Advanced Detection Technologies
•Accurate, false alarm-free detection – A unique,
patented technology based on an array of eight
independent PIR detectors that each monitor 1/8 of
the field of view utilizing a Quad configuration and
employing Visonic’s patented, market proven TMR™
(True Motion Recognition) algorithm.
•Advanced motion analysis – A central motion
processor analyzes the motion signals detected in each
of the individual detectors, taking into account the time,
amplitude, background temperature, speed of motion,
size of target, and the direction of motion. Then, it
compares the signals in relation to adjacent detectors
and calculates whether a real alarm is justified based
on true motion detected consecutively by the array of
individual detectors.
•Obsidian Black Mirror technology – Unique, nickel-
based, obsidian-like reflective surface acts as a selective
optical filter to infrared energy, virtually eliminating white
light interference.
• Combination of elliptical-parabolic mirror optics – This
innovative technology creates an exceptionally efficient
mirror with extremely high optical gain, delivering longer
range and providing excellent detection sensitivity and
false alarm immunity.
Robust and Reliable
•Unique, anti-vandal design – V-Slot window
technology, combined with mirror optics, enables a
relatively small and recessed window, and hence high
resistance to environmental interference and vandalism.
•Unprecedented, anti-masking protection – Based on
Visonic’s active IR transmitter and receiver anti-masking
technology, TOWER-20AM PG2 sends IR signals which
are reflected back from the surrounding area into the
receiver. Any attempt to mask these signals using
blocking devices or a spray will sound an alert.
•Anti-spray perimeter grooves – Produce a diffractive
IR beam pattern, providing a virtually unbeatable
defense, even against spray or lacquer.
•Frequency hopping – Able to hop between frequency
bands, the TOWER-20AM PG2 is resistant to almost
any radio frequency interference. It also enables long
distance communication with the panel even in harsh
security environments.
Installer-friendly
•Built-in, RF link status LED – The RF link quality
is clearly displayed with a built-in LED. Select the
optimal installation location without having to physically
approach the control panel.
•Remote maintenance – The TOWER-20AM PG2 can
be configured and tested from the panel or from a
central monitoring station, enabling remote adjustments
of the shock level, diagnostics and other parameters.
•Prolonged battery life – Based on PowerG technology,
the TOWER-20AM PG2 can operate on a single battery
for up to three (3) years.
