Thiscommercialvacuumcleanerhasbeen
designed forthe collection ofdustinindoor
areas. It shouldnotbe used inoutdoorareas.
Werecommend thatanyusernotfamiliarwith
carpetcleaning shouldread theseuser
instructionsfullybeforeusing the machine. Ifyou
haveanyqueriespleasecontact the supplierwho
you purchased the machine fromorTruvox
Internationalon the contactdetailsprovided at
the back.
Thismachine mustonlybe used forthe
manufacturer’sapproved application.Donot
use the machine whereitissuspected thatthe
carpet, floororupholstery containshealth
endangering dustordebrissuchasasbestosor
chemicalwaste.Ifthisissuspected do not
proceed,contactyoursupervisor,supplieror
TruvoxInternationalforadvice.
The following instructionscontainimportant
information aboutthe machine and safetyadvice
forthe operator.
Equipmentmustbe operated,serviced and
maintained inaccordancewiththe
manufacturer’sinstructions.Ifin doubtcontact
thesupplier ofyourmachine.

When using electrical equipmentbasicsafety
precautionsshouldbe followed including the

havebeen given supervision orinstruction
concerning useofthe machine byaperson
responsiblefortheirsafety.
•Keep children and unauthorised personsaway
fromthe machinewhen inuse.
•Children shouldbe supervised toensurethat
theydo not playwiththe appliance.
•Beforeusing the appliance,check thatthe
mainspowervoltage correspondswiththe
voltage shownon the rating plate.
•Allpartsaretobe positioned asindicated inthe
instructionsbeforeusing the machine.
•Do not operatethe machine ifitmalfunctionsor

•Whenunplugging pulltheplug,notthe supply

handle,closeadooron cord,orpullaround
sharpedgesorcorners.
•Keep hair,looseclothing,fingersand allparts
of bodyawayfromopeningsand moving parts.
•Keep cordawayfromheated surfaces.
•Do not usewherehazardousdust ispresent.
•Do not useinan explosiveatmosphere.
•Do not pickup oilorotherflammablematerial.
•Do not usetopickup moistureoranyliquids.
•Do notleavethe machine connected tothe
electricitysupplywhen notinuse,always
removethe plug fromthe socket-outlet.
•Switchoffthe machine beforeremoving the
plug.
•Keep the powersupplycordclearofmoving
parts.During operation hazardmayoccur
whenrunning the machine overthe power
supplycord.
•The powersupplycordmustberegularly
inspected forsignsofdamage.Ifthe power
supplycordisdamaged,itshall onlybe
replaced bythe manufacturer,itsserviceagent
orasimilarqualified person inordertoavoida
hazard.
•Onlyreplacethe supplycordwiththe type
specified intheinstruction manual.
•Do notoperatethe machine withadamaged
supplycordorplug,orafterthe machine
malfunctionsorisdamaged inanyway.
Contactan authorised ServiceAgentforrepair
oradjustment.
•The plug ofthe powersupplycordmustbe
removed fromthe socket-outletbefore
commencing cleaning ofthe machine or
undertaking maintenanceoperations.
•Do not kinkortwist the powercord.
•Takecarewhen using amachine nearthe top
of stairstoavoidoverbalancing.
1.2Guidelines fortheoperator
WARNING
Operatorsmustbe fullytrained inthe
useofthe machine inaccordancewith
theseinstructions,abletoperformuser
maintenanceand the correctselection of
accessories.

•Operatorsshouldbephysicallycapableto
manoeuvre,transportand operatethe
machine.
•Operatorsshouldbe abletorecogniseunusual
operation ofthe machine and reportany
problems.
•Onlyusethe machine onfirmlevelsurfaces.
•Wearsuitablefootweartoavoidslipping.
•Wearsuitableclothingtokeep dryand warm.
•Wherepossibleimplementjob rotation and
adequaterestperiodstoavoidcontinuoususe
of the samemuscles.
•Do not leavemachine running unattended
•Do not smokewhen using the machine.
•Do notputanyobjectsintoopenings.Do not
usewithanyopening blocked:keep free of
dust, debris,hair,oranything thatmayreduce
airflow.
CAUTION -Thismachine isforindoor
dry useonlyandshouldnotbeusedor
stored outdoorsorinwet conditions.
CAUTION -If it issuspected thatthereis
hazardousdustorflammablematerials
stop cleaning thearea immediatelyand
consult yoursuperior.
WARNING Onlyuseaccessoriesand
sparepartsprovided withthe machine or
thoseapproved bythe manufacturer.
The useofotheraccessoriesmayimpair
the safetyofthe machine.
•Ensurethe machine isswitched off before
adding orchanging accessories.
1.3Transportingthemachine
CAUTION –Incorrectlifting techniques
mayresultinpersonalinjury,where
applicabledo notlift large and heavy
machineswithout assistance. Weadvisethat the
manual handling regulationsarefollowed.
Pleaserefertothe technicaltablefordetailson
weight ofmachine.
When transporting the machine ensurethatall
components,tanksand removablepartsare
securelyfastened,and thatthe supplycordand
plug arenot trailing. Detachhoseand wandfrom
machine whereapplicable.
Takeextremecarewhen moving the machine up
ordownstepsorstairs.
2Preparing foruse
2.1Electrical connection
Beforeconnecting the machine tothe power
supply,check thatyoursupplyvoltage
correspondswiththatmarked on the ratinglabel.
The powersupplycordplusanyextension leads
shouldnotexceed 30mintotal,otherwiseyou
mayexperienceproblemsstarting up the
machine.The cross-section ofanyextension
cablewiring must be atleast 2,5mm².
Shouldan extension cordbe used,ensurecord
rating isadequateforthe equipment.Do notuse
extension cordincoiled condition asthiscould
result inoverheating of the cord.
UK only
The supplycordfor230vmodelsisfitted witha
plug containing a13 ampfuse.Shouldthe fuse
requirereplacementit must onlybe replaced bya
13 ampfuseconforming toBS1362,and the fuse
covermust be refitted. Ifthe fusecoverislost the
plug mustnotbe useduntil the correct
replacement coverisfitted.
IMPORTANT -If the supplycordisdamaged,it
must onlybe replaced byaspecialcordavailable
fromthe manufactureroran authorised service
agent.
2.2How toassemblethevacuum
WARNING-Before undertaking
assemblyorchanging of
accessories/toolsswitchoff machine
and unplug fromtheelectricitysupply.
•Insertthe hoseintothe socketonthe frontof
the vacuumcleaner(Fig1).
•Twistinaclockwisedirection untillocked into
position.

4Operation
4.1Starting themachine
•Ensurecableisfullyextended beforeuse.
•Ensureadust bag isfitted beforeuse.
•Pressthe on/offbutton toturnthe vacuum
cleaneron.
•Suction can be adjusted bysliding the airflow
adjusterlocated on the hosehandle(Fig6).

•Formaximumsuction keep the adjusterclosed.
•Afteryou finishcleaning,turnthe vacuum
cleaneroff bypressing the ON/OFFbutton.
•Onlythen unplug fromthe powersocket.
4.2Usingthefloortool
•The floortoolcan be usedforcleaning
carpetsandhardfloors.The floorheads
pedalshouldbe downwhen cleaning hard
floors(Fig7)and inthe uppositionwhen
cleaning carpets(Fig8).

5Storage
•Alwaysunplug the machine afteruse.
•Afterusecheck the bag.Iffull,replacethe
bag.
•Wind the supplycordensuring thatthe plug is
not trailing on the floor.
•Storethe machine inadry indoorarea only.
6Maintenance
WARNING-Before undertaking
maintenance operationsor
adjustmentsswitchoff machineand
unplugfromtheelectricitysupply.
The machine requiresminimummaintenance
apartfromthe following checksbythe operator.
•Supplycord -Regularlyinspectsheath,plug
and cordanchorage fordamage orloose
connection.
•Bodyofthevacuum –Clean withadamp
cloth.
•Vacuumfilter –Check the vacuumfilters,
clean and replaceasappropriate.
•Hose,wandandvacuumaccessories –
Check and removeanydebrisorlintbuild-up
fromthe head.
IMPORTANT –Allotherservicing and repairs
shouldonlybe performed byaTruvoxengineer
orAuthorised ServiceAgent.
IMPORTANT –Shouldthe machine failto
operatepleaserefertothe fault diagnosissection
inthe back ofthe instruction manual.Ifthe
problem/remedyisnotlisted pleasecontact
TruvoxCustomerServiceDepartmentforrapid
attention.

6.1Replacing thedustbag
•Liftthe top latchon the top ofthe machine to
releaseand open the top cover.
•Takeoutthe dustbag and disposeofthe full
bag.
•Position newdust bag.
•Replacethe top coverbyfixing inposition.
•The vacuumisnowreadyforoperation.
6.2Maintaining and replacingthefilter
•Turnthe retaining diskclockwiseuntilitcan be
lifted fromthe filter.
•The filterpad cannowbe removed (AinFig9).

•Replacewithanewfilterinside and turnthe
retaining discanticlockwisetosecure.
•It isveryimportanttokeep the filtersclean to
receivemaximumperformancefromthe
vacuum.Notcleaning and replacing yourfilters
regularlycan reducethe suction powerand
causeoverheating.
7After Sales Service
Truvoxmachinesarehigh qualitymachinesthat
havebeen tested forsafetybyauthorised
technicians. Itisalwaysapparent that afterlonger
working periods, electricaland mechanical
componentswillshowsignsofwearand tearor
ageing.
Underextremeorspecialised conditionsand/or
insufficient maintenance, shortermaintenance
intervalsarenecessary. UseonlyoriginalTruvox
spareparts. Use ofother spare partswill
invalidateall warrantyand liabilityclaims.
Shouldyou requireaftersalesserviceplease
contactthe supplierfromwhomyou purchased
the machine,who will arrange service. Repairs
and servicing of Truvoxproductsshouldonlybe
performedbytrained staff. Improperrepairscan
causeconsiderabledangerstothe user.
8Guarantee
Yourproductisguaranteed for one yearfromthe
dateoforiginalpurchase,orhirepurchase,
againstdefectsinmaterialsorworkmanship
during manufacture.Withinthe guarantee period
weundertakeatourdiscretion,torepairor
replacefreeofcharge tothe purchaser,anypart
found tobe defective,subjecttothe following
conditions.
CONDITIONS
1.Claimsmade underthe termsofthe
guarantee mustbe supported bytheoriginal
invoice/billofsaleissuedatthe timeofsale,
orthe machine Serial Number.
2.Forclaimsunderthisguarantee contactthe
supplierfromwhomyou purchased the
productwhowillarrange the appropriate
action.Do notinitiallyreturnthe productas
thiscouldresultintransit damage.
3.NeitherTruvoxnoritsdistributorsshall be
liableforanyincidental orconsequentialloss.
