1. Beforeservicing, unplug thepowercord topreventanelectricshock.
2. Whenreplacing parts, use onlymanufacturer’srecommendedcomponents for
safety.
3. Check thecondition ofthepowercord. Replace ifwearor damageisevident.
4. Afterservicing, besuretorestoretheleaddress, insulation barriers, insulation
papers, shields, etc.
5. Beforereturning theservicedequipmenttothecustomer, besuretomake the
following insulation resistance test topreventthecustomerfrombeing exposed
toashock hazard.
Insulation Resistance Test
1. Unplug thepowercord and shortthetwoprongsoftheplug withajumperwire.
2. Turn on thepowerswitch.
3. Measuretheresistance valuewithohmmeterbetweenthejumperAC plug and
eachexposedmetal cabinet part, suchas screwheads, control shafts, handle
brackets, etc. Equipmentwithantennaterminalsshouldreadbetween3M and
5.2M toall exposedparts. (Fig. A) Equipmentwithoutantennaterminalsshould
readapproximatelyinfinity toall exposedparts. (Fig. B)
