TBLE
000-040).
b) its cross-section measured diagonally, i.e. from corner
to corner in the in-duct section of the heater. (TBLE
080-040 och 120-060).
Otherwise, there is a risk that the air stream through the
heater won't be uniform and this may cause the overhea-
ting protection to trip.
5. The electric air heater must be insulated according to
local ventilation ducting standards. The heater must be
insulated with incombustible insulation material. The
insulation must not conceal the cover, since the rating
plate must be visible and it must be possible to remove the
cover.
6. The in-duct section with built-in heating element must
be accessible for replacement and inspection.
7. The distance from the metal casing of the electric air
heater to wood or any other combustible material must
not be less than 30 mm.

OPERATION
The TBLE electric air heater has a built-in thyristor that is
controlled across a 0–10 Volt signal from the GOLD unit.
The electric heater has two overheating protections wired
in series. One resets itself automatically; the other must be
manually reset. These protections are designed to prevent
excessively high temperature if the airflow should become
too low and are designed to prevent overheating in the
event of some system malfunction.
The control signal and overheating protection can be
wired to the GOLD unit across a cable with connector.
If overheating protection trips, an alarm indication will be
visible in the hand-held terminal of the GOLD unit. Find
the cause of the fault and take remedial action. Press the
reset button on the heater to reset the overheating pro-
tection and then press the reset button on the hand-held
terminal.

Electrical Connection
1. The electrical installation must be carried out by a quali-
fied electrician according to local regulations.
The electric air heater has been granted approval by
SEMKO, NEMKO, DEMKO and the Finnish Electrical Equip-
ment Inspectorate.
2. Control
The electric heater is equipped with a 5 m long control cable
that has a quick connector for connection to the GOLD unit.
An extension cable is available as an accessory.
3. Power supply
Connect the heater directly to the power supply (across
a safety switch, if required) in accordance with the tables
and illustrations below.
Brown = 24 V~(G)
White-brown = 24 V~(G0)
Orange = Control signal Y (0-10 V)
White-blue = Control signal M (0 V)
Blue = Overheating
White-orange = Overheating
Green = Type of heater (resistance)
White-green = Type of heater

