INSTRUCTIONS FOR
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
MODELS V2400WM AND V2400AWM HEAVY-DUTY WALL MOUNTS
GENERAL
SCOPE
The information in this instruction manual
covers the installation of Models V2400WM and
V2400AWM Heavy-Duty Wall Mounts, as well as
Associated Equipment and Accessories.
INTRODUCTION
Models V2400WM and V2400AWM Heavy-Duty
Wall Mounts are designed to support pan-
and-tilt drives, scanners, camera/lens
systems, and environmental housings with total
camera station load ratings of up to 200 pounds
(91 kg) for the V2400WM and 100 pounds (45 kg)
for the V2400AWM. These industrial, outdoor
units are constructed of weatherproof aluminum
or corrosion-protected steel.

Model V2400CMB Corner Mounting Bracket:
For corner mounting capabilities.
Model V24OOS Support Strut: Provides
added strength for heavy loads. Can be used
alone or with corner mounting bracket.
Model V20A Pole Mounting Adapter:
Accommodates pole diameters from 4 to 10
inches (10.2 cm to 25.4 cm).

V2400WM WALL MOUNT
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Bolts should preferably extend through the
structure with nuts and washers used on the
opposite side. Studs should be either
anchored in concrete or welded to steel. If
the mount is to be attached to a blind
structure, make certain that the fasteners
used have a minimum pull-out strength of 1500
pounds each. (Never use lag screws in the end
grain of wood.)
V2400WM AND V2400AWM WALL MOUNTS
To install either the V2400WM or V2400AWM Wall
Mount, secure the base to the wall with four
3/8-inch lag screws or hex bolts (or studs).
See Figure 1.
When the mounting surface does not provide
adequate strength for the wall mount, use
Model V24OOS Support Strut. The V2400CMB
Corner Mounting Bracket is available for
corner installations. See Figure 2.
NOTE: Use stainless steel hardwase for all
outdoor- mounts.

MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
V2400CMB Corner Mounting Bracket
1. Secure the corner mounting bracket to the
structure with eight 5/16-inch lag screws or
hex bolts (or studs), using the appropriate
dimensions shown on Figure 2.
2. Secure the wall mount base plate to the
face of the corner mounting bracket with four
3/&inch hex bolts, nuts, and washers.
V24OOS Support Strut
To install directly to a wall surface:
1. Detach the end cap from the installed wall
mount by removing the three screws.
2. Slide the l/4-inch bolt (supplied) into
the groove (8, Figure 3) at the bottom
of the wall mount.
3. Loosely attach the front end of the strut
to the bolt with the nut (supplied).
4. Align the rear end of the strut to the
correct wall location using the appropriate
dimensions shown on Figure 2 and mark the
wall at that point.
5. Secure the support strut to the mounting
location with a 5/16-inch fastener or anchor,
following the recommendations in the General
Instructions. Tighten both bolts.
6. Replace the end cap and three screws.
To install the strut to a corner:
1. Secure the corner strut bracket to the
structure using four 5/16-inch bolts (or
studs), following the recommendations in the
General Instructions and using the appropriate
dimensions shown in Figure 2.

2. Follow the instructions above for
attaching the front end of the strut to the
wall mount, which should be already secured to
a V2400CMB Corner Mounting Bracket.
3. Attach the rear end of the strut to the
face of the corner strut bracket using a
l/4-inch nut and bolt.
4. Tighten the attached hardware and replace
the end cap and the three screws.
V2400AH ADJUSTABLE HEAD
For the V2400AWM
The V2400AH Adjustable Head consists of three
parts: a circular base, a platform, and a
clamping piece, plus related hardware.
The V2400AH may be packed in either one of
two ways. In one, a 3/&inch reusable hex
bolt is used to retain the base, platform, and
clamp in proper relation to each other. The
stamped hex nut, however, is not to be used in
mounting the unit and should be discarded. In
the other type of packaging, a 3/8-inch hex
bolt and washer are packed in a separate bag,

1. To install the V2400AH, remove the bolt and
washer from the adjustable head (if this
packing method has been used), or from the
separate bag. Slide the washer onto the bolt
up to the head, and insert the bolt through
the clamp and base. The washer prevents the
bolt head from recessing into the clamp. The
threaded portion of the bolt will protrude
about 3/8-inch from the bottom of the circular
base.
2. Align the adjustable head in the desired
direction.
3. Thread the bolt into the threaded hole in
the mount. Tighten the bolt finger tight,
followed by an additional half turn. See
Figure 4.
CAUTION: Further tightening could damage the
wit. Do not overtighten.
MAINTENANCE
The V2400WM and V2400AWM Wall Mounts and
Associated Equipment do not require
maintenance.
