contact your dealer.
The TF1000 is a Bathroom Fan Heater with a 60minute boost timer which is designed to heat your room
quickly and efficiently.
The safety and installation instructions must be followed accurately. Failure to do so will void the
product warranty.

The TF1000 is fitted with a filter to protect the heating elements from dust and dirt. The filter is
removeable for easy cleaning and maintenance and can be accessed from either side of the unit. To
keep the unit in perfect condition we recommend that the filter is cleaned at least every six months.

The TF1000 Bathroom Fan Heater is designed to be mounted on the wall in the vertical position. The
Heater has a double insulation electrical circuit (class II) and therefore does not require an earth
connection.
The TF1000 has an IP rating of IPX4 which means it can be used in bathrooms and areas subject to
humidity as long as it is not installed within the perimeter of baths and showers. The heater can be
installed in Zones 2 and 3.
We recommend that the TF1000 Bathroom Heater is installed a minimum of 50cm from the roof and
30cm from the floor and walls.
If you are installing the towel rail with your fan heater this must be fitted before mounting the TF1000
to the wall. Fit the towel rail into the holes underneath the heater. Insert and tighten the four short
screws supplied with the Heater to secure the rail to the unit.
Drill two 6mm diameter holes in the wall 180mm apart where you want the top of the unit to be
positioned. Drill one 6mm diameter hole 364mm below in the
centre of the two top holes. Insert the three wall plugs supplied
with the unit.
Insert the two upper screws, ensuring that you leave a distance
of 8mm sticking out from the wall which will allow the unit to
hang on.
Line up the holes on the back of the unit with the two screws
and hang the unit up. CAUTION before letting go of the unit
ensure that it is secure on the two screws.
Finally, secure base of the unit to the wall with the long screw
provided.
Plug your fan heater into a power point.
The TF1000 Bathroom fan heater has a thermostat and 60minute timer which are controlled by the
knobs on the unit.
There are two different operating modes:

Starting from the anti-freeze position “”, turn the thermostat knob clockwise until you hear a
“click”: the fan heater starts working at 1000W and the indicator LED lights up.
The thermostat maintains the required ambient temperature by automatically turning the heater on
and off. As the knob is turned clockwise the ambient temperature the unit to heat to will increase.
The maximum temperature is approximately 35°C, and the anti-freeze temperature is 5°C.
The TF1000 Fan Heater will not turn on if the room temperature is more than 35°C and in reverse the
heater will continue to heat if the room temperature is below 5°C.
To optimise use of the thermostat, turn the thermostat knob to maximum and wait until a
comfortable temperature is reached; then turn the thermostat knob anti-clockwise until you hear a
“click” and the heater turns off; turn the thermostat knob clockwise just a little; in this position, the
thermostat will maintain the selected ambient temperature.


Adjust the ambient thermostat to the required temperature and then turn the timer knob to select
the required operating time. The product rapidly heats the room using a 1800W boost for the set time
and then reduces power to 1000W to maintain the ambient temperature selected with the
thermostat.
When the heater is working under timer control at 1800W the thermostat doesn't control the room
temperature. In this condition, do not use the heater in small rooms when they are occupied by
persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided by a
person responsible for their safety.
The TF1000 Fan Heater is fitted with a safety device that will automatically disable the heating
element and motor in the event of the unit overheating. If this occurs the unit will stop working
immediately although the indicator LED light stays on.
In the case of the unit overheating:
- Turn off the fan heater and allow it to cool down for about 15/20 minutes.
- Make sure the dust filter is not totally obstructed and clean if necessary. Remember to put it back
again afterwards.
- Eliminate any other possible reasons for overheating (e.g.: obstructions in front of the air
inlet/outlet grilles, build-ups of dirt).
- Turn on the fan heater again and check it works correctly.
- If the product needs servicing, call in a qualified specialised technician.
If you notice irregular operation, damage to the heating element or to the structure of the
appliance, disconnect the product from the mains power supply and contact technical support on
1300 368 631.
