1. Read instructions - all the safety and operating instructions should be read before
the appliance is operated.
2. These safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
3. Heed warnings - all warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions
should be adhered to.
4. Follow instructions - all operating and use instructions should be followed.
5. Water and moisture - the appliance should not be used near water. For example,
near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a wet
basement.

not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example, the appliance should not

11. Cleaning - the appliance should be cleaned only as recommended by the
manufacturer.
12. Power lines - an outdoor antenna should be located away from power lines.
13. Nonuse periods - the power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the
outlet when the appliance is to be left unused for a long period of time.
14. Object and liquid entry - care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids
are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.
15. Damage requiring service - the appliance should be serviced by service
personnel when :
A. The power-supply cord or plug has been damaged.
B. Objects have fallen into, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance
enclosure.
C. The appliance has been exposed to rain.
D. The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged

POWER SOURCES
Inserting batteries
Insert two size AA / UM-3 batteries (not included) to maintain the clock settings in case
of a power cut.
• Remove the battery cover carefully.
• Place two size AA / UM-3 batteries (not included) into
the battery compartment (16), making sure that the correct
polarity is observed (+ and -).
• Replace the battery cover.
Notes on batteries:
• The batteries in this product can only function to maintain the clock settings. The
batteries do not have power to operate the radio.
• Reversing polarities will damage the batteries and also your product. Be sure to
follow the + and - polarities as indicated.
• Do not mix types of batteries together, or old batteries with new batteries.
• When this product will not be in use for an extended period of time, remove the
batteries to prevent possible acid leakage or corrosion.
• When the batteries have become they must be disposed of in a safe manner
that complies with all applicable laws.
• Batteries should only be installed by an adult (for safety).
ANTENNA SET
FM Antenna - This product comes with a built-in FM Antenna wire. Unwind the FM
Antenna wire and move the free end to locations until you the best
reception.
AM Antenna - This product has an AM antenna built into the unit. Rotate the radio, or
move to another location until you the best reception.

OPERATION / TUNER
Tuning
1. Turn the Power Switch (1) to the ON position.
2. Press the AM/FM Button (5) to set the radio to the AM or FM band.
3. Turn the Tuner Control (2) to tune in a radio station.
4. Turn the Volume Control (3) to the desired level.
OPERATION / TIMER & ALARM
Before setting the timer, make sure the clock is correctly set.
Setting the time
Press and hold the Time-Set button (8). While holding down the Time-Set button, press
the Hour-Set Button (10) and the Minute-Set Button (11) to adjust the time. When the
correct time is displayed, release the Time-Set Button.
Note: You may also press and hold the Hour-Set Button, or Minute-Set Button to rapidly
advance the time setting.
Setting the alarm
Press and hold the Alarm-Set button (7). While holding down the Alarm-Set button,
press the Hour-Set Button (10) and the Minute-Set Button (11) to adjust the alarm-time.
When the correct alarm-time is displayed, release the Alarm-Set Button.
Note: You may also press and hold the Hour-Set Button, or Minute-Set Button to rapidly
advance the alarm-time setting.

Alarm function
1. Press the AL - ON/OFF button to set the alarm to On or O.
2. To wake up to the Buzzer, turn the Volume Control Switch (3) anticlockwise until a
click is heard.
3. To wake up to the Radio, turn the Volume Control Switch (3) to the desired volume.
Note: make sure the radio is set to your desired station.
4. To disable the alarm once it is activated, press the AL - ON/OFF button. If no action
is taken, the alarm will automatically turn o after 3 minutes.
Snooze function
1. Once the alarm has been activated, pressing the Snooze button (13) will silence the
alarm for 5 minutes.
2. The snooze button can be used repeatedly to silence the alarm.
LISTENING WITH HEADPHONES NOT INCLUDED
To listen to the radio on a pair of headphones (not included), simply plug the 3.5mm
headphone plug of your headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack (14) at the rear
of the unit.
Caution: Set the Volume Control (3) to a low level before connecting your headphones.
Gradually adjust the volume to a comfortable listening level. DO NOT play the volume
at high levels for extended periods of time, as this can damage your hearing, and could
cause hearing loss.
SLEEP FUNCTION
1. Turn the Power Switch (1) to the OFF/AUTO position.
2. Press the Sleep button (9) to change the Sleep Timer according to the schedule 90
min > 60 min > 30 min > 10 min > OFF. Once you release the Sleep button at your
desired sleep time, the radio will come on at the set station, and will turn itself o
once the selected sleep time is reached.
3. To cancel the Sleep function, turn the Power Switch to the ON position, and then
back to the OFF/AUTO position. This will turn o the unit and reset the sleep timer
to OFF.

CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL DEVICE
You are able to connect an external device, such as an MP3 Player, Personal CD Player,
Personal Cassette Player, etc. to this Radio.
1. Make sure the Power Switch is set to the OFF/AUTO position.
2. Connect the 3.5mm plug of the connection cable (not supplied) to the
3.5mm Aux In jack (15) at the rear of the unit.
3. Ensure the Volume Switch is set to a low level before turning the Power Switch to the
ON position.
4. Turn the Power Switch to the ON position.
5. Turn on your external device, and begin playback.
6. Adjust the Volume Switch to your desired level.
Notes on External Device:
- Ensure the external device has a sucient power source, as the Aux
In connection on this Radio will not be able to power an external
device.
CARE AND CLEANING
Before Cleaning
When not in use or before cleaning, always disconnect the equipment form
the mains supply.
Cleaning Guide
Regularly clean the outside of the equipment with a soft damp cloth and
dry it with a dry towel. Do not immerse in water. Do not use harsh
solvents to clean the plastic components.
Storage
When not in use, store the unit and these instructions in a dry place.
