Frequently Asked Questions
A: How can I change the PIN code?

Q: he PIN code ‘0000’ is preset in the factory before delivery, it can not be
changed by users.
A: I lost one handset or the handset is damaged, so I bought an additional
handset to use with the base, I tried many times but still failed to register the
handset on the base, why is that?
Q: one Butler 4850 base can have 4 handsets registered on it at maximum, if
your Butler 4850 base already has 4 handsets registered, you can not register
the additional handsets on it any more. You have to remove one unused
handset from the base before you register a new handset.
A: How can I remove all handsets from a base?
Q: You need to enter ES MODE menu to remove all handsets registered as
follows:
Make sure the Butler 4850 handset and Butler 4850 base are linked to each
other - insert batteries into the handset and immediately press and hold
‘IN ’ key till ‘ ES MODE 1—8’ displays, then release ‘IN ’ key - press ‘8’ key,
‘HANDSE 1’ displays - press RIGH key till ‘CLEAR SUB’ appears, press OK
key, now all handsets are removed from the base.
