Pressure Regulator:
• All heavy- uty, commercial type cooking
equipment must have a pressure regulator
on the incoming service line for safe an
efficient operation, since service pressure
may fluctuate with local eman . External
regulators are not require on this oven
since a regulator is built into each unit at
the factory. Un er no con ition bypass
this built-in regulator.
• Manifol pressure shoul be checke with
a manometer, natural gas requires 5.0”
W.C.P. an LP gas requires 10.0” W.C.P.
Incoming line pressure upstream from the
regulator must be 1” W.C.P. higher than
the manifol pressure in or er to check
the regulator. The regulator use on these
ovens can withstan a maximum input
pressure of 1/2” PSI (14.0” W.C.P.). I the
line pressure is in excess o 1/2” PSI
(14.0” W.C.P.), a step down regulator
will be required.
• The appliance must be isconnecte from
the gas supply piping system uring any
pressure testing of that system.
Flexible Connections:
If the unit is to be installe with flexible
couplings an /or quick- isconnect fittings,
the installer must use a heavy- uty AGA
esign-certifie flexible connector of at least
1/2” (1.3 cm) ID NPT (with suitable strain
reliefs) in compliance with ANSI Z21.41
an Z21.69.
Rigid Connections:

• Incoming gas from the service supply is
brought from an intake pipe (not supplie )
to the back center of the unit through the
shut-off valve (not supplie ) to the
regulator. (See “Cutout Dimensions
section for gas inlet location.)
36”W.
• Incoming gas is brought from an intake
pipe (not supplie ) to the lower right
center of the unit to the pressure
regulator. The only connection
necessary is from the service supply,
through the shut-off valve (not supplie )
to this intake pipe (not supplie ) to the
regulator. (See “Cutout Dimensions
section for gas inlet location.)
In Canada: CAN 1-6, 10-88 metal
connectors for gas appliances an CAN
1-6.9 M79 quick isconnect evices for use
with gas fuel.
In Massachusetts: This appliance must be
installe with a 36” (3-foot) long flexible
gas connector.

Before placing the oven into operation,
always check for gas leaks with a soapy

Electrical Requirements

3-wire, 120 VAC/60 Hz. See “Connecting
Gas & Electrical section for grounding
instructions.
Gas Connection
The gas supply (service) line must be the
same size or greater than the inlet line of the
appliance. This oven uses a 1/2” (1.3 cm) ID
NPT (Sch40) inlet. Sealant on all pipe joints
must be resistive to LP gas.
These ovens are designed speci ically or
natural gas or liquid propane (LP) gas. It is
shipped rom the actory adjusted or use
with natural or propane (LP) gas. Be ore
beginning installation veri y that the
model is compatible with the intended
gas supply.
Manual shut-o valve:
This installer-supplie valve must be installe
in the gas service line before the appliance
in the gas stream an in a location where it
can be reache quickly in the event of
an emergency.
In Massachusetts: A “T” han le type
manual valve must be installe in the gas
supply line to the appliance.
IMPORTANT: Any conversion required
must be per ormed by your dealer or a
quali ied licensed plumber or gas service
company. Please provi e the service person
with this manual before work begins.

General Information
READ AND FOLLOW ALL WARNING

INSTALLING THIS APPLIANCE.

Moving, Handling, and Unpacking
Remove an iscar all packing materials,

an insi e of the ovens.
Some stainless steel parts may have a plastic
protective wrap which must be peele off.
The interior shoul be washe thoroughly
with hot, soapy water to remove film
resi ues an any ust or ebris before being
use , then rinse an wipe ry. Solutions
stronger than soap an water are rarely
nee e .
Recommendations or Unpacking
• Pro ucts are shippe on pallets with foam
footings an corrugate inner-packing an
exterior hoo s.
• Pro ucts are anchore to the pallet using
metal straps that are screwe to the
bottom of the pro uct an the pallet.
•DO NOT remove protective packaging
until you are rea y to perform the
installation.
• To remove the packaging, first remove the
staples locate at the bottom perimeter of
the corrugate cover.
• Remove the corrugate cover by lifting it
off the pro uct an remove the inner-
packing.
• Detach the pro uct from the metal anchor
strip by removing the attachment screw.
Recommendations or Moving
• The appliance is heavy – use extreme care
when han ling!
• Only proper equipment shoul be use to
move pro ucts.
•ALWAYS take steps to protect flooring at
the installation location when moving
pro ucts.

Place bottom oven on a protecte area near the
cabinet. Remove 2” hole knockout from oven top.
Remove access panel from oven si e an
pipe plug from pipe tee.
Attach male connector to pipe tee. Fee flex tubing
through 2” hole an attach to the male connector.
Replace access panel. Push lower oven straight into cabinet.
Note: Purchase necessary gas kit – IKD-VGSO.

Final Preparation
1. Some stainless steel parts may have a
plastic protective wrap, which must be
peele off. All stainless steel bo y parts
shoul be wipe with hot soapy water
an with liqui cleaner esigne for this
material. If buil -up occurs, o not use
steel wool, abrasive cloths, cleaners or
pow ers! If it is necessary to scrape
stainless steel to remove encruste
materials, soak with hot, wet cloths to
loosen the material, then use a woo or
nylon scraper. DO NOT use a metal knife,
spatula, or any other metal tool to scrape
stainless steel! Scratches are almost
impossible to remove.

thoroughly with hot, soapy water to
remove film resi ues an installation
ebris before being use for foo
preparation, then rinse an wipe ry.

rarely nee e .

Performance Checklist
A qualifie installer shoul carry out the

1. Check oven bake function–bake burner on
full power. Tubular bake burner shoul
reignite on both si es. Convection bake
function–bake burners the same with the
convection fan on.
2. Check oven broil function–infrare broil
screen shoul glow. Covection broil function
is the same with convection fan on.
3. Check air shutter a justment; sharp blue
flame, no yellow tipping, no sooting, no
flame lifting.
4. Check for gas leaks (o or) at all gas
conversions.
