• If so equipped, do not use your central
vacuum system or GarageVac by VacuMaid®
without dustbag and/or lters in place.
• Always use in upright position.
• Intended for use with central vacuum
and Garage Vac by Vacumaid® units only.
WARNING: This wet pickup system must be in working order and
installed correctly or damage will occur to your vacuum system and will
void the warranty on your central vacuum or GarageVac by VacuMaid®.
You will be hooking up to an electried appliance. Be sure to use
properly and as instructed to avoid shock or damage to your system.
Be sure to consult the safety instructions &
manual for your vacuum system.

Wash and check the oat before each use...
Once the oat dries, it can get stuck to the bottom of
the cage on the underside of the lid. When this occurs,
it prevents the oat from being able to rise up and seal
the water from getting into the unit. This can cause
damage to your unit, as well as possiblity of shock.
Lift o the wet pickup lid by unlatching it from the can.
Check the styrofoam oat located on the underside of the
lid and make sure it is loose and moving freely. (Figure 1)
Replace the lid and latch back. Be sure to line up the
latches with the notches on the lid. (Figure 2)

BEFORE EACH USE
Attaching the vacuum hose
First, attach your shorter 10 ft. hose that has two cus on it
included with your wet pick up canister set. (Figure 3)
Insert the slip cu into the top of the wet pick up lid,
where it is labeled “to inlet”. (Figure 4)
Attaching the cleaning hose*
Insert the end of your vacuum cleaning hose
(not included - Use only non-electric hose) into
the side inlet stem on the top of the wet pick
up lid. (Figure 5)

HOOKING UP YOUR WET PICKUP CANISTER
During use the oat will rise to the top and seal
the opening when full. This ensures no liquid
entering the vacuum system.

appliances. To be used with non-electric straight
suction hoses only. (If your hose has two pins or a cord at
the end or an on/o switch, it is an electric hose and should
not be used with the wet pick up kit.)
Hooking wet pick up to your vacuum
Once you are ready to begin vacuuming,
insert the banded end of the 10 ft. hose
Into your central vacuum inlet valve
in the wall (Figure 6a) or inlet
valve on front of your unit
(if equipped; Figure 6b).

NEVER use your central vacuum system or GarageVac to pick
up wet debris or liquid without using your wet pickup system.
Once you are nished cleaning up your liquid, you will
need to dispose of the water and unhook your system.
Emptying the canister

Remove the two hoses plugged into the top of
the canister. (Figure 1)
Use the handle to carry wet pickup canister to a
sink or outdoor area where you will be disposing
of the dirty liquid. If heavy, you may want to carry
it by supporting it from the bottom.
Next, unhook the latches from the canister by
lifting up on each one from the bottom of the
latch. (Figure 2)
Remove the lid. Dump the liquid out.

Drying you hose for storage
Be sure to let your hose air dry before using it again.
**Not drying hose completely can cause clogs and or
damage to your vacuum system, as the moisture can
work its way to the vacuum system.**
Take the hose that you used for vacuuming and
hang it up so that is can drain. Do not coil it
for storage until it is completely dry. Also, do
not use it to pick up dry dirt & debris until all
moisture is removed.

Begin vacuuming up the liquid mess. Be sure to not
overll the tank. Depending on the size of clean up,
you may need to empty the tank multiple times.
