•The tester is a precision test instrument and, when used as
described in this manual, sho uld n ot require m ainte nan ce .
•Calibration is not required.
•To clean the outside of the tester, use a cloth dampened with a
m ild detergent solution. Do not use any abrasive cleansers or

Geb ruik dit toestel nooit op kabels die on der spanning
staan; dit zal de tester beschadigen.
Er zijn geen door de gebruiker vervangbare onderdelen in
dit
toestel. Voor onderhoud en/of reserveonderdelen,
contacteer uw dealer.

objecten gevuld met vloeistof op of naast het toestel.
•Bescherm dit toestel tegen stof en ex trem e temperaturen.
•Bescherm tegen schokken. Verm ijd brute k racht tijdens de
bediening.
•Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor u het gaa t
gebruiken.

•Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen.
Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan

•Het toestel test kabels m et rechte aansluitingen, geen

Te st v oo r w aa r de n
Om testfouten te verm ijden:
•Ni e t gebruiken in de nabijheid van sterk e m agnetische velden
(magneten, luidsprekers, transform atoren, motoren, spoelen,
relais, contactoren, elektromagneten, enz.).
•Niet gebruiken in de nabijheid van sterke elektrostatische velden
(hoogspanningsk abels, televisietoestellen, com puterscherm en,
e nz . ) .
•Niet gebruiken in de nabijheid van sterke RF-velden (radio- of
te levisiezen ders, wa lk ie talk ies, mobiele telefoon s, en z.) .
5 . 2 Ee n R J4 5 -kabel t este n
Geb ruik dit toestel nooit op kabels die on der spanning
s taa n; di t k an elektrische schokken veroorzaken of de
meter beschadigen.
O pm e r k in g e n
•U kunt slechts één kabel per keer testen. U kunt bijvoorbeeld een
coaxkabel en een RJ4-k abel niet ge lijk t ijdig testen .
•Het toestel test volledige kabels. Het toestel detecteert geen
fouten in kabels die met opzet onvolledig gemaakt zijn.
Bijvoo rbeeld, de standaard EI A/TI A-68 RJ45-ethernetkabel met
term inator is normaal voorzien van 8 geleiders. Indien er slechts 4
geleiders tussen de RJ45-connectoren gebruikt worden, dan kan
het toestel de fouten niet correct identificeren.
Een kabe l testen:
1 . Sluit één uiteinde van de testkabel aan op het master-toestel.
2 . Sluit het andere uiteinde van de kabel aan op het remote-
t o e s te l .
3 . Dru k k o rt op de t es tk no p [ 1 ] .
De vo ed i ngs led li ch t 5 se con de n op , om aan te geven dat het
toestel de kabel aan het testen is. Vervang de batterij als de
voed ing sled niet op licht.

Het toestel kan 25 Ω , 5 0 Ω, e n 7 5 Ω-kabels testen.
1 . Sluit één uiteinde van de kabel aan op de BNC-aansluiting.

•Het toestel is uitgerust met een legebatterij-ind ica to r. Ve rv an g de
ba tterij va n zodra de indicator oplicht. Ee n lage batterijspanning
kan leiden tot onjuiste resultat e n .
•De batterij vervangen:
1 . Schuif het batterijdeksel aan de achterkant van het toestel open
en plaats een nieuwe batterij (zie Technische specificaties).
Respecteer de polariteit.
2 . Sluit het ba tterijdeksel.

•De tester is een precisie-testinstrum ent e n, hee ft b ij geb ru ik zoals
beschreven in deze handleiding, geen onderhoud nodig.
•Kalibratie is niet vereist.
•Gebruik een vochtige doek met een m ilde zeepoplossing, om de
behuizing van de tester te reinigen. Gebruik geen schurende
s ch o o nm aa k m idd e len o f che m is ch e o p lo sm id de len d ie de

•Il peut tester à la fois des câbles installés et des cordons de patch

( 6 P6 C) , RJ1 1 ( 6P2C ) , RJ1 0 ( 4P4C).
•L'appareil sert à tester des câbles avec des connexions droites,

réseau croisés ou câbles téléphoniques filaires inversés.

5 . 2 Test er u n câ b le RJ45
Ne jam ais utiliser l'appare il sur des fils sous tension; cela
pourrait causer des chocs électriques ou endommager le
testeur.
Re m arques
•Un seul câble peut être testé à la fois. Par ex em p le , il n 'est p as
possible de tester un câble coaxial et un câble RJ45
sim ultanément.
•Le testeur sert à tester des câbles com plets. I l est possible
qu'aucune erreur ne soit détectée dans des câbles qui sont
intentionnellement incom plets. Par exemple, le câble Ethernet
avec connecteurs RJ45 (conforme à la norm e EIA/TIA-568),
devrait ê tr constitué d e 8 condu cteu rs. I l est p ossible q ue
l'appareil n'identifie pas les erreurs correctement si seulement 4
conducteurs ont été utilisés entre les connecteurs RJ45.
Pou r t es te r u n câ ble :
1 . Connecter une extrém ité du câble de test à la connexion
appropriée de l'appareil maître.

2 . Connecter l'autre extrém ité du câble de test à la connexion
a pp ro p riée l'ap pa r e il rem o t e.
3 . Appuyer et relâcher le bouton de test [1] .
