SECTION 1 - INTRODUCTION
The Valco LLD alarm system provides solid-state electronic surveillance of a
gluing system’s glue supply. There are two types of LLD alarm systems
available. The first is the traditional alarm system, the LLD Alarm System,
that alerts the operator that the glue level is low. The operator must then refill
the glue manually.
The traditional LLD alarm system is activated when the glue supply in the
tank drops below a pre-established level. It contains no moving parts. The
LLD alarm system consists of the following components:
• A low-level detection probe, which is inserted into the glue
supply tank (reservoir)
• An electronics control box, which incorporates both a visual
and an audio annunciator.
The LLD alarm system offers a dual-level warning capability:

light that alerts the operator that the glue level is low.

Low level (for non-pressurized drums and vats only) —The
low level is indicated by an audio alarm that alerts the
operator that the glue level is critically low. When the low-
level alarm sounds, the glue tank should be refilled
immediately.
The activation depth of both alarms can
be easily adjusted in the field.
The second type of LLD alarm system, the AutoRefill LLD System, does not
require manual refilling. Instead of an alarm being sounded, the low level
detection triggers the automatic refilling pump to refill the glue pot. This LLD
configuration is for non-pressurized drums and vats only.
