2. Runthemainsleadtothenearestsocketandsecureusing
theselfadhesivecableclipsprovided.
3. Plug‐inandswitchonthemainssupply–theGREENONlight
willFLASHforabout2minutesduringthesensorwarm‐upperiod.
4. WhentheGREENONlightgoessteadytheunitisoperatingnormally.

Therangeofallradiodevicescanbeaffectedbytheworkingenvironment,
alwaystakecareduringinstallationandperformseveraltestcalls.
ImportantNoteonSensorTesting
ThegasandCOdetectorshouldbefunctionallytestedevery6‐12months(dependingonlocation).
Thegassensorcanonlybetestedwithcalibratedtestgas,nevertestusingneatgasasthiswillpoisonthesensor.
TheCOsensorcanonlybetestedwithcalibratedtestCO,thiswilltakelessthan1minutetotrigger.
FortestgassuppliespleasecontactDuomo.
InCaseofGasAlarm
IfgasisdetectedtheRED“ALARMGAS”lightwillilluminateandtheaudiblealarmwillsound.
Putoutallnakedflames.
Don’tsmoke.Don’tusenakedflames.
Don’tturnelectricalswitchesonoroff.
Turnthegasoffatthesupply.
Openwindowsanddoorstoventilatethearea.
Thealarmwillsilencewhenthegasiscleared.Ifthealarmcontinuestosoundandtheleakcannotbefound,vacatethepremises
andinformtheGasEmergencyServiceimmediately.
InCaseofCarbonMonoxideAlarm
IfcarbonmonoxideisdetectedtheRED“ALARMCO”lightwillilluminateandtheaudiblealarmwillsound.
Openwindowsanddoorstoventilatethearea.
Ifthealarmstopsitissafeforaqualifiedpersontofindthecauseofthealarm.
Ifthealarmcontinuesturntheapplianceoffanddonotuseuntilithasbeencheckedbyaqualifiedperson.
Getmedicalhelpforanyonesufferingheadachesornausea,advisethatcarbonmonoxidepoisoningissuspected.
InCaseofFault
IftheYELLOW“FAULT”lightilluminatestheselftestfeaturehasdetectedafaultwiththesensor.
Theunitisprobablydefectiveandmustbereplaced.
After6yearstheYELLOWlightwillblinkcontinuouslyandtheunitwillemitabeepeveryhour.
Thesensorhasexceededitsusefullifeandmustbereplaced.
FalseAlarms
Itispossibleaerosolsprays,alcoholusedincooking,cigarette,cigaror
pipesmoke,gasfromacigarettelighter,stronghouseholdcleaning
agents,polishesorsolventsmaycausefalsealarms.
CleaningandCare
Itisrecommendedtocleanthegas&COdetectorperiodicallyusingthenozzleattachmentonavacuum
cleanertoremovedust,insectsandcobwebsfromthecoverslots.
Thedetectorcanbewipedcleanwithadampcloth,neverusedetergentsorpolishetc.
Avoidsprayinganyaerosolsnearthedetector.
Decorating
Neverpaintthegas&COdetectoritself.
Unplugthemainssupplyandcoverthedetectorwhendecoratingto
avoidcontaminationfromwaterordust.
BatteryLife
Thetransmitterbatteryischeckedonceaday,ifthevoltagefallsandstaysbelowapresetlevelfor7consecutivedaysalow
batteryalertisautomaticallytransmitted.Oncealowbatterycallisreceivedthegas&COdetectorshouldbereplacedwithin7
days.Thegas&COdetectormustbereturnedtoTynetec/Aidcallforbatteryreplacement.
