MODELS V24WM AND V36WM, HEAVY-DUTY WALL MOUNTS
GENERAL
SCOPE

The information in this instruction manual
covers the installation of Models V24WM and
V36WM Heavy-Duty Wall Mounts, as well as
their Associated Equipment and Accessories.
INTRODUCTION
Models V24WM and V36WM Heavy-Duty Wall
Mounts are designed to support pan-and-tilt
drives, scanners, camera/lens systems, and
environmental housings with total camera
station load ratings of up to 200 pounds
(91 kg)* for the V24WM and 130 pounds (59 kg)
for the V36WM. These industrial, outdoor units
are constructed of corrosion-protected steel.

MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
Model V24CMB Corner Mounting Bracket: For
corner mounting capabilities.
Models V24S and V36S Support Struts:
Provide added strength for heavy loads.
Model V2OA Pole Mounting Adapter:
Accommodates pole diameters from four to 10
inches (10.2 cm to 25.4 cm). See instruction
manual X532.
ADJUSTABLE HEADS
Model V2400AH: Provides fixed heavy-duty
wall mounts with repositioning capabilities.
V24WM WALL MOUNT
Model V30AH: Provides extra support for
the heaviest loads.
INSTALLATION
Note: USC staitlless steel hardware for all
outdoor mounls.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Bolts should preferably extend through the
structure with nuts and washers used on the
opposite side. Studs should be either
anchored in concrete or welded to steel. If
the mount is to be attached to a blind
structure, make certain that the fasteners
used have a minimum pull-out strength of
1500 lb each. (Never use lag screws in the
end grain of wood.)

V24WM and V36WM Wall Mounts
To install either the V24WM or the V36WM
Wall Mount, secure the steel base to the wall
with four 3/8-in. lag screws or hex bolts (or
studs). See Figure 1.
When the mounting surface does not provide
adequate strength for the wall mount, order
the Model V24S Support Strut for use with
the V24WM Wall Mount. See Figure 2.
The V24CMB Corner Mounting Bracket is
available for corner installation. See

Note: Use stainless steel hardware for all
outdoor installations.
V24CMB Corner Mounting Bracket
1. Secure the corner mounting bracket to
the structure with eight 5/16-in. lag screws
or hex bolts (or studs), using the appropriate
dimensions shown on Figure 3.
1. Attach the Y-shaped wall mount support
flange to the wall mount using four NO. 8
screws (supplied). See Figure 3.
2. Secure the base flange of the strut to the
wall surface with three l/4-in. lag screws or
hex bolts (or studs), following the
recommendations in the General Instructions.
2. Secure the wall mount base plate to the
face of the corner mounting bracket with four
3/8-in. x l-in. hex bolts, nuts and washers.

ADJUSTABLE HEADS
V30AH Adjustable Head
The V30AH Heavy-Duty Adjustable Head is a
2-piece pedestal assembly with baseplate.
1. To install the V30AH, secure the baseplate
to the appropriate wall or column mount with
four 3/8-in. hex bolts and nuts (not included).
2. Fit the mounting hole of the pedestal unit
over the l/2-in. baseplate stud. See Figure 4.
3. Attach l/2-in. washer and nut (supplied)

V2400AH Adjustable Head
The V2400AH Adjustable Head consists of three
parts: a circular base, a platform, and a
clamping piece, plus related hardware.
The V2400AH may be packed in either one of
two ways. In one, a 3/8-in. reusable hex
bolt is used to retain the base, platform, and
clamp in proper relation to each other. The
stamped hex nut, however, is not to be used in
mounting the unit and should be discarded. In
the other type of packaging, a 3/8-in. hex
bolt and washer are packed in a separate bag.
1. To install the V2400AH, remove the bolt and
washer from the adjustable head (if this
packing method has been used), or from the
separate bag. Slide the washer onto the bolt
up to the head, and insert the bolt through
the clamp and base. The washer prevents the
bolt head from recessing into the clamp. The
threaded portion of the bolt will protrude
about 3/8-inch from the bottom of the circular
base.
2. Align the adjustable head in the desired
direction.
3. Thread the bolt into the threaded hole in
the appropriate wall or column mount. Tighten

the bolt finger tight, followed by an
additional l/2 turn. See Figure 5.
CAUTION: Further tightening could damage the
unit. Do not overtighten.
MAINTENANCE
The V24WM and V36WM Wall Mounts and
Associated Equipment do not require
maintenance.
