TROUBLESHOOTING
Battery is low and will soon need to be
replaced with an Alkaline battery.
Single LED flashing and meter frozen.
CME4 is in HOLD mode.
Press HOLD button to release.
Both LED’s flashing when unit is powered up.

OPERATION

Press the ON/OFF button.
Lower LED will remain continuously lit.
Press CME4 fully aginst the surface of the
concrete slab or screed. (Surface should be
smooth and free of coatings/contaminants)
Readings are instant and dispayed on analog
dial.
To freeze readings press the HOLD button once.
In HOLD mode the upper LED will flash continu-
ously. If CME4 is shut down in HOLD it will retain
the stored reading when powered up next and
remain in HOLD with the upper light flashing
until the button is pressed again.
Automatic power timeout (10 mins) conserves
battery life.
SCALES

Top Scale - Red - for use with Concrete Slabs
& Sand/Cement screeds.

Middle Scale - Yellow - for use on Gypsum
Floor/Screeds.
•Equivalent reading to Moisture Content
(MC%) or moisture by mass/weight as
per the oven dry/gravimetric method.
Reference readings replicating measure-
ments using concrete scale on concrete &
sand/cement floors/screeds.
Bottom Scale - 0-100 - intended for use with
materials other than concrete & screeds, such
as stone & tiles etc.
This scale is for reference only and is not
to be interpreted as moisture content or
relative humidity.

Annual calibrations are recommended as
best practice to ensure continued accuracy
and reliability. Calibration Check Plates can
be purchased for more regular checks. The
Tramex Calibration Check Plate can be used
to test the CME4 & CMEX2 instruments.
