us the model number and the serial number of your unit written on the rating plate of the water

When using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS
All supply circuits must be disconnected before removing cover. Supply this ap-
pliance only from a grounded system. A wire connector marked “ ” is provided
for wiring the appliance. Connect the connector to the grounding terminal of the
electric service or supply panel with a continuous copper wire in accordance Ca-
nadian Electrical Code, Part I.

This product shall be protected by a Class A ground fault circuit interrupter.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowl-
edge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
The maximum inlet water pressure: 1.0 MPa (150 PSI).
The minimum inlet water pressure: 0.1 MPa (15 PSI).
WARNING
Before obtaining access to terminals, all supply circuits must be disconnected.
After service work is complete, proceed as during the first-time appliance start-
up.
The connection diagram or wiring diagram is marked. (Located on inside of Front
Enclosure)

vercle. Alimentez cet appareil uniquement à partir d’un système mis à la terre. Un

Electrical installation
The appliance must be permanently connected to fixed wiring.
The device has been prepared for connection to the electrical supply�
Elex 3�5MHBL and Elex 3�5MEBL require a 110-120V, single-phase supply, other mod-
els require a 208-240V, single-phase supply� Please take reference of the rating plate
on device�
Please take reference of the following diagram to connect power supply with Elex
3�5/4�5/5�5 MHB/MEB which rated 240V�
NOTE: The wire has been attached to the appliance.

Disposal of the appliance
Old appliances must not be disposed of in your household waste!
Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of old appliances separately from their
household waste and to take them, for example, to a collection point in their local com-
munity or local district� Old electrical appliances will be accepted there free of charge�
This ensures that the old appliances are properly recycled and any negative impacts
on the environment are avoided� This is why electrical appliances are marked with the
symbol shown on the left�
Preparing for installation
The water and electricity supply need to be available at the place where the device is
to be supplied�
The installation location for the appliance should keep away from the shower�
Remove the appliance from the wall bracket
Put the wide screwdriver tip into the interlock between the water connections until it
stops, then press slightly upwards ①, tilt the appliance forward by max� 15° ②and
remove it upwards ③�
Locate the installation location of the appliance
Make sure the clearance meet the requirement of following diagram�

Elex Mini Series
Frost
The appliance is not to be installed in locations where freezing can occur.
The device should be installed in a vertical position in a room protected from frost and
in the proximity of the water connections�
In case the room cannot be protected against frost, the device should not be installed in
this room� Should the device be installed in such a room, the device should be emptied
before the frost danger will occur�
Do not switch on if there is a possibility that the water in the device is frozen�
Connection to the water supply
Blue = cold water entry side (for filling)
Red = hot water exit side (hot water demand)
The Elex mini series are designed for use normal pressure systems� This system allows
water to be drawn from multi point use�
The water supply pipe and water discharge pipe are marked on the rating plate cover
(red for hot water, blue for cold water)�
Connection to the electricity supply
Connection of the appliance to the power supply network must take place in accor-
dance with the NEC, IEC and as specified by local laws and regulations�
The appliance must be earthed properly!
The appliance must be connected to a ground fault circuit interrupter.
Make sure the power is switched off before removing the cov-
er of the appliance!
Internal modifications to the product may cause problems if this work is not
carried out by authorized and qualified technical persons. The warranty only
applies if the product has not been modified in any way, i.e. subject to it being in
unchanged condition.

The appliance must be earthed properly!
The filter mat contained in accessory bag must be installed when connecting
with inlet(cold) water pipe or hose!
Ground fault circuit interrupter must be installed with the appliance, please take
page.16 to 18 for the selection of interrupter.
Please verify the voltage of power supply before installation!
Drawing A / B - Installation as under/over -sink model
The device must be installed as shown in the installation drawing on the page�12 to
14 of this manual�
1� Mount the bracket on the wall and fix using two screws in the accessory bag, the
bracket should be upward(undersink) / downward(oversink)�
2� Place the appliance on the wall bracket and snap it into position� The outlets of ap-
pliance should be upward(undersink) / downward(oversink)�
3� Tap connection: Cold water inlet (blue) and hot water outlet (red) are marked on the
rating plate (under the rating plate cover)� Connect the appropriate pipe or hose of
the sanitary tap with the red-marked hot water outlet�
4� Connect power cable L, N and GROUNDING (120V models) to the power supply (4a),
or connect power cable L1, L2 and GROUNDING (240V models) to the power supply
(4b), then switch on the circuit breaker�

4. User Manual
To prevent damage to the appliance, the instantaneous water heater must be
purged of air before using it for the first time.
How to use (Mini Pro Series)
The appliance can detect the undersink/oversink installation automatically, and
make sure the display properly.

Touch Keys
Step 0 Switch on the electric power, open the hot-water tap, and wait for a short
power-up delay (approx� 13 secs)�
Step 1 Keep the hot-water tap opening, touch “ █” to light on the touch keys,
then touch “ █” again to turn on the appliance� The LED will display cur-
rent outlet temperature setting for 2 secs then switch to display the real
time outlet temperature�
Step 2 Keep the hot-water tap opening, set desired outlet temperature, touch “”
to decrease the outlet temperature or touch “” to increase the outlet
temperature� The LED will keep displaying the setting temperature for 2
secs, then switch to display the real time outlet temperature� If needed,
adjust the water flow rate ( see next page)�
Step 3 Close the hot-water tap, the LED will light off immediately, the touch key
“█”, “” and “” will light off after 3 secs delay�
Note:
1� Step 0 is only valid after every-time switch off the electric power�
2� After completing Step 3, opening the hot-water tap again will wake up the appli-
ance automatically and the LED will display the real time outlet temperature�
How to use (Mini Basic Series)
Simply connect the power supply and inlet/outlet, open the tap for about 15 secs
before switching on power supply, then switching on power supply, the water
heater will start working.

How to adjust the maximum water flow rate
May only be carried out by a specialist.

Step 1 Push the cover at the corrugation towards the wall bracket�
Step 2 Press the cover down at the rear corners until the front edge lifts�
Step 3 Remove the cover by pulling forward�
Step 4 Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to decrease the maximum flow rate,
turn the adjusting screw counter-clockwise to increase the maximum
flow rate�
If the selected outflow temperature is not reached when the tap is fully opened, then
the water flow through the device exceeds the capacity of the device� In this case, the
flow should be reduced with the hot water valve� There is a danger of scalding at out-
flow temperatures exceeding 43°C (109°F)�
