Produ t Overview
The VIA ARTiGO A600 is an ultra slim and ompletely fanless embedded
system using VIA VAB-600 Pi o ITX board powered by WM8950 Cortex A9
Single-Core 800MHz pro essor with built-in 3D/2D graphi s engine and video
multi-standard de oder. It is ompletely ompatible with Linux Kernel 3.0.8
operating system.
The ARTiGO A600 is optimized for both power and performan e with a wide
operating temperature range from 0°C to 60°C, while offering very low power
onsumption of typi al 5W. It also supports multiple I/O onne tors in the
rear panel su h as mini USB 2.0 ports, mini HDMI
®
port, Mi ro SD ard slot,
Fast Ethernet LAN port, COM onne tor and DIO onne tor for diversified
embedded appli ations. In addition, the ARTiGO A600 offers four COM
onne tors for RS-485 mode interfa e in the front panel, and onboard
onne tors su h as SPI onne tor, SIM ard so ket, miniPCIe slot for 3G and
WLAN onne tor for USB module (VNT9271).
1.1. Key Features
1.1.1. ARM Based System
Using a single- ore WM8950 Cortex A9 800MHz pro essor, the VIA ARTiGO
A600 provides a full range of feature-ri h, extremely power-effi ient, and
ost-effe tive solutions that are suitable for the fast-emerging, ultra-portable
embedded omputing appli ations.
1.1.2. Ultra Slim and Spa e Saving
The ARTiGO A600 has an ultra slim hassis, designed to save spa e that makes
it suitable to install in spa e riti al environment and to ensure maximum
reliability. Its hassis design has a robust aluminum alloy top over and steel
bottom hassis.
1.1.3. Optimize Integration with Multiple I/O A ess
Front and rear I/O panel, and bottom a ess enable the ARTiGO A600 to
easily support various appli ations as well as for easy integration and qui k
setup.

1.1.4. Storage Expansion
ARTiGO A600 has an onboard 4GB eMMC flash storage and a Mi ro SD ard
slot for expandable storage.
1.1.5. Mounting Solution
The ARTiGO A600 supports multiple methods for mounting; it an be
mounted to VESA mountable surfa es or even to wall with the VESA
mounting kit (optional).
1.1.6. Wide Range of Operating Temperatures
The ARTiGO A600 arries a qualified thermal performan e design whi h
allows a wide range of operating temperatures from 0°C ~ 60°C, suitable for
riti al appli ations.
1.1.7. Networking Support
The ARTiGO A600 is equipped with RJ-45 port that supports high speed Fast
Ethernet. It also has a wireless networking option that gives the system a
freedom of 3G through mini PCIe slot, and WiFi onne tivity through onboard
WLAN(WiFi) onne tor.
1.1.8. Embedded OS ready
The ARTiGO A600 is 100% ompatible with Linux Kernel 3.0.8 operating
system.

The ARTiGO A600 has two Mini USB 2.0 ports lo ated on the rear I/O panel.
The Mini USB 2.0 interfa e port gives omplete Plug and Play and hot swap
apability for external devi es and it omplies with USB UHCI, rev. 2.0. The
