1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union
Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that
disposal of the device after its lifecycle could harm the
environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as
unsorted municipal waste; it should be taken to a
specialized company for recycling. This device should be
returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.

2. Safety Instructions
Never immerse the clock in water.
Do not subject to shocks or strong fluctuations of temperature and
humidity.
Do not open the clock and modify the internal circuit.
Remove the batteries if storing the clock for a long period.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman®Service and Quality Warranty on the last
pages of this manual.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
Damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered
by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in
an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual
is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept
responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed
to changes in temperature. Protect the device against damage by
leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature.
Keep this manual for future reference.

6. Operation
6.1 Installing the Batteries
1. Open the battery compartment and install three AAA batteries
according to the polarity.
2. Close the battery compartment.
Warning: Do not puncture batteries or throw them in
fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge
non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of
batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep
batteries away from children.

6.2 Date and Time Setting
1. Hold SET pressed to enter the date and time setting mode.
2. Set your date and time with UP/DOWN; go to the next digit by
pressing SET. The setting sequence is:
year > month > date > hour > minute > 12h/24h > exit.
3. The system automatically exits the setting mode after 30
seconds of inactivity.
6.3 Alarm Setting and Activation
Alarm Setting
1. Hold UP pressed to enter the setting mode for alarm 1; hold
DOWN pressed to enter the setting mode for alarm 2.
2. Set your alarm time with UP/DOWN; go to the next digit by
pressing SET. The setting sequence is:
M-F* > S-S* > M-F + S-S > hour > minute > exit.
* M-F = Monday to Friday, S-S = Saturday to Sunday.
3. The system automatically exits the setting mode after 30
seconds of inactivity.
Alarm Activation
1. Slide the alarm button of the desired alarm to ON to switch on
the alarm function.
2. The alarm will ring at the set time. Press SNOOZE/LIGHT to
enter the snooze function or slide the alarm button to OFF to
deactivate completely.
6.4 Backlight
Press SNOOZE/LIGHT to activate the backlight. The backlight will
automatically switch off after 10 seconds.
6.5 Date Display
Press SNOOZE/LIGHT twice to display the date. The display will
automatically switch to time display after 10 seconds.
7. Cleaning and Maintenance
The clock does not need any particular maintenance. However,
occasionally wipe it with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not
use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents or strong detergents.

1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan
dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit
toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit
toestel (en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het gewone
huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd
bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel
naar uw dealer of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen.
Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
Hebt u vragen, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten
betreffende de verwijdering.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies
Dompel het toestel nooit onder in water.
Stel het toestel niet bloot aan schokken of sterke
temperatuurschommelingen en vochtigheid.
Open het toestel niet en wijzig het interne circuit niet.
Verwijder de batterijen als u het toestel voor een lange periode
opbergt.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie
achteraan deze handleiding.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen.
Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan
het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie
vervalt automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.

De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde
richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de
verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen die hier
rechtstreeks verband mee houden.
Schakel het toestel niet onmiddellijk in nadat het werd
blootgesteld aan temperatuurschommelingen. Om beschadiging te
vermijden, moet u wachten tot het toestel de kamertemperatuur
heeft bereikt.
Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.

6. Gebruik
6.1 Batterijen plaatsen
1. Open het batterijvak en plaats 3 AAA-batterijen. Respecteer de
polariteit.
2. Sluit het batterijvak.
Waarschuwing: U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of
in het vuur gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen
alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de
plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd batterijen buiten
het bereik van kinderen.

6.2 Datum en tijd instellen
1. Houd SET ingedrukt om de datum- en tijdmodus te activeren.
2. Stel de datum en tijd in met UP/DOWN; ga naar het volgende
cijfer door op SET te drukken. De instelvolgorde is als volgt:
jaar > maand > datum > uren > minuten > 12/24-uur formaat
> verlaten.
3. Het systeem verlaat de instelmodus automatisch na 30 seconden
inactiviteit.
6.3 Alarm instellen en activeren
Het alarm instellen
1. Houd UP ingedrukt om de instelmodus voor alarm 1 te
activeren; houd DOWN ingedrukt om de instelmodus voor alarm
2 te activeren.
2. Stel het alarm in met UP/DOWN; ga naar het volgende cijfer
door op SET te drukken. De instelvolgorde is als volgt:
M-F* > S-S* > M-F + S-S > uren > minuten > verlaten.
* M-F = maandag tot vrijdag, S-S = zaterdag tot zondag.
3. Het systeem verlaat de instelmodus automatisch na 30 seconden
inactiviteit.
Het alarm activeren
1. Schuif de alarmknop van het gewenste alarm op ON om de
alarmfunctie te activeren.
2. Het alarm zal op de ingestelde tijd afgaan. Druk op
SNOOZE/LIGHT om de sluimerfunctie te activeren of schuif de
alarmknop op OFF om volledig uit te schakelen.
6.4 Achtergrondverlichting
Druk op SNOOZE/LIGHT om de achtergrondverlichting in te
schakelen. De achtergrondverlichting schakelt automatisch uit na 10
seconden.
6.5 Datumweergave
Druk tweemaal op SNOOZE/LIGHT om de datum weer te geven. Na
10 seconden schakelt de display automatisch over naar tijdweergave.

7. Reiniging en onderhoud
Het toestel vereist geen bijzonder onderhoud. Maak af en toe proper
met een vochtige doek, om er als nieuw te laten uitzien. Gebruik
geen bijtende chemische producten, reinigingsmiddelen of sterke
detergenten.
