Victorinox NIGHT VISION II User manual

NIGHT VISION II
The Night Vision II watch makes use of
Light Emitting Diode (LED) for its flashlight
and soft dial lighting. LEDs last longer than
conventional incandescent bulbs, and are
more durable and energy-efficient.
Please note that the battery life
of the lighting functions is
significantly reduced with greater
use.

SETTING THE DATE AND THE TIME
PULL-OUT CROWN
A. Pull out the crown to the middle position (2).
B. Turn the crown away from you until the date showing is the day
before the desired setting.
C. Pull out the crown to the fully extended position (3) and rotate
toward you. When midnight is reached, the date will advance to
the desired date. Continue to turn the crown until the desired
time is set. Remember that the date advances at 12.00 midnight
not 12.00 noon.
D. Push back the crown in to its normal position (1). The date and the
time are now set.

2. Extended Light Mode
Two quick pushes of the pusher activates the
white LED. Light will automatically de-
activate after 2 minutes, or you can turn light
off by pressing the pusher once.
3. Signal Mode
Three quick pushes of the pusher will cause
the white LED light to strobe (150 p/min.) for 2
minutes. To deactivate prior 2 minutes, press
pusher once.
4. Intense Signal Mode
Holding the pusher for 5 seconds will activate
an intensified LED strobe that flashes contin-
uously. Intense signal mode is brighter than
normal Signal Mode flashing (60 p/min.). To
deactivate, press pusher for 5 seconds.

LIGHTING FUNCTIONS
1. Dial Illumination Mode
One quick push of the pusher will activate
the soft blue LED light. The angle of the
light directs it to reflect off the crystal for
maximum visibility of the dial and hands.
Note: During the Dial Illumination Mode,
please note that the other lighting functions
(2-3-4) cannot be activated.

WATER RESISTANCE
Please check the indication of water resistance on the case back of
your Victorinox Swiss Army watch and carefully read the corre-
sponding explanation from the following list:

5. Locator Mode
Red LED locator beacon is positioned at the 6 o’clock marker and
blinks once every 10 seconds. An easy way to find your timepiece.
6. Battery End of Life Mode (EOL)
Red LED locator beacon positioned at the 6 o’clock marker will flash
3 times every 10 seconds indicating lighting batteries should be
changed.
7. Battery Consumption
Your Night Vision II timepiece has a built-in feature to protect battery
consumption if the pusher used to operate the LED is accidentally
pressed (for example in luggage or coat pocket, etc.). If the pusher is
pressed for more than 30 consecutive seconds, the lighting feature
will shut off automatically.

Water-resistant to 30 meters
(100 feet/3 ATM). Will with-
stand rain or splashes of
water but should not be worn
while showering, swimming
or diving.
Water-tested to 50 meters
(165 feet/5 ATM). Suitable
for showering or swim-
ming in shallow water.
Water-tested to 100 meters
(330 feet/10 ATM). Suitable
for swimming or snorkeling.
Water-tested to 200 meters
(660 feet/20 ATM). Suitable
for swimming, snorkeling
or skin diving.
Water-tested to 300 meters
(990 feet/30 ATM). Suitable
for swimming, snorkeling
or scuba diving.
Water-tested to 500 meters
(1,650 feet/50 ATM). Suitable
for swimming, snorkeling
or scuba diving.
BATTERY
Lighting – The lighting module of your Night Vision II watch oper-
ates off of a separate battery power source (1 battery cell - 3 volt
Lithium batteries CR 2032).
Watch Movement – The watch movement is powered by a 1.55 volt
silver oxide watch battery. When the battery is low, the second hand
will effect four second jumps. Worn Batteries should be replaced
immediately. It is recommended to use original batteries. Battery
change should be performed by a qualified technician who should
also check the condition of the gaskets at the same time. Battery is
not covered by the warranty.
Please use an authorized Victorinox Swiss Army service center in
the event either the light module or watch battery requires replace-
ment.
