The 550B digital pocket thermometer has a new
protective boot with a built-in magnet and offers
all the required features and ranges needed for today’s
HVAC applications including a water resistant ergonomic
head for easy display readings. Housed in a hard case
sleeve that also serves as a pocket clip, the stem can be
slipped into the loop (built into the metal clip) to offer
additional support or to insulate from the heat of the
measured substance.
Caution: When measuring above 300˚F, do not insert
stem into substance beyond crimp.
OPERATION:
On/Off: Powers instrument on or off.
MIN/MAX: Displays the minimum (1st press) or the
maximum (2nd press) temperature
recorded since the thermometer was turned
on. The thermometer returns to real-time
temperature readings in approximately
three seconds.
Hold: Locks the present temperature on the
screen while “HOLD” flashes in the
corner. Press “H O L D ” again to resume
real-time measurement.
GENERAL:
The thermometer automatically turns off after
approximately one hour to extend battery life. Replace
battery immediately when the low battery icon appears
on the LCD. Maximum temperature range for plastic
case is 14° to 122°F.

Accuracy: ±1.8˚F in the range -22˚F to 302˚F otherwise ±4˚F
Resolution: ±0.1˚F for -19.04 to 199.9 otherwise ±1˚F from
200 to 300
Update Rate: Approximately 1 second
