In the control settings, add a
control and configure as
shown. Set the baud rate*
and internal comm address
to the same address as used
for the Keypad in step 1. In
this example PTZ cameras
are addressed as 1-16 so the
keypad has been set to 17.
Check the Auto start box if
the Keypad is to be on-line
from start up

Finally to bring the Keypad on-line click on
the control button on the main GUI. Select
the unit to which the Keypad is connected
and click on the Vicon Keypad .dll.
The Keypad should now be shown as on-line
with 1300 displayed on the Keypad. Joystick
control of the selected PTZ camera will then
be possible.
Important Note: Only PTZ functions are
possible in this configuration. The other
Keypad buttons are not operational.
*The baud rate can be set to 2400, 4800 or 9600 as long as the PC and the keypad settings
match. In practise 2400 appears to give the most stable performance.
