Secure use information
A. Possible dangers and warnings
Your printer has moving parts as well as heated parts. Always be alert to
potential dangers when the printer is on.
B. Protection against electric shock
Do not open the electronic parts of the printer when it is in use. Before opening
the electronic parts panel, always close the printer and remove the power cord
from the electrical outlet. After that, wait five minutes before removing the
electronic components chassis.
C. Heat protection
Do not touch the brass nozzle and the above metal parts when the printer is in
operation as these parts are hot and there is a risk of injury. Allow a reasonable
amount of time to cool after work is completed before touching. This time may
in some cases be 20 minutes. Do not touch the plastic as it extrudes from the
nozzle. The plastic is hot and can stick to the skin causing burns. Also, the print
surface may be hot enough to cause a burn.
D. Fire protection
Do not place flammable materials or liquids on or near the printer when plugged
in or in use. Also, materials such as liquid acetone, alcohols or other liquids can
produce flammable fumes. Do not touch the nozzle with flammable materials
during printing, as this may cause a flame.

E. Other hazards
Do not touch the moving parts of the printer when it is in use. If you have long
hair or clothes, be careful not to get caught on the moving parts of the printer.
You are not allowed to use the printer in people under the age of eighteen
without adult supervision. There are small objects in the printer that small
children can swallow.
F. Warning for conversions
At uBuild-3D, we respect your freedom to make modifications to your printer.
However, the warranty provided does not cover damages caused by
modifications or attempts to modify your printer.
Safety signals
The following stickers have been placed in the printer in areas that are
considered dangerous to warn the user of upcoming injuries.

A. Assembly of the LCD display
What you will need for the assembly:
1. Allen key 2mm
2. Allen key 2,5mm
3. LCD rear panel 1x
4. LCD display (pre-assembled) 1x
5. Rectangular sheet metal
6. M3x6mm button head screws 3x

8. M3x6mm countersunk screws

Mr Bot 280
12
Step 1
Locate the holes on the LCD rear panel
(5) before you proceed to screw the

(5) with the rectangular sheet metal.
Step 3
Locate where to attach the sub-
assembly under the printer and screw it
in place with the M4x6mm half-
rounded head screws, as shown in the
photo.

Mr Bot 280
16
