GETTING STARTED
Battery Removal and Installation
1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
2. Find the battery cover located on the
top of the spine of the book. Use a
screwdriver to loosen the screw and
then open the battery cover.
3. Remove old batteries by pulling up
on the end of each battery.
4. Install 2 new AAA batteries following
the diagram inside the battery box. (For
best performance, alkaline batteries
or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable
batteries are recommended.)
5. Replace the battery cover and tighten
the screw to secure.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
• Insertbatterieswiththecorrectpolarity(+and-).
• Donotmixoldandnewbatteries.
• Donotmixalkaline,standard(carbon-zinc)orrechargeablebatteries.
• Onlybatteries of the same or equivalenttypeasrecommended

PRODUCT FEATURES
1. Off/Mode Selector Switch
To turn the unit On, slide the Off/Mode
Selector Switch to the Story mode
or the Music mode position. You will
hear a song and a playful phrase. To
turn the unit Off, slide the Off/Mode
Selector Switch to the Off position.
2. Volume Control Switch
To adjust the volume, slide the
Volume Control Switch on the back
of the unit to the Low volume or
the High volume position.
3. Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, the Animal Rhymes Music BookTM will
automatically shut off after several seconds without input. The unit
can be turned on again by pressing the instrument buttons or by
turning the book pages.
NOTE
Iftheunitpowersdownorifthelightfadesoutduringplay,pleaseinstall
a new set of batteries.

ACTIVITIES
1. Book Pages
Turn the Book Pages in the Story
mode to hear a phrase and a sung
nursery rhyme. In the Music mode
you will hear a fun melody. The light
will flash with the sounds.
2. Instrument Buttons
Press the Instrument Buttons in
the Story mode to hear the color of
the button introduced, the instrument
name and sound or a random melody
played with the related instrument
sound. In the Music mode you will
hear individual piano notes. The light
will flash with the sounds.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat
sources.
3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended
period of time.
4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit
to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please
followthesesteps:
1. Turn the unit O.
2. Interruptthepowersupplybyremovingthebatteries.
3. Lettheunitstandforafewminutes,thenreplacethebatteries.
4. Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
5. Iftheunitstilldoesnotwork,installanewsetofbatteries.
