These instructions are exclusively inten-
ded for qualified contractors.
Installation and commissioning as well
as repairs and service work may only be
carried out by a licensed contractor or a
qualified person in compliance with all
safety regulations. This person must first
check whether the electrical system in
the building complies with the applicable
standards. The responsibility of the
manufacturer is limited to the delivery of
the appliance.
This appliance can also be operated by
children aged 8 and older, as well as by
individuals with reduced physical, sen-
sory or mental faculties or those lacking
in experience and knowledge, provided
such individuals are supervised or have
been instructed in the safe use of this
appliance and any risks arising from it.

Work on the appliance
■Work on electrical equipment may only
be carried out by a qualified electrician.
■Only connect appliances to correctly
installed sockets.
■When working on the appliance, dis-
connect the power plug.
■Isolate the appliance from the power
supply (e.g. by removing the separate
fuse or by means of a mains isolator)
and check that it is no longer live.
■Safeguard the appliance against
reconnection.

Operation of the appliance
Danger
Damaged equipment poses a
safety hazard.
Check the appliance for external
damage. Never start up a damaged
appliance.
■The appliance may only be operated in
its original condition without modifica-
tions and in perfect technical condition.
All protection equipment must work
faultlessly and be freely accessible.
■To prevent the appliance overheating,
do not cover it.
■Children younger than the age of 3
must be kept away from the appliance
unless they are constantly supervised.
Children between the ages of 3 and 8
may only switch the appliance on and
off if they are supervised or have been
instructed in the safe use of the appli-
ance and have understood the result-
ing risks, provided that the appliance is
placed or installed in its normal posi-
tion of use. Children between the ages
of 3 and 8 must not plug the appliance
into a wall socket, regulate the appli-
ance, clean the appliance or carry out
maintenance.

sioned once it has been installed.
■The appliance must not be used in the
immediate vicinity of a bathtub, shower
or swimming pool.
■The appliance must not be used in
small rooms inhabited by persons who

Intended use
The appliance may only be used for its intended pur-
pose in areas where the occupants can leave the
rooms independently or where constant monitoring is
ensured.
It is intended exclusively for room heating.
Using the appliance if it is not installed or for any pur-
pose other than room heating shall be deemed inap-
propriate.
Intended use presupposes that a permanent installa-
tion in conjunction with permissible components
designed for this purpose has been carried out.
The appliance should be able to radiate freely into the
room.
The appliance must not be used in the immediate
vicinity of a bathtub, shower or swimming pool.
All other use is deemed inappropriate. Any resulting
losses are excluded from the manufacturer's liability.
Any usage beyond this must be approved by the man-
ufacturer in each individual case.
Intended use also includes adherence to maintenance
and inspection intervals.

Danger
The appliance may fall off the wall if unsuitable
fixing materials are used. This may result in dan-
gerous injuries and damage to the appliance.
Secure the appliance only with the mounting
brackets for wall mounting included in the stand-
ard delivery.
Only use screws and rawl plugs that are suitable
for the type of wall (masonry, concrete, plaster-
board, etc.).

Installation on uneven surfaces can cause dam-
age to the heating surface due to stress.
Only fit the appliance to level walls.
Standard delivery for wall mounting:
■2 x mounting brackets
■4 x hexagon screws M8 x 16

Danger
If the appliance is operated without maintaining
the minimum clearances, flammable objects
may catch fire.
Observe the specified minimum clearances.
Note
When installing the appliance in bathrooms, observe
the safety zones according to DIN VDE 0100 part 701!

Horizontal or vertical installation is possible.
Installation room requirements

Impermissible ambient conditions can lead to
damage to the appliance (risk of overheating)
and to a fire hazard.
■Do not use the appliance in the immediate
vicinity of a bathtub, shower or swimming pool.
■Do not install the appliance directly below a
wall socket.
■The appliance must not be used in small
rooms inhabited by persons who cannot leave
the room independently, unless constant moni-
toring is ensured.

1. Select the position for the mounting brackets
depending on the product type and installation
type. See page 9 onwards.
2. Mark the drill holes using a spirit level and drilling
template (standard delivery).

4. Secure the mounting brackets using suitable rawl
plugs and screws.
Danger
The appliance may fall off the wall if unsuita-

5. Place the infrared heater on the mounting bracket
and secure with screws.
!Please note
Mechanical stress on the surface, e.g. if
people or objects lean against it, can lead to
damage.
Prevent force being applied to the surface.

Danger
Incorrect wiring can lead to serious injury from
electrical current and result in appliance dam-
age.
Connection to wall junction boxes must only be
carried out by qualified contractors.
Danger
A damaged connecting cable can lead to electric
shock and short circuit.
Check the connecting cable for damage before
installation.
On the installation side, install an omnipolar isolator
with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm in the
permanent electrical installation in accordance with the
installation regulations.
Note
The connecting cable can be extended with a cable of
type H05VV-F3G 1.5 mm².
A direct connection to the appliance is not possible.
Connection with standard plug
Danger
A damaged connecting cable can lead to electric
shock and short circuit.
Check the connecting cable for damage before
installation.
Correctly connect the supplied connecting cable with
plug to the junction box.
Commissioning and instructing the user
Commissioning and user instruction must be carried
out by the contractor performing the installation. The
operator must be instructed as to how the radiant
heater works and in particular be informed about the
minimum clearances to be observed.

Viessmann products can be recycled. Components
and substances from the system are not part of ordi-
nary household waste.
For decommissioning the system, isolate the system
from the power supply and allow components to cool
down where appropriate.
All components must be disposed of correctly.
