GUIDELINES FOR TEMPLE MEASUREMENTS
This thermometer is designed to measure the temperature at the forehead, in
proximity to the temple area between the end of the eyebrow and the hairline.
•Do not place the thermometer on scar tissue, skin disorder,
open sores or abrasions, or patients in trauma.
•Consult your physician when using drug therapies that may
elevate skin temperature in the forehead.
•Do not use skin exposed to direct sunlight, replace heat,
air conditioner or fan air ow, or hot/cold compress
therapies.

•f the thermometer has been stored in an excessively cold or
warm environment, allow the thermometer to adjust to the
ambient room temperature before use. Performance and
operation of this unit may be compromised if operated
outside of the specied temperature and humidity
operating ranges.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Press and release the POWER button to activate the
thermometer.
2. The unit will beep and the thermometer will perform a
self-test, showing all of the symbols on the display, Fig 1.
3. The last measurement taken will show on the display.
4. Gently place the probe in the center of the temple area
between the end of the eyebrow and the hairline.
Maintain rm contact with the skin, hold the
thermometer in place during the reading and do not
move the thermometer to ensure reliable results.
5. Do NOT press the power button again. The measurement
will start automatically once the probe is in place and will
take approximately 6-8 seconds. A running circle will
appear on the display indicating the reading is in
progress, Fig 2.
6. The unit will sound one long beep when the
measurement is complete and the reading will appear on the display, Fig 3.
7. To turn the unit off, simply press the POWER button. The unit will automatically
shut-off after approximately one minute.
NOTE: f you take another measurement before 1 minute has elapsed, the device
will perform a 10 to 0 countdown to allow the device to reset for a new
measurement.
DO NOT TRY TO MEASURE DUR NG TH S COUNTDOWN. f you attempt to measure
during the countdown time, the device will display the previous result, beep 8
times and turn itself off automatically.
CHANGING MODES - FAHRENHEIT OR CELSIUS OPERATION
This unit defaults to a Fahrenheit measurement. To change modes:
1. Press and hold the POWER button for approximately
5-seconds.
2. The unit will beep, then the display will indicate the
self-test screen, last measurement and nally will
show only the current mode in the upper right
corner.

•Before use, it is recommended that the patient avoid eating, drinking, smoking
or exercising for at least twenty minutes prior to taking a measurement. Never
walk, run or talk during a measurement.
NORMAL BODY TEMPERATURE AND FEVER
Body temperature can vary from 97°F and 100.0°F and still be considered normal.
The medically accepted ‘normal’ body temperature is 98.6°F Body temperature is
commonly lower in the morning than at any point during the rest of an individual’s
waking hours.
Temperature readings will vary based on the body location point of the reading.
Average ‘normal’ temperature ranges by measurement location site:
Forehead 97.0°F–100.0°F (36.1°C–37.8°C)
Oral 97.0°F–100.0°F (36.1°C–37.8°C)
Rectal 97.3°F–100.4°F (36.3°C–38.0°C)
Axillary 95.4°F–99.0°F (35.2°C–37.2°C)
A fever is dened as a body temperature that is elevated above the normal for that
person. t is important to determine what is normal for an individual before
determining if a fever is present. Tracking an individual’s temperature on a
consistent basis, at the same body site and at the same time everyday when the
person is well or healthy will help determine an individual’s normal temperature.
QUICK START TIPS
1. Press and release the POWER button, wait 2-seconds.
2. Hold unit rmly to temple until a long single beep is heard, 6-8 seconds.
3. Results will be displayed on the screen.
4. Wait one minute before new measurement.
5. To alternate between °F and °C, press and hold the POWER button.
3. Continue to hold the POWER button, the °F or °C will alternate to the desired
mode, either Celsius or Fahrenheit.
4. Release the POWER button. Either proceed with your measurement, or press
and release POWER to shut the unit off.
MEMORY RECALL
This unit includes a recall of the last measurement taken.
When the unit is OFF, press the POWER button to turn the
unit on, and release. After the self-test, the unit will briey
show the last reading on the display.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
This thermometer includes 2 AAA 1.5V batteries. The low-battery symbol will appear
on the top center of the display when the battery needs to be changed.
1. Carefully slide the battery cap away from the unit.
2. Replace the batteries, taking care to match the correct
polarity.
3. Carefully replace the battery cap.
4. Do not dispose of used batteries in the trash. Consult your
local recycling center for the proper way to dispose of
batteries in your area. Keep used batteries away from
children, pets and excessive heat.

The thermometer has been designed to display feedback-warnings to ensure proper
usage and accurate temperature measurement. When an error appears, the device
will "beep" 5 times, and then the thermometer will turn off automatically. n the

Thermometer is covered by the following limited warranty commencing upon the date of purchase, and
subject to the following terms and conditions:
The Warrantor warrants that its Temple Touch Mini Thermometer will be free from defects in materials and
workmanship under normal consumer usage for a period of one year for the original purchaser of the Mini
Temple Thermometer.
Periodic maintenance, repair and replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear are excluded from
coverage. Defects or damage that result from: (a) improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse, accident
or neglect, such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, etc.) to the surface of the product resulting from
misuse; (b) contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or heavy perspiration, sand, dirt or the like,
extreme heat, or food; (c) use of the Temple Touch Mini Thermometer for commercial purposes or
subjecting the Temple Touch Mini Thermometer to abnormal usage or conditions; or (d) other acts which
are not the fault of the Warrantor, are excluded from coverage. This warranty does not cover batteries or
other power sources that may be provided with, or used with the Temple Touch Mini Thermometer.
If the Digital Thermometer fails to conform to this limited warranty, return the Temple Touch Mini
Thermometer to: Attn: Repair Department, 1175 Lakeside Drive, Gurnee, IL, 60031.When
returning a product, please also include: (i) a copy of your receipt, bill of sale or other comparable proof of
purchase; (ii) a written description of the problem; and (iii) your name, address and telephone number.
Carefully package the product to avoid any damage that may occur while in transit; shipping insurance
with returned receipt is recommended. At our option, the warrantor will repair or replace the unit found
to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal consumer usage. The purchaser will be notied
of any additional repairs required prior to completing the repair, and will be responsible for parts charges,

PAUTAS PARA MEDICIONES EN LA SIEN
Este termómetro está diseñado para medir la temperatura en la frente, cerca del área
de la sien entre el borde de la ceja y la línea de nacimiento del cabello.
•No coloque el termómetro en tejido cicatrizado, piel con
afecciones, llagas abiertas o abrasiones, o en pacientes en
trauma.
•Consulte a su médico cuando use farmacoterapias que

•No mida con la piel expuesta a los rayos solares directos,

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
1. Pulse y suelte el botón POWER para activar el
termómetro.
2. La unidad emitirá un beep y el termómetro realizará una
prueba automática donde se mostrarán todos los

3. La última medición tomada se exhibirá en el visor.
4. No presione el botón de encendido nuevamente.
Coloque suavemente la sonda en el centro de la sien,
entre el borde de la ceja y la línea de nacimiento del
cabello. Mantenga rme sobre la piel, sostenga el
termómetro durante la lectura y no lo mueva, de modo
de poder obtener resultados conables.
5. La medición comenzará automáticamente una vez que la
sonda esté colocada y demorará aproximadamente de 6
a 8 segundos. Aparecerá un círculo giratorio en el visor,
indicando que la lectura está en proceso, Fig 2.
6. La unidad emitirá un beep largo cuando la medición
haya nalizado y aparecerá la lectura en el visor, Fig 3.
7. Para apagar la unidad, simplemente presione el botón POWER. La unidad se
apagará en forma automática al cabo de aproximadamente un minuto.
NOTE: Si usted toma otra medida antes de transcurrido 1 minuto, el dispositivo
realizará una cuenta regresiva de 10 a 0 para permitir que el dispositivo
restablecer para una nueva medición.
NO NTENTE MED R DURANTE ESTA CUENTA ATRÁS. Si se intenta medir durante la

TEMPERATURA CORPORAL NORMAL Y FIEBRE
La temperatura corporal puede oscilar entre 97ºF y 100ºF (36° y 37°) y aún considerarse
dentro del intervalo normal. La temperatura corporal ‘normal’, desde el punto de vista
médico, es de 98.6°F (37°). La temperatura corporal comúnmente es más baja en la
mañana que en cualquier otro momento del día en que la persona está despierta.
Las lecturas de la temperatura variarán según la zona del cuerpo donde se tomen.

Se entiende por ebre la temperatura corporal que es más elevada que la normal
para esa persona. Es importante conocer qué es normal para una persona antes de
determinar si tiene ebre. Tomar la temperatura individual en forma constante, en
el mismo lugar del cuerpo y a la misma hora todos los días cuando la persona está
sana, ayuda a determinar cuál es la temperatura normal de esa persona.
CONSEJOS PARA UN RÁPIDO INICIO
1. Oprima y suelte el botón POWER; espera 2 segundos.
2. Sostenga la unidad rmemente en la sien hasta que escuche un solo beep
más largo, de 6 a 8 segundos.
3. Podrá ver los resultados en el visor.
4. Espere un minuto antes de la nueva medición.
5. Para alternar entre °F y °C, mantenga pulsado el botón POWER.

Si el termómetro de Digitaces no puede ajustarse a esta garantía limitada, vuelva termómetro del tacto
del templo el mini a: Attn: Repair Department, 1175 Lakeside Drive, Gurnee, IL, 60031. Cuando
devuelva un producto, por favor incluya además: (i) una copia de su recibo, factura u otro comprobante de
compra; (ii) una descripción por escrito del problema; y (iii) su nombre, dirección y número telefónico.
Embale cuidadosamente el producto para evitar daños mientras está en tránsito; se recomienda contratar
un seguro de envío con acuse de recibo. Según lo que elija, el Warrantor reparará o reemplazará la unidad
