15.1. If an outside antenna is connected to the television set, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide some
protection against voltage surges and built up static charges, Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, NFPA No.
70-1975, provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the
lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge unit, connection
to grounding electrode, and requirements for the grounding electrode.
15.2. Note to CATV system installer : (Only for the television set with CATV reception)
This reminder is provided to call the CATV system attention to Article 820-40 of the NEC that provides

Test Alignment Specification for MT62S-LA.doc (Page 3 of 16)
MT62S-LA chassis is a LA LCD platform with ISDB-T, the main chip is from Mediatek (MTK5362
series) and supports below inputs:
xOne cable analog RF input (PAL-M /N, NTSC-M)
xOne antenna analog and digital mixed RF input (PAL-M /N, NTSC-M, ISDB-T)
xOne AV input
xOne CMP input (up to 1080P)
xOne PC input
xFive HDMI inputs (up to 1080P)
xOne USB input
xOne SPDIF output (optical)
xOne AV output
More relevant details are listed in the Spec.
INFO:
ªAll tests and measurements mentioned hereafter have to be carried out at a normal mains voltage
(100 ~ 240 VAC).
ªAll voltages have to be measured with respect to ground, unless otherwise stated.
ªAll final tests have to be done on a complete set including LCD panel in a room with temperature of
25+/-7°C.
ªThe White Balance (color temperature) has to be performed into subdued lighted room after at
least 1 hour of warm-up/burn-in. This is applicable for both Alignment and Picture Performance
evaluation at OQA in order to be set free of any temperature drift (colorimetry vs. time).

PC input and HDMI have their own separate bin files:
Check whether the correct EDID is downloaded by corresponding file checksum or read them
out bit by bit to check if it is in line with the released EDID bin file.
1.6. HDCP Test
For HDCP compliancy, it’s needed to check whether the HDCP key has been well set.

2.3. White Balance Alignment
Only HDMI input requires color temperature adjustment, all other inputs are relative to it. Both
Warm and Cool Color Coordinate are relative to Normal Color Temperature mode. See Appendix
p
“CVBS/RGB/CMP/VGA Relative Matrix Offset and WARM/COOL Relative Matrix Offset”. Those
offsets values don’t require any alignment but can be fine-tuned in Factory Menu as well.
Note: Every lot the relative offset is different. We need to align 5 sets first to get the relative
offset data every lot.
White balance alignment should be carried out using a contact less analyzer (e.g. Minolta
CA-210). The probe may not touch the screen surface and should be keep perpendicular to the
screen surface at an angle of 90+/-2°. Measurement must be performed in a dark environment.
Three kinds of color temperature: Normal, cool and warm, should be adjusted separately.
