Full-duplex Ethernet is only used in point-to-point links connecting two nodes and the cabling medium
must support two transmission path
Auto-MDIX medium detection and correction: no worry of using straight or crossover cable
Use proper cable:
Type 10BASE-T 100BASE-TX 1000BASE-T
UTP cat. 3 or 5 2-pair UTP cat. 5 4-pair UTP cat. 5 or 5e
Cable or EIA/TIA- 568 100-ohm STP
Tip: temporary disable the firewall when connect two PCs directly by a cable
