the right order of mower’s setting before work
For proper operatio of the KDC300 disc mower the correct way of setti g the machi e
to work a d duri g its operatio was determi ed. It guara tees the correct operatio of the
mower while mai tai i g high life-expecta cy of i dividual compo e ts, i cludi g: the
hydraulic cyli der, mai gearbox or the frame.
Correct order of work setting:
1. Raise the mower with the tractor arms while
the hydraulic cylinder is in retracted position.
2. Lower the machine using the hydraulic
cylinder only.
3. Fine-adjust the machine to the given height
using tractor arms.

The Instructi n Manual c nstitutes an inherent part f the machine!
Keep the I structio Ma ual i a safe place, where it should be accessible to the machi e
operator duri g a e tire lifespa of the machi e.
I the eve t of its loss or damage, the user must acquire a ew copy from the machi e dealer
or ma ufacturer.
I the eve t the machi e is sold or made available to a other user, the I structio Ma ual
must be attached with the declaratio of co formity for the machi e.
The ma ufacturer reserves its copyrights to the I structio Ma ual.
Make sure the first time you cha ge oil i the tra smissio a d bar is after
the first 50 h urs f operatio of the mower.
After that, cha ge oil every 500 h urs of operatio .
Each time you fi ish work, wash the cutter bar th r ughly with water
under pressure so as to preve t the ext start of the bar from bei g
blocked by dry mass stuck to it.
The machi e features a appropriately selected articulated telesc pic PTO
shaft. Usi g a differe t shaft will void the warra ty, pose a threat to both
the machi e a d the area, a d ca damage the mower.

prohibited. TALEX guara tees efficie t operatio of the machi e whe used i accorda ce with
the tech ical a d operati g co ditio s described i the INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
All faults revealed duri g the warra ty period will be repaired by the I -Warra ty Repairs
Service.
Expiratio date of the warra ty period is specified i the WARRANTY CARD.
Machi e parts a d compo e ts which are subject to wear i ormal operati g co ditio s are
ot covered by the warra ty, regardless of the warra ty period.
I -Warra ty services are provided o ly i such cases as mecha ical damage ot resulti g from
user's fault, ma ufacturi g defects of parts, etc.
This group i cludes, amo g others, the followi g parts/compo e ts:
•cutti g blades
•protective skirts
•beari gs
If a y damage results from:
•mecha ical damage caused by the user's fault or road accide t,
improper use, adjustme t or mai te a ce, or the use of the machi e co trary to its
i te ded purpose,
•operati g a damaged machi e,
•repairs co ducted by u authorised perso s or improper repairs,
•u authorised cha ges to the machi e structure,
the user may i validate its rights to the I -Warra ty Services.
The user must report all defects i pai t coati gs or sig s of corrosio oticed without a y
delay a d have the defects removed regardless of whether the damage is covered by the
warra ty or ot. Special warra ty terms a d co ditio s are laid out i the WARRANTY CARD
attached to the ewly purchased machi e.

Request the dealer to properly fill i the WARRANTY CARD a d Complai t forms. If,
for i sta ce, the sale date or a dealer stamp is missi g, your complai t is at risk of ot
bei g co sidered valid.

precautio ary measures to be take to mi imize or avoid risks.

2. Machine identification
Each mower is equipped with a sticker, which co tai s the most importa t ide tificatio data.
The sticker is located o the machi e i a easy-to-fi d a d read place. The data o the sticker
co firms the machi e's complia ce with the applicable safety regulatio s. For this reaso , the
sticker ca ot be reused or removed.

3. Rules of safe operation
3.1 User safety
The disc mower ca o ly be used by adults, who have lear t how to operate it a d have read
this I structio Ma ual, as well as have appropriate qualificatio s. Mowers should be ha dled
with all safety precautio s, a d i particular:
•Apart from this I structio Ma ual, observe also ge eral rules of health a d safety at
work.
•Observe war i g symbols placed o the machi e.
•It is strictly forbidde , to operate the machi e by perso s u der the i flue ce of alcohol
or other i toxica ts.
•Never allow, that the vehicle servici g the mower should be drive by a perso other
tha the mower operator, a d u der o circumsta ces allow a y other perso s to be o
the vehicle, or o the machi e, duri g its operatio .
•The mower may be operated by a perso who holds a proper drivi g lice ce for the
vehicle equipped with the mower, i accorda ce with the ma ufacturer's i structio s.
•The operator’s work statio while worki g with the mower is the cab of the vehicle
equipped with the machi e.
•Please ote, that there are ma y parts of the mower that may cause a i jury (sharp
edges, protrudi g parts, etc.). Duri g the use of the equipme t, exercise particular
cautio whe movi g close to the above-me tio ed critical spots, a d obligatorily use
the followi g perso al protectio equipme t:
- protective clothi g,
- protective gloves,
- protective footwear
•It is forbidde to carry perso s or objects o the machi e.
•Perso s who have ot read the I structio Ma ual are ot allowed to operate the
machi e.
•The mower operator must be provided with the first aid kit complete with i structio s
of use.
•Whe drivi g a vehicle with the mou ted, but ot worki g, mower, e sure the safe
tra sport height of ~ 0,5m above the grou d.
•Before drivi g, switch the mower to the tra sport setti g a d use the fro t three-poi t
hitch to raise it. For parki g, the machi e must be lowered.
•For tra sport, the mower must be set to the tra sport positio a d raised by mea s of
the tractor's three-poi t hitch.
•Take special care whe drivi g o public roads, a d comply with the applicable road
traffic regulatio s.

•Whe drivi g o public roads, obligatorily use the electric marker lamps lighti g of the
vehicle, with prior check for its fu ctio ality, visibility a d clea li ess. A tria gular plate
which i dicate low-speed vehicles must be affixed to the equipme t. Make sure the
retroreflectors a d war i g sig s o the structural compo e ts of the machi e are
clea a d visible. Tur o the lamps a d war i g lighti g.
•Adjust the tra sport speed accordi g to the road surface co ditio s, without exceedi g
15 km/h.
•Do ot leave the vehicle with the mower o a hillside or o a other slopi g surface,
without securi g the vehicle from rolli g dow . The mower should be lowered to the
grou d. Put wedges u der the wheels of the vehicle.
•The mower must be adjusted to worki g height, duri g its attachme t to the vehicle.
The positio adjustme t of the equipme t duri g its operatio is possible from the
vehicle cab without the eed to leave the cab by the operator.
•A y preparatio s, fitti g, disma tli g or adjustme t ca be performed o ly after the
drive has bee switched off, the e gi e stopped, the vehicle immobilized a d whe all
the movi g parts of the machi e have stopped.
•After the first hour of operatio , check all disjoi t co ectio s like bolt co ectio s.
•The mower should be kept o a flat, level, paved surface, out of the reach of bysta ders
a d a imals. For stabilizi g the mower use the support foot.
•Duri g the assembly a d disassembly of the mower be careful, pay special atte tio to
the structural eleme ts respo sible for mou ti g to the vehicle.
•Before usi g the mower check its co ditio , as well as the vehicle it is attached to.
E sure the vehicle a d mower are i good tech ical co ditio . A y wor or damaged
parts must be replaced immediately.
•The mower must be equipped with all the safety guards (provided by the ma ufacturer),
preve ti g access to a y movi g parts. The guards must be complete a d fully
operatio al.
•Before you begi worki g with the mower, lear how to operate it by readi g this
I structio Ma ual taki g i to accou t operatio safety rules a d guideli es for
mai te a ce a d adjustme t.
•Weight of the mower suspe ded o a vehicle ca affect the vehicle’s ma oeuvrability.

•The I structio Ma ual must be kept with the machi e. If you loa the machi e for use,
e sure that it is i good tech ical co ditio , a d that it is complete with the I structio
Ma ual.
•No additio al mea s of tra sport is allowed to be attached to the mower.
•Duri g the start-up, check the machi e for fu ctio ality a d make i itial adjustme t
without load.

•Secure the hitch assembly (three-poi t hitch) of the mower o ly by mea s of typical
cotter pi s. Do ot use other securi g methods.
•Follow the procedure laid out i Chapter 6 to carry out i spectio s of the co ditio a d
complete ess of the machi e cutti g tools with regard to their atural wear. Operatio
a d mai te a ce
•After mower receipt a d tra sport, make sure that the machi e is ot damaged a d
check its tech ical co ditio .
•Sta di g u der the raised mower is ot allowed to preve t bei g crushed by the
compo e ts of the machi e.
•Whe adjusti g, keep your fi gers a d limbs away from the structural parts of the
machi e.
•Leavi g the tractor cab whe its e gi e is ru i g a d before all the rotati g parts have
stopped is ot allowed.
•The operator of the vehicle coupled with the mower must e sure that o perso can
appr ach the machine during its perati n within the distance f 50m fr m the
running mower.
•Before switchi g o the mower’s drive, lower the cutti g u it to its service positio .
•Mowi g may be started o ly after the PTO reaches its omi al speed of 1,000 rpm. Do
ot overload the PTO shaft or the mower, a d e gage the clutch ge tly.
•E sure suitable visibility whe u-tur i g, reversi g or ma oeuvri g the machi e, or
e sure assista ce from a properly trai ed perso .
•M wing during reversing the vehicle is n t all wed. Whe reversi g, the machi e must
be raised.
•Whe co ecti g the hydraulic li es, make sure that the hydraulic system is ot u der
pressure.
•The machi e may o ly be co ected to the tractor by mea s of a telescopic PTO shaft
selected by the ma ufacturer.
•It is forbidde to sta d betwee the vehicle a d the mower, while the vehicle’s e gi e is
ru i g.
•Worki g o slopes exceedi g 8% is ot allowed.

be adjusted accordi g to the type of work bei g do e.
