running.Itshouldbefixedtotheskirtingboardwiththescreworselfadhesivepadprovided.

APoziscrewdriverwillbeneedediftheflooddetectorisbeingscrew‐fixedtotheskirtingboard.
TestingandRegisteringtheFloodDetector
Placeadampclothacrossthe2brassstudstoactivate.
Dependingonthemoisturelevelofyourskin,itmaybe
possibletoactivatethedevicebyplacingyourfingers
acrossthe2brassstuds.
TheRED“Activated”lightwillflashforabout8seconds
whenafloodalarmisbeingtransmitted.
Theflooddetectormustbeactivatedwhenregistering
ontothewardencall,at‐homealarmorNursecallsystem.
Seethefollowingpagesforhowtoputeachofthese
productsintoregistrationmode.
Therangeofallradiodevicescanbeaffectedbytheworkingenvironment‐alwaystakecareduringinstallationand
performseveraltestcalls.
Installation
Itiseasiertotestandlearntheflooddetectorbeforefixing–seeabove.
Whenfixing;alwaysensurethe2brassstudsaretouchingthefloor.
Selectthebestlocation,thenfixtotheskirtingboardwiththesinglescrewthrough
theholeintherightanglebracket.
Ifusingtheselfadhesivepad;selectalocationwheretheskirtingboardiscleananddry.
Sticktheadhesivepadtotherearofrightanglebracketthenpressthedetectorfirmly
totheskirtingboardensuringitisstucksecurely.
FloodAlarms
Iftheflooddetectorsignalsanalarmremoveitfromtheaffectedareauntilthecarpet/flooringisthoroughlydried.Drytheflood
detectortopreventcorrosionofthebrassstuds.Note:iftheflooddetectorisfrequentlyactivatedbywateronthefloorthenit
maybenecessarytorelocatethedeviceawayfromthecauseofthealarm.
BatteryLife
Theflooddetectorbatteryischeckedonceaday,ifthevoltagefallsandstaysbelowapresetlevelfor7consecutivedaysalow
batteryalertisautomaticallytransmitted.Oncealowbatterycallisreceivedtheflooddetectorshouldbereplacedwithin7days.
FlooddetectorsmustbereturnedtoTynetec/Aidcallforbatteryreplacement.
