Charging the battery
IMPORTANT: Fullychargethebatteryatleast4hours.ThebatteryLEDwill
turngreenwhenfullycharged.
CAUTION: Extreme Heat
•Extremeheat:Thebatteryisdesignedtostopoperatingatorabove
theextremeheatof+149°F(+65°C).
•Ifthebatterytemperatureexceeds158°F(70°C)itwillbedisabled
andwillneedtobereplaced.

Once you have started to charge your device, you
canswitchiton.
Once the language is selected, it cannot be
changed.

Turning your unit on and choosing your language
WARNING! BEFORETURNINGTHEDEVICEON,THEDEVICEMUSTBE
PLUGGEDINTOANEXTERNALPOWERSOURCE.
Once you have started to charge your device, you can turn it on.
1. Press the POWER button on the right panel of the device for
about 5 seconds. The device is turned on.
2. TheWelcomeWizardwillleadyouthroughthesetup
process.
3. Selectyourpreferredlanguagebyusingthe+or-buttons
on the left side of the device, then press the ACTION button
tochoosethelanguage(thetouchscreenisnotenabled
yet).
4.Usethe+buttontohighlighttheboxnextto‘Yes,Iwantto
useEnglish(usedasanexample)asthelanguageonthe
device.’
5.PresstheENTERbuttontoplaceacheckinthebox.
6.Pressthe-button2timestohighlighttheNext>box.
7. PresstheENTERbuttontoselectNext.
8. Waitwhileyourunitisbeingconguredforthelanguageyouselected.
9. Theonlywaytochangethelanguageyouhaveselectedistoreinstallthe
rmwareusingtheFirmwareupdateutility.
10. NOTE: OnlyMicrosoftapplicationsandmessageswillbetranslated
into languages other than English. All other error messages,
noticationsandotherapplicationsmayappearinEnglish.
11.Whenthehandheldhasbeenconguredforthelanguageyouselected,the
nextstepistocalibratethetouchscreen.
12.TapthescreentosetupyourWindowsEmbeddedHandheld.
13.Onthealignscreenwindow,useyourngertotouchtheseriesoftargets,
astyluswillnotworkonthisscreen.Youmayneedtorepeatthealignment
procedure more than once to provide a satisfactory alignment.
