Wornonthewrist,thefalldetectorautomaticallydetectsachangeinaccelerationthatisrelatedtotripsandstumbles,itthen
monitorsforthesubsequentimpactassociatedwithafall.
Ifafallisautomaticallydetected,theunitcanbesettovibratetoalerttheuserthatanalarmcallisabouttobetransmitted
(vibratealerton/offisanoptionalsetting).Analarmcallwillbetransmittedaftera10seconddelayunlesscancelledbytheuser.
Iftheusershakestheirwristwithin10secondsofafallbeingdetectedthealarmcallcanbecancelledautomatically(auto‐cancel
isanoptionalsetting).WhenanalarmcalliscancelledthelightwillflashGREEN.
IfnocancellationactionistakenthelightwillflashREDandanalarmcallwillbetransmitted.
ThelargeSILVERbuttoncanbepressedtoraiseanalarmcallatanytime,ifitispressedwithin10secondsofafallbeingdetected
afallalarmwillbetransmittedimmediately–thelightwillflashRED.
Duetothecomplexnatureoffallsitmaynotbepossibleforthefalldetectortoautomaticallydetectallfalls.
Usersshouldbeadvisedthatiftheyareable,topressthesilverbuttononthefalldetectoriftheyneedhelp.

byfittingthebeltclipoptionsupplied.
