GETTING STARTED
Power supplyfortheunit
1.Makeall of theconnectionsfortheunitasshownin “CONNECTIONS”.
2.Insert2AAA batteries(supplied)intothebatterycompartmentintheremotecontrol, takingcareto
followthecorrectpolarities.
3. ConnectthepowercordtoanACmainsoutlet. Setthe POWER switchto ON toturnontheunit.
4. Turnon theTVand set tothecorrectvideo-insource.
5. Togotostandbymode,press the STANDBY button.Iftheunitisnottobeusedforalong time,
pleasedisconnect thepowercord.
Note:
Theremotecontrol’soperatingrangeisabout5meters.
Replacethebatterieswhentheremotecontrolrange startstoreduce.
Iftheremotecontrolisnottobeused foralongtime,removethebatteriestoavoid damage caused
bybatteryleakage.
Precautionswhenusingbatteries
1. Useonlythesizeandtypeof batteriesspecified.
2. Ensurethatyoufollowthecorrect polaritiesmarked inthebatterycompartmentwhen installingthe
batteries.Reversedbatteriesmaydamagetheremotecontrol.
3. Exhaustedbatteriesmustberemovedtopreventpossiblebatteryleakage.
4. Disposeofbatteriesproperlyaccording toenvironmental regulations.

1.InstandbyorDVDnodisc mode,press the CLOCK/TIMER
button repeatedlyontheremotecontroltoselecttheclock

Timer onfunction
1.Thetimerfunction isenabled aftersettingthetimer,refertoprevioussection.Thecorresponding
timericonisdisplayed.
2. Whenthepreset timeelapses,theunitwillautomaticallyturnon atlastvolumelevelandsource.
3.Todisablethetimerfunction, gotostandbymodeandpress repeatedlythe CLOCK/TIMER button
toselectthetimer

That timericonwill disappear.
Note: Makesurethelastsource(iPhone/iPod, disc orUSBdevice)isavailableandthevolumeisset at

Sleep function
1. InDVDnodisc mode,thesleepfunction isenabled aftersetting,refertoprevioussection “Set Clock,
TimerandSleep”. isdisplayed.
2. At theendof thesettime, theunitturnsoff automatically.
3.Tocancel thesleepfunction beforetheendofthepresettime,press the STANDBY buttonto
turnoff theunitimmediately.
Source selection
Press the SOURCE button repeatedly on theunit orpress thecorrespondingsourcebutton(DVD/CD,
FM, iPod, AUX,USB)on theremotecontrol toselectasource.

Depending on thedisc,you can replaceorlockoutviolent
scenes,orlockoutplaybackofthedisc altogether.Youcan
enterthepasswordtochangetheparentalcontrol level.
PASSWORD -You canchangethepasswordtopreventchildren fromaccessingtheParental Control
settings. Input thedefault password “138900”, then thenewpasswordand re-enterthenewpassword.
Press ENTER toconfirmthenewpassword.

PLAYING DVD/CD /VCD DISCS
1. (Open/ Close)
•Press toopen/closethe disc tray.
Note: Loadthe disc withtheprintedsideup.

•Press tostartplayback.
3. IIPAUSE
Press thisbutton topauseplayback.Press it againtoresumeplayback.
4.SLOW
Press thebutton tostartslowmotionplayforwardandbackwardinthefollowingsequence:1/2,1/4,
1/8, 1/16. Press the PLAY/ ENTER buttontoresumenormal playback.
Note: Slowmotionisnotavailable forCDs.
5. /(fastforward/back)
Press the / buttonstoperformafastforwardorbackwardsearch.Press the PLAY/ENTER
button toresumenormalplayback.Eachtimethesebuttonsarepressed,theplayback speedwill be
adjustedinthefollowing sequence:x2,x4,x8,x16,x32. Pressthe PLAY/ ENTER buttontoresume
normal playback.
6. /(Skip Forward/Back)
Whenadisc isplaying,youcan skipbackward/forwardtothenext/previoustrackorchapter.
•Press the button toskiptothebeginningofthepreviouschapterortrack.
•Press the button toskiptothebeginningofthenextchapterortrack.
ForaudioCD discs, usethenumberbuttonstoenterthenumberofthetrackyouwanttolistento.
7. ■(Stop)
•Press ■oncetostop thecurrentplaybackinstantlyandenterthe “ResumePlay”mode.Press
PLAY/ ENTER toresumeplaybackfromthepoint wherethedisc wasstopped.
•Press ■twicetostop playbackcompletely.It will then beimpossibletoresumeplaybackfromthe
placewhereplaybackwasstopped.Press PLAY/ ENTER againtostartplaybackfromthebeginning
ofthedisc.
8. MENU
•Press todisplaythedisc menu.
Note:
Thisbuttonhasno function during playback ofanaudio CDorVCD.
9. TITLE
•Press todisplaytheDVDtitlemenu (theavailabilityofthisfunction dependson thedisc).
10.ZOOM
The picturesizecanbemagnifiedorreduceduringplayback.
•Whenadisc isplaying,press the ZOOM button.Eachtimethe ZOOM button ispressed,theZOOM
settingswillbechanged asfollows:
2X-->3X-->4X-->1/2-->1/3-->1/4-->normal
•While an imageismagnified,usethe ▲, ▼, ◄and ►keystopantheimageforviewing.
11. ANGLE
ANGLE(changetheviewingangleonaDVD)
Differentviewing anglescanbeselected whenplaying aDVDvideo disc thatcontainsscenes
recordedfrommultipleangles.
Press ANGLE repeatedlytoselectdifferentangles.

12. AUDIO(selecttheaudio languagesavailableonthedisc)
During DVDplayback,differentaudiolanguagescanbeselected.
When adisc isplaying,press AUDIO toshowthecurrentaudiolanguage.
Press repeatedlytoselectthedesiredaudiolanguage.
Note:
ForVCD playback,theaudiooutput(Left Mono,RightMono,MixMono,Stereo)can be selected
usingthe AUDIO button.
Therewillbeno soundoutputwhen DTSaudio formatisselectedifaDTSdisc isplaying.
13.SUBTITLE(To selectoneofthesubtitlelanguagesavailableon thedisc)
During playback,you can changethesubtitlelanguageordisablethesubtitlesfunction.
Whileadisc isplaying,press SUBTITLE toshowthecurrent subtitleplayback language.
Press repeatedlytoselectthedesiredsubtitlelanguage.
ADVANCEDPLAYBACK FUNCTIONS
1. DISPLAYfunction
Whilethedisc isplaying,press DISPLAY todisplayplaybackinformation available,dependingon the
disc.
2. GOTO function
Thisfunction allowsyoutoselectanypointonthedisc andtostartplaybackfromthatpoint.Youcan
alsousethisfunctiontoselect theaudiolanguage,angle, subtitleandplayback mode.
Selecting aSpecifictitle/chapter/timeforDVDortrack/timeforCD/VCD
Youcan selectanyspecifictitle/chapter/track/timeandstartplayback fromthispointbydirectly
selectingit.
Press GOTO.
Press ▲or ▼tohighlightthetitle/chapter/track/timefieldandpress ENTER toconfirm.Then
inputthecorrespondingnumberusingthenumberkeys 0-9.
Theunit will then startplaybackfromtheselected position.
3. Programmingplayback
The contentsofthedisc can beplayedinaselected order.
Press the PROGRAM button.
Note: During VCD/SVCD playback, thisfunctionisonlyavailablewhenPBCisOFF.
3.1DVDProgramming
Usethe ◄,►,▲or ▼button to highlight thefield “TT”(title)
or “CH”(chapter)andpressthenumberofthetitle/chapter
youwanttoprogram.
Repeattheabovestepforthenexttitles/chapters.
HighlightSTARTon thescreen and then press ENTER to
playbackasprogrammed.
3.2CD/VCD/SVCDProgramming
Refertotheprevioussection toprogramthetracksof yourchoice.
3.3ClearthePrograms
Highlighttheprogramandpress the CLEAR buttontodeletethecontentsoftheprogramoneby
one.
Note:
During programmedplayback,press PROGRAM todisplaythe programmenu. “STOP”will be
highlighted.Press the ENTER buttontodeleteall programs. “EXIT”will then behighlighted.Pressthe

A-B repeatplaybackallowsaspecificsection toberepeated(fromAtoB).
Whilethedisc isplaying,press the A-B button tosetpoint A.
Then press the A-B button againtosetpoint B.
Theunit will then immediatelybeginreplayingtheselection (AtoB) repeatedly.
Press the A-B button againtocleartheprogrammedrepeatplaybackandreturntonormal playback.
Note:
TheA-Brepeat function canonlybe usedwithinthesametitle ortrack. If pointsAandBaredefined
in different titlesortracks, A-Brepeat iscancelled.
5. VCD/SVCD playback control
While aVCD /SVCD isplaying, press theMENUbutton toswitchPBC(PlaybackControl)on oroff.
IfPBCOFF isselected,usethe /buttonsorthenumberkeys(0-9)toselectanoption.
