Introduction
The information in this instruction manual covers the installation of Model V2000WM Medium-Duty Outdoor Wall
Mount. This unit should only be installed by a qualified technician using approved materials in accordance with
national, state and local codes. Read this manual through completely before attempting installation.
The V2000WM Medium-Duty Outdoor Wall Mount is designed to support camera stations weighing up to a total
of 35 lb (16 kg), including pan-and-tilt or scanner, camera/lens system, and housing. Constructed of molded
Lexan, the V2000WM is suitable for outdoor applications. This unit accepts an optional adjustable head (Model
V2400AH) which provides full 360-degree rotation and a maximum of ± 60-degree tilt angle. If pole mounting is
necessary, the V20A Pole Mounting Adapter is available (see instruction manual X532).
Installation
Note: Use stainless steel hardware for all outdoor mountings.
Bolts or screws should extend through the structure with nuts and washers used on the opposite side. If the
mount must be attached to a blind structure with no access to the rear, make certain that the fasteners or studs
used have a minimum pull-out strength of 400 lb each. Studs should either be anchored in concrete or welded to
steel. (Never use lag screws in the end grain of wood.)

V2000WM Wall Mount
To install the Model V2000WM wall mount, secure the base to the wall with at least four ¼-in. (7 mm) lag screws
or bolts. See Figure 1. Do not overtighten screws. Pull screws snug and then tighten ½ turn beyond snug
position. There are three additional knock-out holes that can be used as required. There is a feed-through hole
for routing cable through the mount. A bushing is supplied to prevent deterioration of the cable.

V2400AH Adjustable Head
The V2400AH Adjustable Head consists of three parts: a circular base, a platform, and a clamping piece, plus
related hardware (3/8 in. hex bolt and washer). Refer to Figure 2.
1. Remove the bolt and washer from the accessory bag. Slide the washer onto the bolt up to the head, and
insert the bolt through the clamp and base. The washer prevents the bolt head from recessing into the
clamp. The threaded portion of the bolt protrudes about 3/8-inch (0.95 cm)from the bottom of the circular
base.
2. Align the adjustable head in the desired direction.
3. Thread the bolt into the threaded hole in the mount. Tighten the bolt finger tight, followed by an additional ½
turn.

Caution: Further tightening could damage the unit. Do not overtighten.

Maintenance
Model V2000WM does not require any maintenance other than to clean out the drainage holes periodically (refer
to Figure 1).

Use the following procedure when returning a unit to the factory:
1. Call or write Vicon for a Return Authorization (R.A.) at one of the locations listed below. Record the name of
the Vicon employee who issued the R.A.

2. Attach a sheet of paper to the unit with the following information:
a. Name and address of the company returning the unit
b. Name of the Vicon employee who issued the R.A.
c. R. A. number
d. Brief description of the installation
e. Complete description of the problem and circumstances under which it occurs
f. Unit’s original date of purchase, if still under warranty
3. Pack the unit carefully. Use the original shipping carton or its equivalent for maximum protection.
4. Mark the R.A. number on the outside of the carton on the shipping label.
