Programming
To access programming, call into the RAD-AMP. After the RAD-AMP answers and a single beep is heard, enter the
security code. The security code has been factory set to 845464 (V-I-K-I-N-G). The RAD-AMP will beep twice
indicating that programming has been accessed. Alternatively, programming can be accessed by allowing the RAD-
AMP to call you back. After a beep is heard, enter a “Q” followed by the security code.
Notes: It is recommended that the factory set security code be changed. While programming, if 20 seconds elapse
between Touch Tones, the RAD-AMP will disconnect. All valid Touch Tone programming sequences are acknowledged
with a double beep. A triple beep indicates that a mistake has been made.
Operation
When an inbound call of less than 5 rings is detected, the RAD-AMP will automatically call the preprogrammed phone
number. If the line is busy, the RAD-AMP will redial that number a programmable number of times. To stop busy
redialing before the programmable parameter is met, answer the call, enter a Touch Tone Q, and hang up. When the
call back has been answered, a beep is provided every 7 seconds as a prompt to enter a Qfollowed by a six digit
access code or the security code for programming. If 90 seconds elapses without a valid code being entered, the RAD-
AMP will disconnect. If the correct access code has been entered, the RAD-AMP will beep twice as a prompt for a
phone number to be entered. If the phone number is not entered within 20 seconds, the RAD-AMP will disconnect.
When a phone number has been entered, the RAD-AMP will flash and dial the phone number. If the RAD-AMP detects
a ring at the phone number, the RAD-AMP will hang up to connect the two parties. If the phone number dialed by the
RAD-AMP is busy, the unit will flash and beep twice for “busy” notification. A new number may then be entered if
desired.
To program a “one time only” roaming call, allow the RAD-AMP to answer and enter the access code without a
preceding “Q”. The RAD-AMP will beep once prompting the user to enter a roaming phone number. Enter the number
you wish the unit to dial and hang up. The RAD-AMP will then disconnect and call the new phone number.
Note: A Q, #, or a pause can NOT be the first digit in the roaming dialing string.
