1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union
Important environmental information about this product
This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of
the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not
dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it
should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device
should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.
Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do
not install or use it and contact your dealer.
2. Safety Instructions

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
the use of the device in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by

Keep this device away from rain, moisture, splashing and
dripping liquids.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force
when operating the device.
Protect the device against extreme heat and dust.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside the device.
Refer to an authorized dealer for service and/or spare
parts.

3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages
of this manual.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually
using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an
unauthorised way will void the warranty.

5. Battery
1. To replace the battery, make sure the device is switched off.
2. Open the battery compartment at the back.
3. Take out the old battery and replace with a new and identical 9 V
battery following the polarity markings inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment.
WARNING
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as
they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge
non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of
batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep
batteries away from children.

6. Operation
REMARK
This moisture meter has a temperature
compensation function. If the meter is used in
an ambient with a wide temperature
difference, please leave the meter to rest for
30 minutes until it has reached room
temperature.
For the best results, the probes should be
inserted perpendicular to the wood’s fibre
structure.
This meter has been calibrated before delivery.
Do not revise the calibration parameters
without professional equipment and qualified
personnel.
Protect the device and probes from (corrosive)
liquids.
The probes are extremely sharp. Use the
meter with care and always protect with its
cap.
1. Press the power button to switch on the meter.
2. Select the temperature unit and suitable measuring mode (please refer
to the list on the product’s page on www.velleman.eu).
3. Push the measurement probes about 5 mm deep into the material to
be measured. The display shows the measured value.
4. Press the MAX/MIN to display the maximum and minimum measured
values. Press again to go back to the normal measurement mode.
5. Briefly press the backlight button to switch the scan or hold mode.
Keep the button pressed to switch the backlight on or off.
6. Press the on-off button to switch off the meter. Place the protection
cap over the measurement probes.
7. Cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use
alcohol or solvents. Do not submerge the device in any liquid.
Store the meter in a dry place away from humidity and vibrations.
Remove the battery when the meter is to be stored for long periods of
time.

1. Inleiding

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar,

beperkingen, of door personen met gebrek aan ervaring en kennis,
op voorwaarde dat dit onder toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die
verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid of hun aanwijzingen heeft
gegeven, hoe zij het toestel moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn
van de risico's die het gebruik van het toestel met zich meebrengt.
Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen. Reiniging en
onderhoud van het toestel mogen niet worden uitgevoerd door

3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze
handleiding.
Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat
gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt
automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.

1. Schakel het toestel uit om de batterij te vervangen.
2. Open het batterijvak aan de achterkant van het toestel.
3. Verwijder de oude batterij en plaats een nieuwe, identieke 9 V-batterij
in het batterijvak volgens de polariteitsaanduidingen.
4. Sluit het batterijvak.
WAARSCHUWING
U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het vuur
gooien (explosiegevaar). Herlaad geen
alkalinebatterijen. Gooi batterijen weg volgens de
plaatselijke milieuwetgeving. Houd batterijen
buiten het bereik van kinderen.

6. Gebruik
OPMERKING
Het toestel heeft een functie voor
temperatuurcompensatie. Indien het toestel
wordt gebruikt in een omgeving met een groot
temperatuurverschil, laat het 30 minuten
rusten totdat het toestel de kamertemperatuur
heeft bereikt.
Voor de beste resultaten, plaats de
meetsondes loodrecht in de
houtvezelstructuur.
Dit toestel is reeds gekalibreerd bij levering.
De kalibratieparameters mogen niet zonder
professionele uitrusting worden gewijzigd of
moeten door een vakman worden uitgevoerd.
Bescherm het toestel en de meetsondes tegen
(bijtende) vloeistoffen.
De meetsondes zijn zeer scherp. Behandel het
toestel voorzichtig en gebruik steeds de kap.
1. Druk op de aan/uit-knop om het toestel in te schakelen.
2. Selecteer de temperatuureenheid en de gewenste meetmodus
(raadpleeg de lijst op de productenpagina op www.velleman.eu).
3. Steek de meetsondes ongeveer 5 mm in het te meten materiaal. De
display geeft de gemeten waarde weer.
4. Druk op "MAX/MIN" om de maximum- en minimum meetwaarden weer
te geven. Druk nogmaals om naar de normale meetmodus terug te
keren.
5. Druk kort op de knop voor de achtergrondverlichting om naar de scan-
of hold-modus te schakelen. Houd de knop ingedrukt om de
achtergrondverlichting in- of uit te schakelen.
6. Houd de aan/uit-knop ingedrukt om het toestel uit te schakelen. Plaats
de beschermkap op de meetsondes.
7. Reiniging en onderhoud
Maak het toestel geregeld schoon met een vochtige, niet pluizende
doek. Gebruik geen alcohol of solventen. Dompel het toestel nooit onder
in een vloeistof.
Bewaar het toestel op een droge plaats en vermijd blootstelling aan
vocht en trillingen.
Verwijder de batterij wanneer u het toestel voor een lange periode niet
gebruikt.

1. Eteindre l'appareil pour remplacer la pile.
2. Ouvrir le compartiment à piles à l'arrière de l'appareil.
3. Retirer la pile usée et la remplacer par une pile neuve de 9 V.
Respecter la polarité indiquée dans le compartiment à piles.
4. Fermer le compartiment à piles.
AVERTISSEMENT
Ne jamais perforer les piles et ne pas les jeter au
feu (danger d’explosion). Ne jamais recharger des
piles alcalines. Se débarrasser des piles en
respectant la réglementation locale relative à la
protection de l’environnement. Garder les piles
hors de la portée des enfants.

6. Emploi
REMARQUE
L'appareil dispose d'une fonction de
compensation de température. Si l'appareil est
utilisé dans un environnement avec une
grande différence de température, laisser le
reposer pendant 30 minutes jusqu'à ce que
l'appareil ait atteint la température ambiante.
Pour les meilleurs résultats, positionner
toujours les sondes perpendiculairement à la
direction des fibres du bois.
Cet appareil a été étalonné en usine. Ne pas
modifier les paramètres d'étalonnage sans
équipement professionnel ou laisser effectuer
par un technicien qualifié.
Protéger l'appareil et les sondes de liquides
(corrosifs).
Les sondes sont extrêmement pointues.
Manipuler l'appareil avec précaution et
toujours mettre le capuchon de protection.
1. Appuyer sur le bouton on/off pour allumer l'appareil.
2. Sélectionner l'unité de température et le mode de mesure souhaité
(voir la liste sur la page technique sur www.velleman.eu).
3. Introduire les sondes de mesure d'environ 5 mm dans le matériel à
mesurer. La valeur de mesure s'affiche.
4. Appuyer sur MAX/MIN pour afficher les valeurs de mesure minimum et
maximum. Appuyer à nouveau pour revenir au mode de mesure
normal.
5. Enfoncer brièvement le bouton de rétroéclairage pour sélectionner le
mode scan ou hold. Maintenir enfoncé le bouton pour allumer ou
éteindre le rétroéclairage.
6. Maintenir enfoncé le bouton on/off pour éteindre l'appareil. Remettre le
capuchon de protection sur les sondes de mesure.
7. Nettoyage et entretien
Nettoyer régulièrement l’appareil avec un chiffon humide non
pelucheux. Éviter l’usage d’alcool et de solvants. Ne jamais immerger
l’appareil dans un liquide.
Ranger l'appareil dans un endroit sec et à l'abri de l'humidité et les
vibrations.
Retirer la pile lorsque l'appareil n'est pas utilisé pendant une période
prolongée.

1. Para reemplazar la pila, asegúrese de que el aparato esté desactivado.
2. Abra el compartimiento de pilas de la parte trasera del aparato.
3. Quite la pila agotada y reemplácela por una del mismo tipo (9 V)
siguiendo las marcas de polaridad en el compartimiento de pilas.
4. Vuelva a cerrar el compartimiento de pilas.
ADVERTENCIA
Nunca perfore las pilas y no las eche al fuego
(peligro de explosión). Nunca recargue pilas no

6. Funcionamiento
OBSERVACIÓN
El aparato está equipado con una función de
compensación de temperatura. Si el aparato
ha estado expuesto a grandes cambios de
temperatura, espere unos 30 minutos hasta
que llegue a la temperatura ambiente.
Para un mejor resultado, ponga las puntas de
medición en perpendicular con respecto a la
estructura de madera
El aparato está calibrado. No cambie los
parámetros de calibración sin la ayuda de un
técnico cualificado y equipo profesional.
No exponga el aparato y las puntas de
medición a líquidos (corrosivos).
Las puntas de medición son muy afiladas. Sea
cuidadoso al utilizar el aparato y use siempre
la cubierta protectora.
1. Pulse el botón ON/OFF para activar el aparato.
2. Seleccione la unidad de temperatura y el modo de medición deseado
(consulte la lista en www.velleman.eu).
3. Introduzca las sondas de prueba unos 5 mm en el material cuya
temperatura quiere medir. La pantalla visualizará el valor medido.
4. Pulse el botón MAX/MIN para visualizar el valor medido máximo y
mínimo. Vuelva a pulsar para volver al modo de medición normal.
5. Pulse brevemente el botón de retroiluminación para conmutar entre el
modo SCAN y el modo HOLD. Mantenga pulsado el botón para
encender o apagar la retroiluminación.
6. Pulse el botón ON/OFF para desactivar el aparato. Vuelva a poner la
tapa de protección.
7. Limpieza y mantenimiento
Limpie el aparato regularmente con un paño húmedo sin pelusas. No
utilice alcohol ni disolventes. Nunca sumerja el aparato en un líquido.
Almacene el aparato en un lugar seco donde no esté expuesto a
humedad y vibraciones.
Quite la pila si no va a utilizar el aparato durante un largo período de
tiempo.
