ChoosingaLocation
WhenfittedinthesameroomastheappliancetheCOdetectorshouldbewallmountedabovetheheightofanywindowordoor
butatleast150mmbelowceilinglevel.Ifceilingmounteditshouldbeatleast300mmfromanywall.Ineithercasethedetector
shouldbebetween1and3metresfromtheappliance.
Whenfittedinroomsremotefromtheappliancethedetectorshouldbewallmountedclosetothebreathingzoneofthe
occupant;inthelivingroomthiswillbeaboutheadheightofaseatedperson,inthebedroomthiswillbeaboutpillowheight.
TheCOdetectorshouldnotbelocatedinanenclosedspace,insideacupboard,behindacurtain,directlyabovethecookeror
sink,indraughtyareasnexttoadoororwindowornearanextractorfan.

Installation–UsingScrewFixings(Recommended)
1. Removethetopcoverbypressingandslidingupwardsas
showninthediagramalongside.
2. Fixtherearsectiontothewallusingthescrewsandplugs
providedthrough2screwfixingholes.
3. Smoothlywithdrawthered“PULL”tabtoconnectthe
batteriesthenrefitthetopcover.
Installation–UsingSelfAdhesivePads
1. Selectthebestlocationwherethewallisclean,dryandeven.
IMPORTANT:forgoodadhesionthesurfacemustbeflat.
2. Cutoneoftheselfadhesivepadsinhalfandfixthe3pieces
totherearfaceoftheCOdetectorasshownalongside.
3. Removethebackingtapeandpressfirmlyagainstthewall
ensuringitisstucksecurely.
4. Followsteps1&3ofthescrewfixinginstructionsabove
toremovethetopcoverandconnectthebatteries.

TheGREEN,REDandYELLOWlightswillflashinsequence.TheGREENlightwillblinkevery45secondswhenactivated.
TheCOdetectorcannotbeturnedoff.WhenunitisapproachingitsendoflifeitwillemitabeepandflashtheGREENlightsimultaneouslyevery
45seconds.RemovethetopcoverandcuttheBLACKWIREtodeactivate(seedrawingabove).
TestingtheCODetector
PressandholdtheTEST&HUSHbuttonforatleast5seconds,
theGREENlightwillflashandthehornwillsound.
TheTEST&HUSHbuttonmustbepressedwhenregisteringtheCOdetector
ontothewardencallsystem,at‐homealarmorNursecallsystem.
Seethefollowingpagesforhowtoputeachoftheseproductsintoregistrationmode.
Therangeofallradiodevicescanbeaffectedbytheworkingenvironment.
Alwaystakecareduringinstallationandperformseveraltestcalls.

andanEngineersmaskreset/batterytestfunction.
Whenthedetectorisactivatedthealarmcallwillbetransmittedonce,nofurther
transmissionswilloccurfor15minutesgivingtimeforthecauseofthealarmtoclear.
Engineersmaskresetfunction;openthecover,pressandholdBUTTON1onthetransmitter
for2secondsuntiltheredlightflashesonce.Afterashortdelaytheredlightwillflashoncemore
