6. Operation
Refer to the illustrations on page 2of this manual.
•The BDET1 can work either via the included mains adaptor, the included car cigar lighter cable or
using the built-in rechargeable battery.
AC adaptor/car cigar lighter socket
•Connect the DC output of the adaptor or car cigar lighter cable into the DC input jack [13].
•Plug the adaptor into a suitable mains outlet or plug the car lighter plug into a 12V car cigar lighter
receptacle.
•The detector automatically switches on and performs a self-test.
•The LCD backlight is always on and the battery is charged when necessary.
Internal battery
•Switch on the detector by pressing and holding the On/Off button [8] for 3s. Press and hold again for
3s to switch it off.
•The LCD backlight switches off after 10s, data is still maintained. Press any button or insert a
banknote to switch the backlight on again.
•To save power, the detector will enter sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. It can be put back in
active mode by pressing the On/Off button [8]. However, previous data is lost.
•The battery status is indicated on the display [2].
Set currency
•The detector can detect either Euro banknotes or Pound sterling (GBP). To switch between them,
press and hold the MODE/CUR button [6] for 2s. The currency is indicated [1] on the display.
•The selected currency is memorized when the device is switched off.
Show denomination or total value
•The display can either show [5] the value of the last inserted banknote (single mode) or the sum of
all inserted banknotes (add mode).
•Press the MODE/CUR button [6] to switch to add mode (display indicates ADD [4]). The sum value
is shown on the bottom line [5].
•Press the MODE/CUR button [6] again to switch to single mode (display indicates SINGLE [4]). The
denomination of the last inserted banknote is shown on the bottom line [5].
Note: the number of banknotes passed through the detector is always indicated [3].
Banknote exit
•Banknotes always have to be inserted via the front of the device [7]. They can be ejected either
back through the front [7] or via the back [15].
•To set the exit direction, shortly press the DIR/CLEAR button [9]. An arrow on the display [12, 13]
indicates in which direction the accepted banknotes are ejected. Press again to change the direction.
Note: suspected banknotes are always ejected in the opposite direction of the accepted banknotes.
•The selected direction is memorized when the device is switched off.
Inserting banknotes
•Flatten the banknote prior to inserting it into the devise.
•Slide the banknote lengthwise into the entrance slot [7] in any direction with any side facing up.
•The banknote will be drawn into the detector, analyzed and ejected again via the selected direction.
•Suspected banknotes will be ejected in the opposite direction from the accepted ones and the
detector will beep 3 times. An error code is displayed [3] shortly.

6. Gebruik

•U kunt de BDET1 voeding met behulp van de meegeleverde adapter, de meegeleverde
sigarettenstekker of de interne batterij.
Voedingsadapter/sigarettenstekker
•Koppel de DC-uitgang van de adapter of de sigarettenstekker aan de DC-ingang [13].
•Steek de adapter in het stopcontact of de sigarettenstekker in de 12V-aansluiting.
•De tester schakelt automatisch in en wordt gereset.
•De interne batterij wordt automatisch opgeladen.
Interne batterij
•Schakel de geldtester in of uit door de aan-uitschakelaar [8] gedurende 3 seconden in te drukken.
•De display schakelt automatisch uit na 10 seconden. Druk op een knop of steek een biljet in de gleuf
[7] om de display opnieuw in te schakelen.
•Om energie te besparen zal de geldtester na 5 minuten naar stand-by overschakelen. Druk op de
aan-uitschakelaar [8] om de geldtester opnieuw in te schakelen. Merk op dat alle gegevens gewist
worden.
•De batterijstatus wordt weergegeven op de display [2].
De valuta instellen
•Deze geldtester is geschikt voor gebruik met eurobiljetten en Britse ponden (GBP). Houd MODE/CUR
[6] ingedrukt om de valuta te selecteren. De valuta staat op de display [1] weergegeven.
•De geselecteerde valuta wordt na uitschakeling in het geheugen bewaard.
De waarde weergeven
•De display geeft de waarde van het laatst gescande bankbiljet [5] (SINGLE) of de totaal gescande
waarde (ADD) weer.
•Druk op MODE/CUR [6] om te schakelen tussen de twee functies.
Opmerking: Het aantal gescande biljetten wordt altijd weergegeven [3].
Uitwerpen van het bankbiljet
•Steek het bankbiljet altijd in de insteekgleuf [7]. De geldtester werpt het gescande bankbiljet
vooraan [7] of achteraan [15] uit.
•Druk op DIR/CLEAR button [9] om de uitwerprichting te selecteren. Een pijl [12, 13] geeft aan in
welke richting de aanvaarde bankbiljetten uitgeworpen worden. Druk opnieuw om de richting om te
keren.
Opmerking: De niet-conform bevonden bankbiljetten worden altijd in tegengestelde richting
uitgeworpen dan de conform bevonden biljetten.
•De uitwerprichting wordt na uitschakeling in het geheugen bewaard.
De bankbiljetten in de geldtester steken
•Maak het te scannen biljet zo glad mogelijk.
•Schuif het bankbiljet recto of verso en in de lengte in de insteekgleuf [7].
•De geldtester scant het bankbiljet en werpt deze opnieuw uit.
•De geldtester piept drie keer en geeft een code op de display [3] weer.

6. Emploi
Se référer aux illustrations en page 2 de cette notice.
•Le BDET1 peut être alimenté par le bloc secteur inclus, par la fiche allume-cigare incluse ou par la
pile interne.
Bloc secteur/fiche allume-cigare
•Connecter la sortie CC du bloc secteur ou la fiche allume-cigare à la prise CC [13].
•Connecter le bloc secteur à une prise de courant ou connecter la fiche allume-cigare à la prise 12 V.
•Le détecteur s’allume automatiquement et se réinitialise.
•La pile interne est automatiquement rechargée.
La pile interne
•Allumer et éteindre le détecteur en enfonçant le bouton marche/arrêt [8] pendant 3 secondes.
•L’afficheur s’éteint après un délai de 10 secondes. Enfoncer un bouton ou insérer un billet dans la
fente pour rallumer l’afficheur.
•Le détecteur se met en veille après 5 minutes afin d’économiser l’énergie. Enfoncer le bouton
marche/arrêt [8] pour réactiver le détecteur. Les données enregistrées seront cependant effacées.
•L’état de la pile est également affiché [2].
Sélection de la monnaie
•Ce détecteur convient pour les billets en euro et en livres sterling (GBP). Sélectionner la monnaie en
maintenant enfoncé le bouton MODE/CUR [6] pendant 2 secondes. La monnaie sélectionnée s’affiche
[1].
•La monnaie sélectionnée sera sauvegardée après extinction.
Affichage du montant total
•Le détecteur affiche [5] la valeur du billet inséré en dernier (mode SINGLE) ou le montant total de
tous les billets insérés (mode ADD).
•Enfoncer le bouton MODE/CUR [6] pour sélectionner le mode souhaité.
Remarque : Le nombre de billets insérés est toujours affiché [3].
Rejet d’un billet
•Insérer un billet dans la fente frontale [7]. Le billet de banque sera rejeté par la fente frontale [7]
ou la fente arrière [15].
•Sélectionner la direction de rejet du billet en enfonçant brièvement le bouton DIR/CLEAR [9]. La
flèche sur l’afficheur [12, 13] indique la direction sélectionnée. Renfoncer le bouton pour inverser la
direction.
Remarque : Le détecteur rejette les billets de banque considérés comme étant des contrefaçons
dans la direction opposée des billets de banque acceptés.
•La direction de rejet sélectionnée sera sauvegardée après extinction.
Insertion d’un billet
•Aplatir le billet de banque.
•Glisser le billet recto ou verso mais dans sa longueur dans la fente d’insertion [7].
•Le détecteur analyse le billet et le rejette.
•Le détecteur émet trois tonalités et affiche [3] un code :

•Pour libérer un billet coincé, ouvrir le boîtier en plaçant vos doigts dans la fente d’insertion [7] et en
soulever délicatement le boîtier. Refermer le boîtier.
