Installing the V1512MM-A with the VM5093 and VM6092
The V1512MM-A may be mounted directly to a rigid overhead support or suspended from the V1512WM
Mounting Adapter. If the unit is to be used with the V1512WM, proceed through the following steps 1-11. If the
unit is to be mounted to a rigid overhead support, proceed through steps 1-13. Refer to Figure 3.
1. Remove the monitor mounting channels that are taped to the monitor mount frame for shipping.
2. Locate the four Z brackets and hardware packed with the mount.
3. Turn the monitor over on a clean work space. Remove the feet.
4. Using the same screws, mount the Z brackets onto the monitor through the small unthreaded hole,
positioning them so that the monitor mounting channels can be attached to them. Tighten securely. The Z
brackets can be positioned to face in either direction in the channel.
Caution: Assure that the screws do not protrude into the monitor more than originally, when using the feet. If
they do, use washers under the screw heads to prevent this.
5. Install the U channel to the Z brackets with the U facing up (away from the monitor bottom) using the 1/4-20
screws, lock washers and flat washers provided.
6. Install the rubber protective strips to the monitor side supports. Refer to Figure 3.
7. Loosen slightly the two large pan head screws on the top frame member and spread the two halves of the
mount apart to allow space for the monitor.
8. Unscrew both tilt control knobs completely and reassemble, selecting appropriate holes in the side and
lower mount members to adjust the height of the mount to fit the monitor. Use supplied washers as
necessary for proper fit. Allow approximately 2 to 2-1/2 inches clearance at the top of the monitor for tilt
adjustment.
9. Turn the monitor on its back and fit the monitor mount around it, attaching the lower mount member to the U
channels using the 1/4-20, 5/8 inch long screws and flat washers provided. Do not fully tighten the screws.
10. Adjust the mount for proper tilt angle and tighten tilt control knobs. Move the monitor forward and backward
until proper balance is achieved and tighten the channel screws.
11. Slide the side members of the mount in until the rubber strips on the side supports are firmly against the
monitor. Tighten the large pan head screws on the top member.
If the unit is being mounted to the V1512WM, attach the V1512MM-A with the 5/16 x 1-1/2 inch bolt, lock
washer and nut provided with the V1512WM. Place the two 1-3/4 inch spacers provided with the V1512MM-A
between the L bracket and the monitor.
If the unit is being mounted to a rigid overhead support, continue through step 15.
12. Determine the material of the overhead support. If it is wood, drill a 7/32-inch pilot hole in the overhead
support. If the overhead support is concrete, install a 5/16 lead screw anchor. If the support is steel, drill an
11/32-inch hole.
13. Fasten the monitor and mount assembly to the overhead support with the appropriate hardware, 5/16 x 2-
inch lag screw for a wood or concrete support or a 5/16-inch bolt of suitable length with washer, lock washer
and nut for steel support.
This completes the assembly of the VM5093 and VM6092 monitors in the V1512MM-A monitor mount.
