Wir freuen uns, dass Sie sich für ein InstaRack™ LAN von Vertiv
entschieden haben.
Das InstaRack™ LAN ist neues modulares Rackgehäuse optimiert für
schnelle Montage, einfache Installation und flexible Verkabelung.
Es erfüllt alle Anforderungen an ein Rackgehäuse für Ihre LAN-
Umgebung und bietet alle Vorteile einer einfach zu installierenden
und kosteneffizienten modularen Lösung.
Gültigkeit dieser Anleitung
Diese Anleitung gilt für folgende InstaRack™-Komponenten der
Vertiv Integrated Systems GmbH:

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Komponenten des InstaRacks sind vorgesehen für industrielle
bzw. IT-Anwendungen in Rechenzentren mit trockener Industrieum-
gebung. Die Verwendung z. B. in einem Feuchtraum, im Freien oder
jenseits der IT-Anwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Bei Schäden, die aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung oder
aus eigenmächtigen An- oder Umbauten entstehen, ist jeglicher

We are delighted that you have decided to buy a InstaRack™ LAN
from Vertiv.
The InstaRack™ LAN is new modular rack enclosure optimized for
fast assembly, easy installation and simplified cabling. It is designed
to meet your local area networking (LAN) rack enclosure needs,
offering all of the advantages of an easy to install and cost-effective
modular solution.
Validity of this manual
This document applies to the following InstaRack™ components
from Vertiv Integrated Systems GmbH:
– Doors
– Side panel
– Top cover
– Base frame
– 19" level
Proper usage
The components of the InstaRack are designed for industrial or IT
applications in computer centres with a dry industrial environment.
Their use in other areas, for example in a wet room, outdoors or for
applications other than IT ones shall be deemed improper.
The manufacturer will refuse all warranty and liability claims caused
by improper usage or if components are added or modified without
authorisation.

Safe operation
The InstaRack™ is delivered in perfectly safe working conditions.
Vertiv Integrated Systems GmbH can only guarantee the safety and
reliability and function of the rack if it is assembled, used, extended
and modified as described in this manual.
• Keep this manual for future use.
• Check for external damages before putting into operation! If
damage or some kind of defect is determined, the InstaRack™
may not be operated.
• Have any damage and defects rectified without delay by autho-
rised personnel.
• Do not use the InstaRack™ in damp rooms.
• Assembly, installation and operation start-up only by specialist
personnel.
Only carry out the work described in this manual yourself.
• If a fault occurs please contact the customer service (see 1.5)!
• Refer also to the documentation supplied for connected devices.
Safety instructions
Unpack and install it in a clean environment, free of conductive
contaminants, moisture, flammable liquids, gases and corrosive
substances.

2.2 Transport
Read before transporting to the installation site
• Note the accident prevention regulations when working with a lift
truck or a fork lift truck.
• Place the pallet containing the rack as close as possible to the
installation site.
Vor dem Transport zum Aufstellort beachten
• Unfallverhütungsvorschriften beim Umgang mit Hubwagen oder
Gabelstapler beachten.
• Palette mit dem Schrank möglichst nah am Aufstellort absetzen.

• Remove all the foil and take off the edge protectors.
Waste disposal
All the materials used in the packaging can be recycled.
• Disposal of all waste in an environmentally friendly manner using
local facilities.
• Comply with current regulations relating to environmental protec-
tion and waste disposal.
Remove the strapping from the pallet
• Remove four fastening lugs.
• Remove the strapping if necessary.

• Folie nur über dem Kantenschutz aus Karton aufschneiden.

gen schwerer, sperriger Lasten!
• Beim Anheben des Schrankes immer Arbeitshandschuhe tragen.
• Nur unbestückte Schränke tragen!
• Unbestückten Schrank mindestens mit vier Personen anheben
und tragen (Gewicht ca. 150kg).
• Schwere Lasten immer aus der Hocke, niemals in gebückter
Haltung anheben.

Danger of accidents and damage to health when you carry
heavy, awkward items.
• Always wear gloves when transporting the rack.
• The rack should only be carried when empty!
• At least four people should always lift and carry the empty rack
(weighs approx. 150kg).
• Always use your knees to lift heavy items, not your back.

Maximum load
2.4 Maximale Beladung
Gefahr!
Maximale Gesamtbeladung des InstaRacks beachten:
stationär 550kg, fahrbar 300kg.
Danger!
Do not exceed the maximum load of the InstaRack:
stationary 550 kg, mobile 300 kg.
• Carry the rack to the installation site and position it there.
The rack can also be moved to the installation site using the
optional heavy duty rollers.
• Schrank zum Aufstellort tragen und dort abstellen.
Mit den optionalen Schwerlastrollen kann der Schrank auch zum
Aufstellort gefahren werden.

Alignment
• Align the rack on all three axes with the leveling feet. Use a spirit
level to make sure the rack is exactly level!
Ausrichten
• Schrank in allen drei Achsen mittels der Nivellierfüße ausrichten.
Benutzen Sie dazu eine Wasserwaage.

Proper fitting with self-tapping screws
• The thread in the sheet metal is formed by the tightening of the
screws.
• To avoid any damage to the screw or to the sheet metal pay atten-
tion to a straight insertion of the screw into the hole.
• The screw must be screwed in at an angle of 90° to the mounting
surface.

• Das Gewinde im Blech formt sich durch das Eindrehen der Schrau-
ben selbst.
• Um eine Beschädigung der Schraube oder des Blechs zu vermei-

Vorsicht bei Handhabung der Glastüre!
Tür in einem Winkel von max. 200° öffnen!
Beim Öffnen müssen die Tür festgehalten werden. In kei-
nem Fall dürfen sie mit Schwung geöffnet und losgelassen
werden!

Open the door at an angle of max. 200°!
The door must be firmly held during opening. In no case may
they be opened and released with a swing!

3.2 Einhängen
• Lift the door and place it on the hinges at an angle of 90°.
• Leave the door panel to slide down.
• Reconnect the earth cable if applicable.

• Remove the brackets with door hinges, turn them through 180°

Reverse the door stoppers on the base frame
• Remove the door stoppers, turn them through 180° and reattach
them crosswise on the opposite side of the rack.
• Use the upper part of the double hole on the bracket for mounting.

• The top cover has cable entry points and covers for CoolBlast®
fan unit which can be broken out if needed. Insert the flat-blade
screwdriver close to each connecting rib and break it out carefully
(Figure E). For cable entries on sides (D1) and covers in the middle
(D2), the sequence of breaking out the ribs is arbitrary. But for
front and rear cable entries (D3) the breaking out of the ribs must
be done in a sequence as shown on the Figure F.
• Der Deckel verfügt über herausbrechbare Kabeleinführungen und
Abdeckungen für CoolBlast®-Lüftereinheit. Bei Bedarf können
diese entfernt werden. Schlitzschraubendreher in der Nähe von
jedem Steg einstecken und vorsichtig ausbrechen (Bild E). Bei
seitlichen Kabeleinführungen (D1) und mittleren Abdeckungen
(D2) ist die Reihenfolge des Ausbrechens der Stege beliebig. Bei
vorderen und hinteren Kabeleinführungen (D3) muss das Ausbre-
chen der Stege in der Reihenfolge wie in Bild F erfolgen.

CoolBlast®fan unit installation
The top cover is prepared for mounting the CoolBlast®fan units
(3 fans, 6 fans). Depending on the rack depth and installation depth,
CoolBlast®with 3 or 6 fans can be installed. Before installing the
CoolBlast®fan units the covers in the top cover (A1, A2) must be
removed (see 5.2 – page 18). The following table applies:
