1.Drivethevehicleoutsideandverifyverypoor,inoperative,ornoXMsatelliteradioreception.
2.Gatherdetailedinformationfromthecustomeronwhenandwheretheproblemoccurs(e.g.,
indoor/outdoor,certainlocationsonly,certainweatherconditions,individualstationsaffected).
3.Checkforaftermarketaccessoriesorotheritemsthatmayaffectreception(e.g.,RearSeat
Entertainment[RSE]system,radardetectors,metallicwindowtint,objectshangingfrom
mirror,tollpasses,itemslayingondash,etc.).Disconnectorremovethecomponentand
recheckreception.
4.Checkallantennaconnections.
A.Confirmsecureantennaconnection(s)atthebackoftheradio/XMtunermodule.
B.ConfirmsecureconnectionsattheXMantenna.
5.ChecktheXMsatelliteradiosignalusingtheAntennaTestKit.
DisconnectthevehicleantennaandconnecttheXMAntennafromtheTestKitattheradio/XM
tunermodule,thendrivethevehicleoutside.UsetheXMConversionCableifnecessary.
