movement. Energy for this self winding mechanical movement is generated
by an oscillating weight activated by the movements of your wrist.
Ever since the Huguenots found refuge in Geneva and incorporated into a watch
guild in 1601, Switzerland has been know for its quality time pieces. is movement
has been assembled, adorned and adjusted by master watch-makers in Switzerland,
the birthplace of luxury watches.
e care, history and skill employed by these master watchmakers in assembling the
movement of your watch are a guarantee of its reliability, and accuracy provided you
follow the guidelines for correct care and maintenance.

e Diplomatic is fitted with Hour, Minute, Sweeping Second, Quick Change Day
& Date. Its screw-crown has four operating positions:
1 NORMAL POSITION (all the way, screwed in):
is is the screwed down and secure position that the Diplomatic should be
in at all times it is being worn.
2 MANUAL WINDING POSITION (unscrewed to the 2nd position):
is is the unscrewed position where you can wind your movement to power it up.
Wind completely and the Diplomatic can keep accurate time for up to 38hrs.
3 DATE SET POSITION (pulled out to the 3rd position):
is is the position where you can set the date. Turn the crown away from
you for date.
4 TIME SET POSITION (pulled out further to the 4th position):
is is the position that stops the second hand and where you can set the
time down to the nearest minute.
WINDING MECHANISM

Nixon guarantees the water-resistance of your Diplomatic watch
to a rating of 200 METERS.
Before contacting any water it is critical that your crown is screwed
in completely to ensure complete protection.
Please know that the water resistancy is attained using a series of seals which will
deteriorate under normal conditions and reduce the water resistancy of your watch.
ese seals should be checked by Nixon or a certified watch repair shop at least once
every two years to ensure the rated water resistancy.
Avoid wearing your Diplomatic in hot tubs or saunas.
WATER RESISTANCY

e Diplomatic is fitted with a custom stainless steel band with a modular link
system and Sport Fit extension clasp. e Sport Fit extension clasp enables up to
10mm of on-the-fly, quick-access, tool-free band adjustment, and has a double
locking clasp closure for extra security. In addition to the adjustment possible with
the Sport Fit extension clasp, you can also add or remove links to get the sizing just
right for your wrist.
To ensure proper technique please take you watch to a certified watch repair shop
to adjust the number of links in your band.
BRACELET ADJUSTMENTS

If you need any service to your watch we strongly recommend that you send it back
to Nixon or find an authorized jeweler that can help you with your maintenance.
e individual serial number that is on the back of your watch is your proof of
authenticity. Keep this number in a safe place and track all maintenance in the
back of this book.
MOVEMENT SERVICE We recommend that you get the movement of your
watch checked by a certified watch repair shop every 5 years to ensure it is working
properly and keeping time.
SEAL SERVICE We recommend that you get the seals of your watch
checked by a certified watch repair shop every 2 years to ensure it’s water
resistance is maintained.
TEMPERATURE Do not expose your watch to extreme temperature.
( Over 60°C/140°F or Under -10°C/14°F )
ANTI SHOCK Although the Diplomatic has an Incabloc anti-shock system in
the movement it is best to avoid large shocks.
CLEANING Rinse watch with soap and water after exposure to salt water or
sand and dry with a soft cloth.

and workmanship. If our technical services determine that the defective part or
problem is a result of manufacturing, your watch will be repaired free of charge.
After the first two years from the date of purchase, the labor cost of any repair
or replacement will be charged to you whether or not the part is covered by the
warranty. To benefit from this limited warranty, you must present the certificate
at the back of this book signed and dated by the store where you purchased the
watch and proof that all maintenance has been kept up. is can be tracked in the
back of this book as well and you need to receive a stamp, date, and signature of all
technicians that service your watch.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
Damage resulting from impact, accidents, mishandling, or abuse (dents, crushing,
knocks or impacts).
Loss of water resistance after 24 months without proper and documented
maintenance.

La Diplomatic est équipée du mouvement suisse ETA calibre 2824-2 ou SW200. Les
mouvements de votre poignet activent une masse oscillante qui génère de l’énergie
pour ce mouvement mécanique à remontage automatique.
Depuis le jour où les Huguenots ont trouvé refuge à Genève et rejoint la confrérie des
horlogers en 1601, la Suisse est connue pour la qualité de ses montres. Ce mouvement
a été assemblé, orné et ajusté par les maîtres-horlogers en Suisse, berceau des montres
de luxe.
Le passé, l’attention et les compétences apportées par ces maîtres-horlogers dans
l’assemblage du mouvement de votre montre est la garantie de sa fiabilité et de son
exactitude, à condition que vous respectiez les conseils d’entretien et de soin.

La Diplomatic affiche les heures, les minutes et est équipée d’une trotteuse, ainsi que
du changement rapide du jour et de la date. Son remontoir vissé peut se régler en
quatre positions:
1 POSITION NORMALE (entièrement vissé):
Le remontoir devrait toujours être en position serrée et sécurisée lorsque vous
portez la Diplomatic.
2 POSITION DE REMONTAGE MANUEL (dévissé, en position 2):
Position dévissée qui vous permet de remonter votre mouvement pour le remettre
en marche. Remontez-le jusqu’au maximum et votre Diplomaticrestera à l’heure
précise pendant 38 heures.
3 POSITION DE RÉGLAGE DE LA DATE (tiré, en position 3):
C’est l’endroit où vous pouvez définir la date. Tournez la couronne loin de vous
pour ce jour.
4 POSITION DE RÉGLAGE DE L’HEURE ((tiré au maximum, en position 4):
Cette position arrête la grande aiguille et vous permet de régler la montre à la
minute près.
MÉCANISME DE REMONTAGE

Nixon garantit l’étanchéité de votre montre Diplomatic jusqu’à 200 MÈTRES.
Avant d’être en contact avec l’eau, le remontoir doit être vissé à fond afin d’en assurer
la protection totale.
Veuillez noter que l’étanchéité est obtenue grâce à une série de joints qui s’usent en
conditions normales et réduisent l’étanchéité de votre montre. Ces joints doivent être
vérifiés par Nixon ou par un réparateur agréé au moins une fois tous les deux ans afin
de s’assurer de leur étanchéité.
Évitez de porter votre Diplomatic dans le bain ou au sauna.
ÉTANCHÉITÉ

La Diplomatic est munie d’un bracelet personnalisable en acier inoxydable avec un
système de lien modulable et un fermoir extensible style sportif. Le fermoir extensible
sport permet d’ajuster le bracelet rapidement, facilement et sans outil, jusqu’à 10 mm.
Une double fermeture fournit un surcroît de sécurité. En plus de l’ajustement possible
grâce au fermoir extensible sport, vous pouvez également ajouter ou retirer des liens
pour ajuster avec précision le bracelet à votre poignet.
Pour effectuer au mieux cette manipulation, il est préférable d’amener votre montre
chez un réparateur agréé pour choisir le nombre de liens adapté.
AJUSTER LE BRACELET

Pour tout(e) entretien ou réparation de votre montre, nous vous recommandons de
la renvoyer à Nixon ou de la porter chez un bijoutier agréé qui pourra vous aider.
Le numéro de série unique au dos de votre montre est la preuve de son authenticité.
Veuillez conserver ce numéro dans un endroit sûr et noter toutes les fois que votre
montre a été entretenue au dos de ce mode d’emploi.
SERVICE D’ENTRETIEN DUMOUVEMENT Nous vous conseillons de faire
vérifier le mouvement de votre montre par un horloger agréé tous les 5 ans pour
vous assurer que votre montre reste à l’heure et fonctionne correctement.
ENTRETIEN DES JOINTS Nous vous conseillons de faire vérifier les joints de
votre montre par un horloger agréé tous les 2 ans pour vous assurer de l’étanchéité
de votre montre.
TEMPÉRATURE N’exposez pas votre montre à des températures extrêmes
(supérieures à 60°C ou inférieures à -10°C).
SYSTÈME ANTICHOC Même si la Diplomatic dispose d’un système antichoc
Incabloc dans son mouvement, mieux vaut éviter les chocs importants.
NETTOYAGE Rincez la montre avec du savon et de l’eau claire si elle a été en
contact avec de l’eau de mer ou du sable, et séchez-la à l’aide d’un chiffon.

la garantie ou non. Pour bénéficier de cette garantie limitée, vous devez présenter
le certificat figurant au dos de ce manuel, signé et daté par le magasin où vous
avez acheté votre montre. Vous devrez également prouver que l’entretien a été
correctement effectué. Pour cela, notez toutes les opérations de maintenance au dos

o SW200, ambas de fabricación suiza. La energía precisa para dar cuerda a este reloj
de movimiento mecánico automático es generada por un peso oscilante activado por
