Introduction
This instruction manual contains information on how to operate your dashcam.
Before using your dashcam, we recommend that you read through this manual to ensure correct usage.
To improve the performance of the product, the contents of this manual are subject to change without prior notice.

Important safety information
For user safety and to avoid property damage, read through this manual and follow these safety instructions to use the
product correctly.
Failure to observe the following directions could result in death or property damage:
DANGER
yDo not disassemble, repair, or modify the product yourself.
Doing so may cause re, electric shock, or malfunction. For internal inspection and repair, contact the service center.
yIf any foreign matter gets inside the product, detach the power cord immediately.
Contact the service center for repair.
yDo not adjust the product while driving.
Doing so may cause an accident. Stop or park your car in a safe place before installing and setting up the product.
yDo not install the product in a location where the product can interfere with the driver's eld of vision.
Doing so may cause an accident.
yDo not use a damaged or modied power cord. Only use the cords provided by the manufacturer.
Damaged or modied power cords may cause an explosion, re, or malfunction.
yDo not operate the product with wet hands.
Doing so may cause electric shock.
yDo not install the product in an environment with high humidity, or combustible gases or liquids.
Doing so may cause an explosion and/or re.

Failure to observe the following directions could result in death or serious injury:

yDo not leave the product near infants, children, or pets.
There is a risk of them swallowing small components, and/or their saliva may get into the product, causing an
explosion due to a short circuit.
yDo not spray water or wax directly onto the product while cleaning the inside of the car.
Doing so may cause re, electric shock, or malfunction.
yIf smoke or an unusual smell is emitted from the power cord, detach the power cord immediately.
Contact the service center or your distributor.
yKeep the terminals of the power cord clean.
Failure to do so may cause excessive heat and re.
yUse the correct input voltage.
Failure to do so may cause explosion, re, or malfunction.
yPlug in the power cord rmly so that it cannot easily be disconnected.
Failure to do so may cause re.
yDo not cover the product with any material.
Doing so may cause external deformation of the product or re. Use the product and peripherals in a well-ventilated
location.

Failure to observe the following directions could result in injury or property damage:
CAUTION
yDo not spray cleaning products directly onto the product.
Doing so may cause discoloration, cracks, or malfunction.
yIf the product is used outside the optimal temperature range, performance can decline or malfunctions may occur.
yMake sure that the product is installed properly.
If installed incorrectly, vibrations may cause the product to fall, and may cause physical injury.
yWhen entering or exiting a tunnel, when directly facing into bright sunlight, or when recording at night without
lighting the quality of recorded video may deteriorate.
yIf the product is damaged or the power supply is cut due to an accident, video may not be recorded.
yExcessively tinted windshield glass can distort the recorded video or cause recorded video to be indistinct.
yProlonged use of the product can increase the interior temperature and cause burns.
ymicroSD cards are consumables, so replace microSD cards after prolonged use.
microSD cards may not record video correctly after extended use, so check the microSD card's recording capability
periodically and replace as necessary.
yClean the lens regularly.
Foreign material attached to the lens can aect the recording quality.
yDo not remove the microSD card while the microSD card is saving or reading data.
The data can be damaged or malfunctions may occur.
yIt is recommended that you remove the power cord if the product is not used for an extended period of time.

Dashcam Operation
Inserting the microSD card
The dashcam will not function without a microSD card. If a microSD card is not inserted, the dashcam will not record
video. Instead, it will give you a continuous audio/visual warning on vehicle startup until a card is inserted. Follow
instructions below to insert the microSD card.

Squeeze and hold the front and rear End cap release buttons.
2Continue to squeeze both End cap release buttons and pull out the End cap.

3Unplug the “DC in (Power Connector)” and conrm the dashcam is powered o (ALL LEDs o). Insert the microSD
card into the microSD card slot until you hear a click.

Slide the End cap to the hook of Wire channel and attach it to the Mounting bracket.
Note
yDo not insert the microSD card while the dashcam is operating. Otherwise, microSD card may get damaged.
yThe dashcam will not work without inserting the recommended microSD card. If no microSD card is inserted or
the wrong type of microSD card is inserted you will hear warning voice prompts and all LEDs will ash together.

Starting dashcam
Turn on the ignition. The dashcam will automatically power on and start loop recording (1 minute video les). When the
dashcam is on and recording, the REC LED (Green) will illuminate continuously.
Note
yWhen you run the dashcam for the rst time the rmware is automatically loaded onto the microSD card. After the
rmware has been loaded onto the microSD card you can customize settings using the APP or Desktop Viewer.
Recording video and audio
When the vehicle ignition is turned on, the dashcam is turned on and enters normal mode. When startup is complete, the
dashcam starts recording video and audio (if microphone is turned on). During normal mode, dashcam continuously loop
records 1 minute video les. The REC LED (green) lights on while recording.
When the ignition is turned o, dashcam switches to surveillance start delay mode. During surveillance start delay mode,
it records 1 minute video les for 3minutes to prevent false event detection caused by opening or closing vehicle doors.
Then, dashcam enters parking mode and stops loop recording. It will remain in a low power state and turn on to start
recording for 1 minute when it detects an unusual shock or vibration.
When the microSD card is full, older videos are deleted and overwritten by new ones, except locked event les.
Locked event les - automatic
When the dashcam detects an unusual shock during normal mode and parking mode, it records an event le that
is protected from being overwritten by newer les. During normal mode and parking quick wake-up mode, it starts
recording 5 seconds before the event and during parking normal wake-up mode, it starts recording 5 seconds after the
event. Event recording progress is indicated by the REC LED that illuminates green during the event recording.

Locked event les - manual
Touch the proximity sensor to manually trigger event recording (if proximity sensor is set to manual recording).
Note
yA maximum of 50 event les can be protected, if the maximum number of les is reached and the "overwrite
locked event les when full" setting is disabled, old protected les must be deleted to add new protected
recordings.
yWhen a manual recording is triggered, it continuously records for 1 minute. While this recording is in progress,
it cannot be cancelled by touching the proximity sensor. To start a subsequent manual recording, it must be
triggered after the initial 1 minute manual recording is complete.
yVoice recording can be turned on/o by touching or waving proximity sensor (if proximity sensor is set to voice
recording on/o) or in the rmware settings.
Playing back recorded les
Use the smartphone APP on your Android or Apple device to view recorded les on the dashcam directly or remove the
microSD card to access it on your Windows or Mac computer with the Desktop Viewer software.

Playing and managing video les using your smartphone (Android/iOS)
Opening video les

Search for the Toyota Series 2.0 Viewer app in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and install it on your
smartphone.
2Add Series 2.0 dashcam to camera list via Bluetooth. If you want to add dashcam to the camera list manually using
credentials, please skip to step 3.
a.Open the Toyota Series 2.0 Viewer app and select Connect to camera.
b.Make sure the smartphone Bluetooth is turned on and press +.

c. Choose your Series 2.0 dashcam from the detected camera list.
d.Put your hand on the camera’s proximity sensor to complete Bluetooth pairing.
e.Customize your camera name and press OK.
f. Series 2.0 dashcam is now added to the camera list.
Note
yBluetooth lets you connect your smartphone to your dashcam within a range of 10m.

a.Click your camera name to connect your camera and smartphone usingWi-Fi.
b.Select the video that you want to play from the video list.
Note
yWi-Fi Direct lets you directly connect your smartphone to your dashcam via Wi-Fi within a range of 10m.
yThe Series 2.0 Viewer app is available for devices running Android 8.0 and higher, or iOS 13.0 and higher.

Playing back videos
Select the video le you want to play from the video list.
Scroll up/down the screen to refresh the video list.
Note
yThe playback of 'Highest (Extreme)' image quality videos depends on your device's hardware and software. Older
devices may not support 'Highest (Extreme)' image quality playback. If you encounter issues please check your
device's video playback capabilities.
Identify video les by recording type
Normal The dashcam records in normal mode by default.
Event
When the dashcam detects an impact while in normal or parking mode, it saves
an event recording. During normal mode and parking quick wake-up mode, it
starts recording 5 seconds before the event and during parking normal wake-
up mode, it starts recording 5 seconds after the event.
Surveillance
delay
In parking surveillance delay mode the dashcam continuously records parking
video for 3 minutes before it goes into parking surveillance mode.
Manual
If proximity sensor is set as a manual recording trigger in the rmware settings,
touching or waving a nger within 20 mm of the sensor will turn on manual
recording.
Note
yTo lter the video les, press . Use the buttons to lter the
video list by recording type (Normal, Event, Surveillance delay and Manual). The lter button displays
both E (Event) and I (Impact event while parked) recordings.
