What is AurorANet?
AurorANet is a proprietary 2-wire RS-485 protocol used to communicate between Vicon devices such as AurorA2000
multiplexers, AurorAcorD digital recorders, System Consoles and V800MIU-3A Multi-Output Interface Devices.
The system controller polls all of the other devices on the AurorANet. There must always be one system controller, but there
cannot be more than one. The system controller can be physically connected anywhere in the AurorANet communications line
(it may be the first device, in the middle or at end of the line). The system controller may be any AurorANet device except for
the V800MIU-3A. Define one device to be the system controller as discussed below. For devices with software configuration,
follow the Menu Paths as shown.
Locate pole 8 of SW1
on the keyboard bottom
panel. Set pole 8 ON if
the keyboard will be the
system controller. Set
pole 8 OFF if the
keyboard is not the
system controller.

To maintain the proper voltage level on the AurorANet, you must define the position of each device in the communications line. The first and last
devices must be set to "end-of-line". All of your other devices must be defined as "not end-of-line".
Jumpers located on the bottom of the keyboard are used to
define end-of-line settings.
How do I define the "end-of-line"?
