LEARN MORE
1. The UDX Bike is a means of transport for leisure. Overall riding experience is necessary for safe driving. Urban Drivestyle is not
responsible for injuries and damages caused by incorrect driving behaviour or by not following the instructions.
2. If all instructions and warnings in this manual are followed, the risk of injury can be reduced considerably, but not completely
eliminated. When using the UDX Bike there is always a risk of loss of control, accidents and falls. When using the UDX Bike on
public roads, the local laws and regulations (StVO in Germany) must always be observed. As with other vehicles, a higher speed
leads to a longer braking distance. Heavy braking on slippery surfaces can lead to falls. Please ride carefully and always keep a
safe distance from other vehicles and participants in road traffic.
3. Please always wear an approved and suitable bicycle or skateboard helmet to protect your head in case of falls.
4. The first ride with the UDX Bike should be made away from children, pedestrians, pets, vehicles and other obstacles and
potential dangers.
5. Please always give way to pedestrians. If you are driving towards a pedestrian from behind, make sure that you have sufficient
visibility and reduce speed to walking speed. Please always comply with applicable rules and laws.
6. The safety instructions in this document also serve as a guideline if you are on private property and the rules of the road traffic
regulations do not apply. Urban Drivestyle is not responsible for any damages, injuries, accidents or legal proceedings that may
result from a violation of these safety instructions.
7. The UDX Bike should only be driven by persons who have read these instructions for use. If you let other people drive your UDX
Bike, their safety is your responsibility. Help first-time users until they are familiar with driving the UDX Bike.
8. Please make sure before every ride that the UDX Bike and its components are in perfect condition. If the UDX Bike makes
unusual noises or an error code is shown on the display, stop immediately and contact Urban Drivestyle.
9. Always be vigilant when operating the UDX Bike. Drive with foresight to avoid potential dangers, obstacles and

First plug the power cable into the socket and then the cable into the
socket of the UDX Bike.
When the input and output of the charger is connected to the UDX Bike,
the red indicator lights up. The battery is full when the indicator light
changes from red to green. At this point you can remove the charger and
close the protective cover again.
Standard Charging Time:
With the appropriate charger and at an ambient temperature between 10°
C and 30°C,, the UDX Bike will fully charge within 4-6 hours.
The supplied charger has an overcharge protection which is damaged by a
high current input. The charging current must be less than 2A. Long-term
charging with a high current can damage the battery and reduce its
overall battery capacity and life.
Note:
The battery can be charged both inside and outside the bike.
Make sure to maintain the battery in an ambient temperature condition as
extreme cold or hot temperatures can affect the battery capacity and life.

15
In order to remove your battery from the bike, make sure the battery lock
is turned on “OPEN”, which has to stand on top.
Then, gently push the battery in the direction of the handlebar. Doing this
for the first time might be an unusual feeling due to the necessary
pressure you have to push with, to get the battery off the rail.
In order to mount the battery on the rail, place it on the rail unit according
to the charging pins and guidance hooks and gently push it back into the
railing.
To lock the battery in the rail, turn the battery lock on “LOCK” position,
which has to stand on top.
Note:
The battery key is only necessary to lock or unlock the battery from the
rail unit. It is not needed to power on the battery and can therefore be
taken off at any time. We recommend to not leave it in the battery lock.

Battery & Charging
Charging Instructions:
Lithium-ion batteries should never be deep-discharged, this will damage the lithium cells irreparably. All lithium batteries should
be stored with medium charging level. If a battery is not needed for a longer period of time, please do not fully charge it before –
this puts the lithium cells in unnecessary "stress" which can lead to an overall shortened lifetime of the battery. If one has the
choice when using the battery, we recommend not to charge it completely, but to always use it in the medium voltage range. Of
course, the battery can be fully charged, e.g. to ride long distances – it is only technically best for a lithium battery to not do this in
order to get the maximum performance and longevity out of the battery.
The service life of lithium-ion batteries is specified in charging cycles. You do not "waste" charging cycles by recharging the lithium
battery more often, although it is not "drained" – this is completely wrong! For the indicated lifetime, charging cycles are referred
to as full cycles. This means that if you discharge your battery by 50% and then fully recharge it again, this counts as ½ charging
cycle. Charge twice, corresponding to one full cycle. We recommend recharging a lithium battery at 25% residual charge up to
approx. 75% charge level. For long distances, the battery can of course also be fully charged – see above.
During the wintering or long storage of vehicles with lithium-ion batteries, it is absolutely necessary to store them at least
once a month up to approx. 60% reload. For lithium batteries only use chargers approved and recommended by the manufacturer.
Charging with a higher voltage/current in assumption to charge the battery faster, will cause irreparable damage to the lithium
cells. In the worst case, this can lead to fire and injuries.

Cleaning:
Please never wash with a water hose!
In order to reliably prevent rust, it is recommended that the UDX Bike be thoroughly
cleaned and dried after rain journeys which cannot be prevented.
The use of rust preventing care products is strongly recommended. Only use
suitable cleaning and care products and a soft sponge.
Never use solvents.
Never direct a direct water jet at the following components:
Headlights, switch on the handlebars, brake lever, battery, charger.
After washing, wipe with clean water to remove any detergent residue. Dry with a
leather cloth.
ATTENTION:
In outside temperatures around freezing point, please always make sure that all
cable and brake lines are functioning properly.
Cleaning
8. Maintenance & Care

19
Carry out some braking operations with extreme caution in a safe place. The water
on the braking surfaces reduces the braking power in the short term.
Please keep your UDX Bike away from sunlight and moisture.
Check the screws and small parts on your UDX Bike regularly.
Do not use alcohol, petrol, acetone or other chemical solvents to clean the UDX Bike,
as this could corrode it. Make sure that the parts are regularly maintained and
checked.
The maintenance and care of the batteries is a decisive criterion for the lifetime of
your battery. Incorrect maintenance, care and charging behaviour can greatly
reduce the life of the battery, up to irreparable damage and premature total failure
of the battery.
