Bestresults areobtained with the engine ata highthrottle setting and
first forward motion speed selected. This allows the flails to cut
cleanlyandtofullymulchthecutmaterial.
If the terrain is very difficult, it is recommended the cutting height is
raised by lowering the roller brackets on the chassis adjusting holes.

It is recommended to engage the wheel speed and mower operating
levers with the engine on a low speed. Once operating the throttle
should then be increased to a high speed. On no account should the
mower be engaged if it is positioned in long uncut grass as this will
overloadthemachineandmaycausedamage.
WARNING: If the clutch lever is pulled up with the drive engaged to
the mower and the engine at high speed the machine will continue to
moveforwardslightlyuntiltheflailcuttingshafthasstoppedrotating.
Detach the flail mower from the power unit and clean the chassis.
Check the cutting edges of the flails which are reversible to give
double life. Replace the flails that are blunt on both sides or are
damaged in any way. Check the condition of the flail retaining bolts
and renew any that are getting worn. Lubricate grease points on flail
shaftbearingseveryday.
Check the oil level in the gearbox by removing the plug on top of the
housing and ensure the level is within 1½” of the hole. If necessary,
