Brief Introduction:
Thank you for purchasing the M7260A 10/100/1000Base Ethernet
media converter. This product supports IEEE802.3U IEEE802.3z
1000Base-Tx/Fx protocol, as well as full duplex and half duplex
mode. The following manual is for your reference.

media converter.

are missing or damaged.
Installation:
1. Interface
The RJ-45 connector supports 10/100/1000Mbps transmission speeds
over Cat5 twisted-pair with typical lengths of 100 meters. In addition,
the RJ-45 connector supports MDI/MDI-X for straight-through or
cross-over cables.
The fiber port supports duplex and simplex 1000Base fiber optic SFP
modules with LC connectors which are sold separately.
When connecting the fiber in a duplex application, be sure that the
transmitter (TX) on one end of the fiber is connected to the receiver
(RX) on the other end of the fiber. For simplex fiber applications
this is not applicable.
2. Connection
The network device (work station, hub or switch) with an RJ-45
interface is connected to the RJ-45 jack of the M7260A using a Cat5
cable. And the multi-mode or single-mode fiber is connected to LC
fiber connector on the SFPmodule.Apply power to the M7260A.

LED Indicators:
LED indicator lamps serve as device monitoring and troubleshooting.
The following is the explanation for each LED indicator lamp.
LED Status Explanation
On Connection status display for link
“ON” indicates proper connection
Link/Act
Blink Active status display of fiber port or RJ-45 port
“Blink” indicates traffic on ports
On Operating in the full duplex mode
FDX Off Operating in the half duplex mode
PWR On Power is on and normal
1000 On 1000Mbps communication on RJ-45
100 On 100Mbps communication on RJ-45
