BEFORE THE FIRST USE
• Toensurethefirstcupofcoffeetastesexcellent,youshouldrinsethe
coffeemakerwithwarmwater.
• Pulloutthetankandpourwaterintoit,thewaterlevelshouldnot
exceedthe“max”markinthetank.Thenreplacethewatertank.
• Placeoneofthefiltersintothefilterholder(withoutcoffee)
• Placeanespressocupontheremovableshelf.Makesurethesteam
controlknobisinthe“off”position.
• Activatetheappliancebypressingdowntheon/offbutton,thepower
indicatorwillilluminate.
• Pressdownthepumpcontrolbutton,thedevicestartspumpingwater,
whenthewaterflowsoutstopthepumpbypressingthepumpcontrol
button(thepurposeofthisstepispumpingwateroutofthewater
tankintothehousing).
• Makesurethecoffee/steambuttonisinthehigherpositionandwait
untiltheheatingindicatorisilluminated,thisindicatesthepreheating
isfinished.Pressingthepumpcontrolbuttontothelowerposition,the
waterwillflowout.
• Afterthisprocessyoucanstartbrewing.
• Note:theremaybesomenoisewhenpumpingthewaterthefirsttime,
thisisnormal,theapplianceisreleasingtheairintheappliance.After
about20secondsthenoisewilldisappear.
PREHEATING
• Tomakeacupofgoodhotespressocoffee,werecommendyouto
preheattheappliancebeforemakingcoffee,includingthefilterholder,
andcup,sothatthecoffeeflavorcan’tbeinfluencedbythecoldparts.
• Forpreheatingpleasefollowthesamestepsasdescribedinthe
paragraph“beforethefirstuse”.
MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE
• Removeafterpreheatingthefilterholderbyturningitclockwise,add
groundcoffeeinthefilterbyusingthesuppliedspoon.Onespoon
groundcoffeecanmakeaboutacupoftopgradecoffee.Pressthe
groundcoffeepowdertightlywiththetamper.
• Placethefilterintothefilterholder,makesurethehandleofthefilter
holderalignswiththegrooveintheappliance,theninsertthefilter
holderintotheapplianceandturnitanticlockwiseuntilit’sinthelock
positionwiththehandlepointingforward.
• Pouroutthehotwaterfromthepreheatingprocessandreplacethe
cupundertheappliance.
• Whentheheatingindicatorilluminatesyoushouldpressdownthe
pumpcontrolbuttontothelowerposition,nowthecoffeewillflowout.
• Note:iftheheatingindicatorisextinguishedpleasepressthepump
controlbuttontostopmakingespresso.Afterafewseconds,whenthe
heatingindicatorilluminatesagainyoucouldresumethepumpprocess.
• Whenyou’veobtainedthedesiredamountofcoffeeorthecolor
changedweak,pleasepresstheon/offbutton,thepowerindicatorwill
extinguishandthecoffeemakerstopsworking,yourcoffeeisreadynow.
• Note:donotleavethecoffeemakerunattendedduringmakingcoffee,
sometimesyouneedtooperatemanually.
• Afterfinishingmakingthecoffee,pleasetakeoutthefilterholder,lock
thefilter,andpouroutthecoffeeresidue.
FROTHING MILK/ MAKE CAPPUCCINO
• Yougetacappuccinowhenyoutopupacupofespressowithfrothing
milk.
• Pressdownthecoffee/steambuttontothelowerpositionwhichisthe
steamposition,waituntiltheheatingindicatorilluminates.

• Note:makesurethesteamcontrolknobisturnedtotheoffposition.
• Iftheheatingindicatorilluminatespressthecoffeesteambuttontothe
higherposition.
• Thenpressthepumpcontrolbuttonandwaituntilthewaterisflowing
out.
• Whenthewaterisflowingoutpressthecoffee/steambuttontothe
lower(steam)positionandstoppumpingwater,waituntiltheheating
indicatorilluminates.
• Fillajugwithabout100ml.ofmilkforeachcappuccinotobe
prepared,werecommendtouseonlywholemilkatrefrigerator
temperature(nothot).Inchoosingthesizeofthejugwerecommend
touseajugwhichvolumeisabout450ml.Withadiameterbetween
65mm.And75mm.Bearinmindthatthemilkincreasesinvolumeby2
times,makesurethecupishighenough.
• Insertthesteamnozzleabouttwocentimeterintothemilk,thenturn
thesteamcontrolknobslowlyanti-clockwise,nowthesteamwillcome
out,movethejugroundandupanddownwhilefrothing.
• Note:neverturnthesteamcontrolknobrapidly.
• Whentherequiredpurposeisreached,youcanturnthesteamcontrol
knobtotheoffpositionandturnoffthecoffeemaker.
• Note:cleanthesteamnozzleimmediatelyafteruse,pleasebeaware
youdonotburnyourself.
• Note:werecommendtoallowthedevicetocooldownatleastfor
5minutesbeforemakingcoffeeagain.Otherwiseburntodormay
occurredinyourespressocoffee.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Unplugthedeviceandletitcooldowncompletelybeforecleaning.
• Cleanthehousingofthedevicewithadampedcloth.Cleanthewater
tank,driptrayandremovableshelfregularlyunderwarmrunning
water.
• Detachthefilterholderbyturningitclockwise,thenpouroutthe
coffeeresidueandcleanitwithacleaner,makesureyourinsetheparts
withclearwateraftercleaning.
• Dryallthepartsaftercleaningthoroughly.
Cleaning mineral deposits
• Tomakesureyourcoffeemakeroperatingefficiently,youshould
removethemineraldepositsleftevery2-3months.
• Fillthetankwithwateranddescaler(water/descalerratio:4:1).
• Simplyfollowthestepsformakingespressoandfrothingmilkand
rinsethedevicewiththewater/descalermixture.
• Makesureyoualwaysrinsethedevicewithclearwaterafterrinseit
withthewater/descalermixture.
GUARANTEE
• Tristarisnotliablefordamagesoccurredthrough:
oIncasetheappliancehasfallen.
oIncasetheappliancehasbeentechnicallychangedbytheowneror
anotherthirdparty.
oIncaseofimproperuseoftheappliance.
